This wonderful 4 bedroom beach side cottage is perfect for your large family gathering. Enjoy 4 bedrooms with ample sleeping arrangements. The large open floor plan has plenty of space for your family. This home offers 4th row ocean views, and is just a short walk to closest beach access. Two four passenger golf carts come with the rental, and BHI Club Membership is available but not included. Linens are included. A Shoals Club Membership is available at an additional cost.

Easy check in and clean pleasant property! Great shady front porch. Spent a lot of time here and ate meals here. Fun central main living area. Sunset and water views from tiny master bedroom porch-- great spot to read and get away from it all

Great location and layout

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was great overall. Perfect layout for 2 families. Location was fantastic with easy access to the beach and a short ride to the market and BHI club. As other reviews noted - be sure to ask for the physical address. We had a hard time with the tram and had get on google maps and guess the address. I called the phone number provided and never received a call back with the address information.

Perfect location and an updated beach house

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have rented three different homes in Bald Head over the years and this was by far the best experience we have had. The location of this home cannot be beat! You can walk or take a quick golf cart ride to the close beach access. The blue and white golf cart is very nice and quick!Inside the home, the upgrades are so nice - from the paint colors, the backsplash, flooring, fixtures, and appliances - this home had it all. It came stocked with most of the kitchen basics we had brought but did not need to use. The floorplan was great! We enjoyed the set-up and tucked our young adult and teenager upstairs while we stayed downstairs. This home had beach towels, chairs, beach toys, and even a Shibumi!The house was very well maintained and appears to be recently updated. The washer and dryer were great and had quick cycles. The rental company was very responsive when we rented and sent nice reminder emails throughout the week. We did not have to contact them directly for any issues while we were on site. One item to consider - send the physical address to the renter by email a day or so before arriving. The tram service taking us from the ferry to our home needed the address and we only had the name. We were able to pull up the picture and our daughter looked it up on Google maps so we found the address. We would totally stay here again as we loved the location and the house - highly recommend.As for places to go on the island - the turtle conservancy, watch a sunset every night on south beach, Jailhouse Provisions for dinner, take a walk through the chapel, see the lighthouse, kayaking, watch the birds fly in and nest at night (Stede Bonnet), and just relax and enjoy the detachment from reality.

The cottage is beautiful and has a great location, less than a five minute walk to the closest beach access. We would happily stay at Driftwood Cottage again!

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall we had a great long stay at Driftwood. The house is in a great location and the renovations are nice. Some minor things I feel are lacking from a house of that quality include an ironing board, a non-stained iron, regular-sized coffee mugs, and updated beach chairs that are not rusted all over. Lastly, when we noticed that the property was not rented immediately following our stay I reached out several days prior to request a nightly rate to extend our stay and was told I would receive one to consider. I followed up a few days later and simply never heard back. It was disappointing as we were strongly interested in staying longer.
