“Mar a Villa” is a gorgeous vacation Villa that is perfect for a family/group size ranging from 6-12 people. The Villa is located in the upscale community of Playa Hermosa, eight minutes north of the little town of Coco and thirty minutes from Liberia International Airport. This gorgeous Villa is situated on a hillside overlooking the Gulf of Papagayo and, from any spot in this Villa, the panoramic views are simply sensational. Mar-a-Villa aptly earns its name because in Spanish “maravilla”means “marvelous” and that’s exactly what this exquisite Villa is!


“Mar a Villa” offers a very spacious, open air environment with approximately 8,000 square feet of living space. The Villa offers five full sized suites that can accommodate up to 12 guests. Each suite offers bathroom facilities, air conditioning, ceiling fans, and outstanding views of the Gulf. Mar-a-Villa features a very expansive interior common area that includes a large dining and living area, a full-sized kitchen, a top-of-the line sports bar with satellite TV, and an adjoining pool table/entertainment area. This expansive common area transitions very easily to an equally expansive outdoor living area that features a large infinity pool, a lounging area, a shaded dining area, and a barbecue area. The Villa is exceptionally well decorated, furnished, and designed, including marble floors, unique wall art, floor to ceiling windows facing the Gulf, extra high ceilings, spiral interior staircase, and the like. You will simply feel “maravilla” living here!


Housekeeping is automatically included at “Mar a Villa”, making for a very comfortable and pleasing stay.

We recommend your stay also include the services of our wonderful Costa Rican chef; bartender/service attendant; and dedicated driver. In choosing these options, you will enjoy the benefits of a truly carefree, relaxing, and pampered vacation. Three wonderful meals would be served each day along with an exciting variety of tropical libations and Costa Rican treats throughout the day. Your driver will be at your beck and call to take you on short or longer excursions. Should you decide to not select these “inclusive” options, the Villa is still yours to enjoy with all the support items you will require and our local representative will still be at your service to facilitate your stay in any way you choose!

THIS HOUSE IS A MUST!!!!

The whole experience was top notch. From Gabriel our driver picking us up at the airport, to Guillermo meeting us at the house and showing us around, to Armaline fixing us breakfast every morning and cleaning the house including freshening up our rooms. The staff is superb. Now the HOME, it is fabulous and everything you see in the pictures, but even better live and in person!! I would highly recommend this place and it's staff.

Playa Hermosa Villa

This was our second stay at Maravilla. The property is showing some wear compared to three years ago. However it is still a beautiful villa in a remarkable location. The pictures do not capture the views adequately. The staff are all very good. We did not know ahead of time about the breakfast buffet that was cooked each morning and was delicious. The floors could have been cleaner. The last night of our stay we had a significant water leak from one of the A/C units. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely return in the future.

Just like pictures, nice, clean and safe! Our wonderful housekeeper making breakfast every morning was an added bonus. Concierge was very attentive and helpful. only fault was not having English speaking tv in rooms. Highly recommend

Du début jusqu'à la fin, notre séjour dans cette maison et à cet endroit au Costa Rica fut magique. Nous étions un groupe en famille de 10 et cette maison a su combler tous nos besoins. De plus, la communication avant et pendant le séjour avec nos concierges Adriana et Guillermo, notre chauffeur José et notre chef Rocio fut à un niveau hors pair rendant les vacances parfaites.

Absolutely perfect

We had such an exceptional trip. As a family of 9, ranging in age from 78-9 years old, finding a place that appealed to everyone wasn't easy, but Costa Rica, and specifically this house, hit it out of the park. First, the view is epic and the photos just can't really capture how awesome it is. The house feels like a hotel — every room has a balcony and a view and an en suite bathroom, the living room is so grand, we could all sit on the couch comfortably, and then there's Armelin who cooked up a delicious spread every morning (and even packed us breakfast burritos to-go on days we had to leave early). Guillermo, our Star Villas concierge, was clutch. He was on top of everything and helped us schedule in-home chefs and activities. Playa Hermosa is a pretty small town, and you'll need to drive to larger grocery stores etc, and the roads are steep and pretty rough in some areas so I highly recommend hiring a driver through Star Villas. Our driver Livingston was great, he made some of the longer drives more interesting by pointing out different agricultural things and even wildlife on our Palo Verde boat ride. There's literally nothing I would change about this place, 100% worth it.

The Perfect Family Getaway

Sandy, our concierge went above and beyond to help us and even went as far as to alert us when we had a monkey hanging out (literally) in our backyard. The view is incredible from every room. I still miss having my amazing costa rican morning coffee from that deck. Amarin, the chef and housekeeper prepared delicious meals each morning and was so accomodating to make sure to do some American items as well so some of our pickier eaters would be happy. The house is in immaculate shape and everything is top notch but at the same time with 5 kids it was very welcoming. It was the perfect balance. I can't say enough good things about MaraVilla. You cannot go wrong with this villa and everything that comes with it.

Simply Perfect

Our blended family of 12 stayed here earlier this year. When first arriving at the Villa, the view takes your breath away. It's gorgeous. The Villa was immaculate and the Staff was extremely accommodating, resourceful, and helpful without being intrusive. The entire experience was 5/5 stars for adults and children. 25th Wedding Anniversary

We selected this location and Villa to pamper ourselves in ultimate luxury for our 25th wedding anniversary. We have traveled the globe and this was the most comfortable and peaceful we have ever been. The Villa's appointments are spectacular and the supporting staff ensured our stay was comfortable and worry free. From the moment we arrived, we felt relaxed and at home. Between the view and the pool, it was hard to pull ourselves away to do any of the multiple activities that are available in the immediate area. We thoroughly enjoyed the birds and Howler Monkeys that visit the trees that surround the house. They were one of the many highlights of our days in Costa Rica. The restaurants in the local area have a diverse selection of food and the quality as well as the service is outstanding. We are going to return to this paradise as soon as possible. We still talk about this time almost daily and can not wait to return.

Awesome

Wow, this place is unbelievable. Breath taking view of Playa Hermosa and the bay. The villa is first class. We spent most of our time outside on the deck and pool area. The rooms are large and beautifully furnished. It is in a great location, only 25 minutes to the airport. The beach, shops, restaurants, fishing, zip line and more are close by. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Can't wait to go back.

Amazing vacation villa

Family loved this villa, great master bedroom on main floor with the other 4 bedrooms downstairs. We choose to have the staff provided and a driver with van to take us on excursions and to beaches. The guys loved the pool table and the girls had mani/pedi on balcony while looking at the ocean. We will definitely return someday.
