On its own sugary white sand beach lapped by the turquoise waters of Discovery Bay sits the exquisite home Sugar Bay. Interiors are distinguished by elegant custom-designed furniture, color-washed walls, gleaming breadnut floors, and fascinating objets d`art from around the world.

A sweeping staircase curves gracefully through the dramatic living room to a minstrel's gallery and cozy upstairs second sitting area with satellite/DSS television and VCR. Quadraphonic speakers fill the vaulted living room, verandah and pool area with sound.
Salmon-hued Italian tiles, the blue mosaic pool, flower-draped balconies and porches, and textures of terra cotta and stone create a Mediterranean ambiance. From the large verandah, the soft grassy lawn gently slopes 30 feet to the 100-foot private beach.

Two seaside gazebos provide wonderful platforms for heavenly massages and for watching glorious sunsets across the bay.

Home-cooked meals are served on the verandah ~ or guests may opt to dine in the country-French indoor dining room, a quietly elegant space featuring a unique hand-carved sideboard and rushwoven chairs. As a special treat, the staff will plan a torchlight beach party ~ chicken, lobster, tenderloin or fresh fish grilled on the outdoor barbecue.

The seaside gazebo provides a wonderful platform for watching glorious sunsets across the water and dining romantically by candlelight. Star-gazing from this spot is magical.

Water sports are available just a few minutes drive from Sugar Bay. In lively Ocho Rios 25 minutes away are night life, excellent restaurants, shops, open-air craft markets, more water sports, Prospect Plantation Great House, rafting on the Martha Brae, jitney tours of a working plantation and dramatic Dunn's River Falls. Driving time from the Montego Bay airport to Sugar Bay is approximately 55 minutes. Discovery Bay is a pristine aqua jewel on Jamaica's north coast boasting some of the Island's most beautiful private homes. Sugar Bay is one of the best.
