The property had more than what we needed for our stay. And the view - I miss it already! We found some great places to eat and explore on this side of the park. Communication with owner was easy.

The view you wake up too each day is just beautiful. House was very clean and had allthe amenities you could need. The bedrooms got a little warm at night but fans were provided. Overall, it was a great stay.

Relaxing and beautiful view

The property was beautiful and clean. My family enjoyed staying here and relaxing after long and busy days in Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.

Perfect Acadia home base

This house was amazing with location right on the bay with staircase direct access, the kids loved exploring the area during low tide. Very easy drive into Acadia/Bar Harbor but with privacy for the end of the day wind down. Owners were very responsive to any inquiries and helped make this a very memorable vacation.

This is a dream vacation home if you love the ocean and want to come back for a quiet relaxing evening before heading back to Acadia each morning. We saw deer grazing every morning and enjoyed some great meals in town following Beth's guide. I loved having my morning coffee watching the lobster boat head out as I sat on the rocks by the water.
Every night gave us a beautiful sunset

The property is clean and well stocked. It’s a little off the beaten path, but still close to what you need. Easy drives to Schoodic Point and Bar Harbor/Acadia.

Beautiful scenery in a peaceful and serene setting on Taunton Bay. Great location for the areas we chose explore during our visit. There were 4 adults and the house was very comfortable and spacious.

We had an amazing time at this property! From the moment we arrived everything was exactly as described-clean, and well stocked with everything we needed. The location was perfect: peaceful and private, yet close to local attractions, Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor.The rental truly fely like a home away from home. we especially loved relaxing on the deck in the evenings. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a stress-free, comfortable, memorable getaway in Maine.

Our family of four loved our stay at the Coombs' home. The house was clean and the decor was charming and minimal which lent itself to the relaxed vibe of the place. The two larger bedrooms had spectacular views of the water and my husband and I appreciated having an en suite bathroom in our room. Although we spent a lot of time on the go, my youngest loved going down the stairs to sit on the rocks with me and take in the quiet, gorgeous surroundings of the property. Birdwatchers, don't forget your binoculars!!On the one rainy day of our trip we went to the movies in Bangor and browsed the cool antique store on 1A. The rest of the time was spent in Acadia and Bar Harbor, hiking South Bubble, Jordan Pond, Schoodic Point, Cadillac Mountain and exploring side of the road pull offs. Dinner at Ironbound and the pizza and beer at Fogtown Brewing were just a couple of our favorite food experiences. Pie at Lincoln's Farmstand and coffee at Precipice are other recommendations that lived up to their promises. You won't regret booking with Beth. Her hospitality is bar none and we hope to be back soon!

Friends trip

Such an amazing house and property. There is a house that is close and shares the driveway which was confusing on arrival. Overall i would definitely stay again

Great House, Secluded Waterfront Location

Beth, thanks so much for letting us share your little piece of paradise for a few days. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Although the distance to the park is a bit far, it took no time at all and the trip the Schoodic side was very convenient. I would recommend your place to anyone wanting a quiet home base with access to everything.

Fall vacation

The Maine Bay house was wonderful. It was clean and had all the space we needed for our group of 4. There was everything thing that you need for preparing meals in the kitchen. The relaxing views and quietness of the location was just what we were looking for. It is an easy drive to Acadia National Park and BarHarbor for shopping and dining. We would love to stay again.

Quite and peaceful

This was a very comfortable home. Nice and clean. Beautiful view. Beds were comfy and place was very clean. Beth was very easy to communicate with. There is a home next to the property. Never ran into anyone and it was peaceful. Would definitely recommend this place if you want to get out and away from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor.

This is a perfect house for the Bar Harbor - Acadia area. I've never stayed in such a peaceful environment. The home was spotless and the host was extremely prompt with any questions we had. Sitting on the deck overlooking the water after a day of running around and doing the sightseeing stuff was stunning. I can't say enough about the property, it was of the best vacation homes we've had. Grill on the back porch came in handy too.I wish I could say more but if you're in the area, do yourself a favor and book this place. I know if I'm ever back in Maine I sure will. Thanks Beth!!! Cheers!

We could not have asked for a better experience! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The home was spotless, well appointed, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we could have needed. The location was ideal: close enough to enjoy Acadia (including Schoodic) and many harbors, yet peaceful and private when we wanted to relax. We especially loved the view from the porch and seeing the Milky Way at night. It was the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring.Communication was quick, clear, and friendly. The thoughtful touches and attention to detail made a big difference and showed how much care is put into this property. In fact, you can tell how much the property is care for, and it makes you want to do your part to keep it in such great shape. We would absolutely return in a heartbeat and highly recommend this Vrbo to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and a truly memorable stay. Thank you for giving us such a wonderful experience—we can’t wait to come back!

The house was nice, very well equipped in the kitchen, although a new toaster oven would be good. A coffee table in the living room, and more outdoor furniture with some shade for the front porch are needed also. The view is fantastic, but we couldn’t enjoy it during most of the day because there’s no shade. The location of the house was great, very peaceful, but close enough to town and an easy drive to Bar Harbor and Schoodic peninsula. Our biggest issue is with the Moose! We all hit our heads on it a least once due to its massive size and location. I don’t think it belongs in a rental home of that size.

We appreciate your suggestions regarding the outdoor seating, shade, coffee table, and toaster oven, and we’ll certainly keep those in mind as we continue to improve the home. Can you elaborate on the toaster over? Was it not working appropriately, stained, or not the type of toaster you prefer? As for the Moose—we’re sorry he made such an impression! He is certainly a large piece and we understand that his size and location may not work for everyone. We’ll take your feedback into consideration. We had a wonderful stay at the property as a family of 5, including a toddler. The house is even better than the pictures and the views are amazing. Despite having one other property next door, it really does feel incredibly remote and perfect for exploring the area (15 mins to Tunk Mountain, 20 mins to Ellsworth, 45 mins to Bar Harbour etc).The garden was lovely and safe for our toddler to explore and it was great being set back from all main roads. The local neighbourhood was good, with the dollar store for forgotten essentials and an incredible ice cream parlour - they even had a local jazz festival at the bandstand on Wednesday! The house had everything we needed for our stay and the host even popped round a new gas canister for the grill within 5 minutes of it running out! We all fully recommend this property for your vacation and would come back in a heartbeat.

Beautiful house, beautiful view, very clean and has everything that family needs. Host was wonderful with answering to all questions and very accommodating. We had a great stay and highly recommend this house and this location.
