5 Minutes to the Hamlet of Highland; in a semi-rural area.
10 minutes to New Paltz, NY.
While the house is near Rte 9, it is NOT right on Rte 9. You may hear some traffic around house and outside.
Very few neighbors around and 2 acres of land.

You will have access to the whole house and yard. You will not have access to the washer and dryer unless you stay for more than 4 days. There are 3 interior doors that have locks for owner supplies, and the shed out back has a lock on it.

The entire yard is available for you to use. Patio area in the back yard has BBQ, outdoor dining area, fire pit (you supply the firewood) with adirondack chairs, hammock. Front of the house has 2 Adirondack chairs for your relaxation, and the south side of home you can relax next to stream with 2 Adirondack chairs.

THE SPACES

BEDROOMS + BATHROOMS
Each of the 4 bedrooms features a queen bed & cozy furnishings. Two of the bedrooms include ensuite bathrooms, while another bedroom & full bath are conveniently located on the ground floor—ideal for multigenerational stays. The 3.5 bathrooms are all modern, spacious, & thoughtfully stocked.
Two bedrooms that share a bathroom (Bedroom 2 and 3) are on the third floor and are two flights up from the downstairs bedroom (just something to be aware of if you’re traveling with kids).

KITCHEN & DINING
The main kitchen is fully equipped w/ new appliances, ample counter space, & all the essentials for cooking up a group meal. A second kitchenette adds extra flexibility for bigger groups. Coffee lovers will be thrilled by the full coffee bar setup—espresso, French press, drip, & more.

LOUNGE SPACES
Unwind in either of the two living areas, perfect for game nights, catching up, or sipping wine after a hike. The home’s layout makes it easy for large groups to spread out or come together comfortably.

OUTSIDE SPACE
Relax by the fire pit or wander to the babbling stream & kick back in Adirondack chairs. The yard is made for play, featuring games & wide-open space. The rural setting offers starry skies & peaceful vibes all around.

Getting around
A car is a must to explore the area. We're 2 hours from JFK Airport & just 15 minutes from the Poughkeepsie train station—an easy ride from NYC. Parking on site is plentiful.


Other things to note
This is an old house, and we have taken great effort to modernize it while retaining its old-world charm. The house does have its quirks, but that is part of its charm.

No fires are permitted in the indoor fireplaces. Please respect this and do not light any fires inside the fireplace at all!!

You will NOT have access to a washer or dryer during your stay, unless you are staying for 4 days or longer.

WILDLIFE & MAINTENANCE
Our home is in a rural residential neighborhood with a lot of wildlife. You will often see deer roaming on our property. We have pest control & insect treatments monthly. While we do our best, we cannot guarantee you will not see a bug in our home - we are in the country!

~ Minimum age to rent is 21 and primary guest must stay for the duration of the booking.
~ The home sits near a road with traffic, and while you are NOT on the road with traffic, you will hear it. If you are looking for a quiet place with no sounds – then this place is not for you.
~ This home is on a septic system so occupancy is strictly enforced to avoid a septic backup of sewage in the house. Your max occupancy during your booking is what you submit in your booking. Additional guests must be approved.
~ Stays longer than 2 weeks:
We require a light cleaning every 2 weeks in addition to the checkout cleaning. (prices TBD)

No parties, or events or commercial use of property.
Please take your shoes off and we provide slippers for you.
