Charming Stone Chalet in Wooded Surroundings with Heated Pool Spring to Fall.

Located on a quiet road, exactly one mile off the scenic Taconic parkway, this is perfect place to relax and unwind from a busy week in the city or traveling from afar. A long secluded driveway leads to stonewalls surrounding garden in front of a beautiful stone house and 3 acres with paths where you can enjoy wooded privacy. A 4ft wood fence encloses the lower hard wood deck surrounding a 4ft deep heated pool with water slide and access ladder lounge chairs, umbrella's, snack table and chairs. The pool which is serviced by our pool team weekly . The upper deck equipped for entertaining with Barbeque Grill, picnic table, benches and lounge chairs. This home is totally renovated with natural wood floors, reclaimed wood paneling on all walls and a south -facing full glass wall overlooking the pool. The great room with heated stone floor and stone fireplace and living room with field stone fireplace . Downstairs recreation room, furnished , football table, laundry room and full bath with heated stone floor. Our 4 bedrooms (sleeps 9) and upper floor has a bathtub, lower floors have walk in showers. The 1st floor has limited handicap accessibility with 2 steps from the drive way and 1 step from the sitting room. there are 2 bedrooms a bathroom with a walk in shower with grab bars. the kitchen, dining room and living room opens out to the upper deck at level grade.

5 minutes from the small, welcoming town of Stanfordville and it’s Village Recreation Center as well as many surrounding family farms with fresh foods available. There are wineries breweries and a distillery which have weekend events from Spring to Fall. The American culinary institute, many exquisite restaurants, drive-in movies, golf course and shopping only 20 minutes away. In the summer there are multiple riding schools that offer summer camps and the famous Dutchess County Fair only 15 minutes away. Our home is equipped with central air and heat to keep you cool and comfortable. In the winter you'll only 35 minutes from the slopes.

This warm and welcoming home met every one of our needs. The communication with the host was great. We had such a nice time and enjoyed the fire pit for evenings filled with storytelling and laughter. We could not have asked for anything more and this stay checked all the boxes for us. The kitchen was well appointed and the bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. Five stars!!!!

What a beautiful home in a peaceful spot! This is our second time renting this home. The owner quickly made himself available when we had questions as well. The house has everything you need for a perfect stay in the countryside including a heated pool with a deck around it that begs for decompression lounging. Beautiful historic Rhinebeck is a short trip away as well as nice hiking trails and wineries. We highly recommend this rental!

We loved staying at John's place. It was very cozy and charming. The beds were comfortable. We had more than enough towels and sheets. The pool being heated was a big plus! We plan on going back soon. Thanks, John for getting back to me so quickly when I had a few questions.

The Cabin in the woods

The house is a cabin because it has been used and loved for many years. It was good to have central air and a pool considering the heat the week we stayed. The listing needs some updating because there wasn't a futon and the third bathroom was in the basement. If you have OCD this is not the place for you. If you're comfortable with a rustic cabin then you will do just fine. Kids bedroom needs the smoke detector replaced.

Perfect!

We were coming to the area for a weekend wedding and were looking for a quiet place to stay. The house was amazing! The deck and the pool were perfect for morning coffee or an afternoon dip before heading to the festivities. John was at the property when we arrived and showed us around and where everything was. The house is absolutely beautiful! It has everything you could need, very clean and in a very quiet area - but not too far out where you cannot easily get to town or have access to groceries, shops, etc. We had an amazing weekend! Wonderful property for a perfect time! Thank you again!!

I fell in love with every space this house offered. Inside felt like home. Very comfortable. 3 floors, the kids enjoyed the games in the basement. Plenty of beds. The huge yard, pool wasn't quite warm enough to soak in, however the weather that week wasn't great. I would stay here over and over again.

Wonderful stay!

We loved our New Year's gathering here -- the fireplace was perfect (with tons of wood provided), and the kitchen and living space were lovely for us to make big meals and just hang out. Beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of space for a group of adults.

Great location

This was the second time hosting Christmas dinner for friends at this property. Love the way it has Christmas decorations including a full size Christmas tree. Less things for me to bring. House is cozy and warm with the help of a fireplace. Plenty of wood in the wood storage hut. A short drive to the cute town of Rhinebeck, with lots of shops and restaurants. My Frenchie, Remi, enjoyed walking around the property. Watching the sunrise from the living room which has huge windows was a highlight. A wonderful time was had by all!

Great weekend getaway

We have been coming to this house for the last several years and always enjoy ourselves! We particularly love the wood burning fireplace, the upstairs loft and the vast windows on the lower level where you can view a spectacular sunrise or sunset. Plenty of room for 4 adults and 3 kids!

Secluded Country Setting

Quiet neighborhood, large living room/dining room area, I wish lighting was better for reading & crafting. Kitchen appliances needed updating; beds comfortable and rooms clean. Bathrooms acceptable, but soap dispensers empty. Nice towels and linens provided. Parking good. Evidence of need for exterminator in parts of home. Property manager responded to questions.

The house was fantastic. Deck & fire pit with the sunrise, fires in the fireplace at night, spacious, with lots of great amenities! We all enjoyed staying here and would highly recommend it!

We rebuilt the house from top to bottom over the last 20 year using local natural resources. We have enjoyed our time as a family growing together over the long summer stays and winter breaks from the city. They have been some of the best times of our lives. We fell in love with Clinton Corners having grown up in Ireland and in our travels we found that this area best emulated our feeling of home away from home , and yet in a one and a half hour drive you are back in New yok city.

This location was only 90 minutes from New York City and 1 mile off the Taconic Parkway. The country setting was totally relaxing but there is endless things to do and places to go all within a short distance driving that you could never find in the city.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Sitting back and watching the renowned Dutchess County Sunset on a summers evening. Or walking around the neighborhood as a family with our dog, meeting our neighbors along the way. Getting to know not only our neighbors but the regulars in the local village that have lived there for years but are still welcoming to newcomers. It is always the best place to have a family party, and not only do we enjoy it but our family and friends look forward to their chance to drive up and spend the weekend there, either relaxing or celebrating.
