Chesapeake Bay Waterfront Cottage. Comforts of home with unobstructed water view

Spend more time enjoying your vacation! A beautiful, well appointed short or long term getaway without the long drive! Enjoy vast Chesapeake Bay waterfront views and front seat sunsets. Watch the eagles, osprey and hawks fish and soar from the Adirondack chairs near the edge of the 60 foot high bluff above the water, on the comfortable screened porch, or inside the cozy living room! Catch up on your reading, or enjoy some peace and quiet away from home. The community beach is a 5 minute walk down the road. Please note there is only a beach at low tide! There is a ramp and steps to the water to take a swim. Swings and picnic tables. There are Two kayaks, good for fishing, 2 Stand Up Boards and a dolly to pull them to the community beach or put them in your car for a one minute drive to community beach. We have Family Board games, a gas BBQ, firepit, and picnic table. FREE fast WiFi, 2 Smart TV's, cotton sheets, and thick towels are provided for you. The kitchen has everything you will need including a Keurig coffee maker (supplied with plenty of coffee and tea pods for each visit.) Central heating and Air Conditioning.
Things to do besides stargazing, swimming and unwinding: Take a Short drive to some of the best towns to explore on Upper Bay – Galena is a 10 min drive to the ice cream store, restaurants, local grocery and farm market. Chesapeake City, Northeast and Chestertown are only 15 minutes away. Havre de Grace and Rock Hall are 45 minutes. Saint Michaels and Annapolis is a scenic one hour drive. 3 Wineries are less than15 minutes away. Explore the hiking trails and boat launches at Mount Harmon

The property is a short distance to Wilmington, DE (1 hour away) Baltimore and Philadelphia (1.5 hours away) Washington, DC (2 hours away).

Gracious hosts, Bright and Airy cottage

We felt very welcome guests in this Chesapeake retreat. From the snacks and coke in the fridge,to the sparkling cabin, everything said "Enjoy." And we did!

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT

This was exactly what we hoped for. Relaxing, peaceful, breathtaking view, immaculate house and the perfect screened in porch. Love the open concept. My husband and I normally go to the beach for vacation. We wanted to try something different. This did not disappoint. The sunsets were great. We were pretty busy. Drank our coffee on the porch looking at the water in the morning. Took drives just to see what was around. Cocktails & snacks in the afternoon. Dinner using the grill. Then sitting down by the water to watch the sunset. If that is what you’re looking for? This is where you want to go! Dave & Ginny (hosts) were wonderful & so friendly. Felt like we were old friends when we chatted with them. The only issue we had. We should have taken more time off. We will fix that next year!!

Perfect location, house, and owners/managers

This cottage on the Chesapeake was even more than the description listed! I was looking for a quiet, secluded getaway with amazing views, and that was delivered. Even better, I was amazed by the home being so well-stocked, decorated, comfortable, clean, modern, and safe. I cannot wait to go back there. Everything promised was delivered and more. If the owners ever sell, please think of me first! Thank you for letting me stay.

Amazing sunsets and the beautiful eagles

We enjoy everything about this place. Amazing , clean, seeing many eagles, great sunsets and well stocked house. We brought spices and coffee but if you forget, they have you covered. Will be back.

Relaxing!

The property was very clean and nicely decorated. Plenty of cooking supplies on hand. The view was amazing. The entire trip was very relaxing… even the storms. The owners are very pleasant to deal with and wer responsive to messages I will absolutely stay here again.

Perfect Venue for a Memorable Weekend

My husband and I rented this property to celebrate our 20th anniversary with an intimate family vow renewal ceremony. We stayed with my two children who shared the bedroom with the trundle bed. The hosts couldn't have been more kind and thoughtful in their communications and attention to detail in preparing for our stay. The house was better than pictured, sparkling clean and even had some fun games that my kids enjoyed and that we enjoyed as a family. The setting was stunning and the perfect backdrop for our celebration. We spent 90% of our time on the screened-in porch enjoying the amazing views without worry of bug bites and keeping cool with the breeze of the overhead fans. Even the next door neighbor was kind and friendly. We had just a delightful stay and made so many family memories. I am so grateful!

A Peaceful Retreat

This home is well-appointed and the views over the water are great. Every sunset was beautiful! Nicely shaded sitting areas too. The neighborhood is very low key and quiet. The photos are accurate — it is a small home with lots of character. A/C was great and the screened porch allowed us to sit outside into the evening bug-free. Beds were comfortable and the whole place was clean. Games, binoculars for bird watching, kayak, SUPs and fully-stocked kitchen rounded out the lovely amenities. Reading lamps and accessible outlets for charging items were a nice touch. Water access is a few minutes’ walk to a set of stairs and ramp to the narrow beach area. No real “waves” but from the property you could hear the water lapping at the shore. Very peaceful retreat away from it all!

Nice Peaceful Cottage With a view.

We had a fantastic stay! The view was great, and the property was nice, with all the essentials, good wifi, and a spacious yard. The HOA is a friendly community, and Ginny and Dave were great hosts. Highly recommend!

Simply the best!

Beautifully updated cottage. A incredible view with hawks and eagles flying through the yard. The new owners are great. Responsive and caring without being intrusive. They have thought of everything from all types of soaps to a fully stocked kitchen. This rental is my favorite of all the many we have rented over the years.

Location!

Views absolutely breathtaking. Unfortunately no fishing or kayak launch available. Heat changes itself. Hot water in shower was welcomed. Could not get hot water in sinks. Plenty of places to walk!

Loved it and already looking to go back

If you want to be left alone in a very charming, cozy and well thought out cottage, look no further. Ah! It also helps the views are amazing! I live in Jersey and work in Manhattan, was craving a weekend to disconnect and recharge, and this did the job. We had a minor issue with lack of hot water the first night which got resolved with no fuss. Other than that everything was perfect. Highly recommend!

Amazing cottage

This cottage was over the top with cleanliness, style, location and more… the view is worth every minute of our stay. I cannot wait to come back. I loved, loved this cottage. Fireplace, beautiful kitchen with top of the line pots, pans, dishes, towels. Everything you could ever want, just like being at your own home.

Most beautiful place we have ever stayed. The view is breath taken. The house was adorable. If we could we would rent it every weekend. So beautiful and relaxing. The cottage has everything someone needs and is amazing. We love, love, love it. Thank you so much for sharing it with us.

Second visit also wonderful!

My wife and I had such a good time on our first visit we went again, and we had another great trip! We enjoyed peace and quiet and beautiful views of the sunset over the Chesapeake Bay. The cottage is perfect for two and everything is very thoughtfully furnished and arranged.

Dream getaway

It was a perfect way to “get away from it all” The cottage was perfect in every way. The details … you thought of everything! Thank you for making us feel right at home. Beautiful retreat

Despite a major storm, we had a wonderful time at the cottage. During our four day stay, we only saw a couple of people. Most of the weekend, we sat on the screened porch watching the eagles, boats, and storm. When we did go inside, we had a nice fire in the fireplace. Best of all, we slept and slept in the amazing quiet! We'll be back!!

Cozy Cottage

Perfect location to watch bald eagles and enjoy peace and quiet by the Bay. The cottage was very clean and so cozy and comfortable! The kitchen and bath were very well equipped with everything we needed. The screened in porch was our favorite place to relax. We love the East Shore area and plan to return to this beautiful property.

We have been looking for a place that has a waterfront view, access to the water for boating, swimming and fishing in a small friendly community… comforts of home without the hassle… obviously, we found it! We are hosting for a limited time until we can move here permanently!!

We love the quiet of this house while watching boats go by. You can hear water lapping, the eagles, ospreys and hawks calling each other and watch them fishing. The light breeze and the sound of the leaves on the trees lulls us to sleep.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

We provide sheets and bath towels, body wash, shampoo, laundry detergent (hopefully you don't have to do any...it’s vacation!!) Warm comforters and blankets... It can get chilly at night even in the summer... there is wood for the fire pit outside along the side of the house if you want!
We have a smart tv so you can log into your own streaming accounts. The TV is set up to log into your own netflix, hulu, Apple tv, prime video accounts etc…
A fun app to download when you are staying is the Marine Traffic App... you can download for free and will show you the boat name, captain, where the boat is going and what the boat is carrying as it passes by the cottage.
