This charming all ground level, 2 bedroom, 2 bath home is walking distance to Sombrero Beach. This truly makes you feel like you are home-away from home. With deep water docking available, boating guests love access leading right to the ocean!

Cancellation Policy ~ All cancellations are subject to a $250 cancellation fee.
We have a strict 90-day cancellation policy. There are no cancellations, switching of homes or changing of dates within 90 days of the arrival date. The following fees are nonrefundable for reservations cancelled within 90 days of arrival: security deposit, reservation fee, processing fee, and any partial rental payments.

All funds collected are nonrefundable for cancellations within 30 days of arrival.

The guest named on the rental agreement is the only one who may cancel the reservation.

Quiet location close to the beach

We enjoyed the stay - especially the proximity to Sombrero Beach. Quiet location which was perfect. The only suggestion is that it would have been nice to have a few beach chairs and an umbrella available to use.

Marathon Getaway

Excellent property with a close walk to Sombrero beach and park. Nice quiet, clean home with water access if you have a boat or kayak. We will definitely be back!

Comfortable and spacious ranch home several blocks from Sombrero Beach.

Great property in a very prime location with many comfortable amenities. Clean and spacious well equipped home. Our only complaint was the lack of paper towels, garbage bags, dish soap and toilet paper that are often provided by the host.

Great experience

Rental company was a pleasure to work with. The house was a great location very easy access for the boats. AC stopped working and they had someone out and fixed it within the hour!

Great place close to the beach!

I enjoyed my week at this house. Just a few minutes walk to the beach. House was clean and the management company was very professional and prompt in response to any questions I had. Looking forward to staying here in the future.

Good location, nice neighborhood

The upgrades with kitchen and bathrooms was very nice. The beds are very comfortable. It needs better furnishings, i.e. A chair in each bedroom; a floor lamp in the back family room for evening reading.

Close to sombrero beach!

Beautiful property with easy access to Sombrero Beach by water and land. We put our paddle boards in at the dock on the canal and paddles out to the ocean.

Our first vacation since COVID. This was an awesome house. Beds slept great, air worked well.

The house was exceptionally clean when we arrived. Leslie always answered our emails quickly. Beds comfortable and had all items necessary in kitchen. Would definitely stay at this house again! Great location and 3 min walk to beach, Publix right up street, and everything in Marathon within 10 to 15minute drive. We had a beautiful vacation!

So close to Sombrero!

The house was immaculate. We cooked just a bit and had enough kitchen tools. The house could use some beach chairs and beach towels. There were three of us and it was a perfect fit with two newly done full bathrooms. The walk to Sombrero Beach takes about 5 minutes-and that was something we did almost every day we were there.

EXCELLENT House - Clean and Location, Location, Location

Loved this property! Everything was as listed and contactless check-in/check-out was super simple. The property manager was very helpful, giving us tips about changes that are not necessarily posted on various websites, like altered hours of operation of grocery stores and restaurants due to the pandemic. The house was spacious and CLEAN. We rented 3 kayaks for the week from a local outfitter (Keys Kayaks - also very good and the best prices) and there was plenty of space outside to store them. The dock was really nice and well maintained. It's height was only a couple of feet above the water, so it was easy to drop in and pull out the the kayaks with the bit of rope Mead from Keys Kayaks gave us. The dock had a nice cleaning station and water hose at its end, which was really convenient. There was also an outdoor shower on the side of the house and a back door to a mud room/laundry area that leads right into the master bathroom. This was really nice and convenient when coming in wet. There is also plenty of outdoor chairs for lounging around. The location was amazing. Walking to Sombrero Beach took about 3 mins. Paddling out of the canal and around the corner to the beach took about 10 min. Add another 10 min. paddle across the beach to Boot Key (west of Sombrero) - filled with lots of kayak trails through the mangroves. (If you know how to kayak, don't waste your money on a guided tour. It's all interconnected and you can't get lost. You can totally guide yourself.) On the water at Sombrero we had close encounters with dolphins. In the canal, we had several close encounters with manatees. They hang out near the docks hoping someone will hose them with fresh water - so be careful if you have a motorized boat. (BTW - the locals advise that you NOT water the manatees. They're trying to discourage the canal hangout spot because the manatees can be injured by boats.) The main road (Sombrero Beach Rd.) is not terribly big or busy, so it's safe to cross from the house to the sidewalk. The grocery store is 1.5 miles from the house. The kitchen has lots of storage for groceries and a spacious refrigerator. Plenty of pots and pans and other dishware for cooking. The only thing I would recommend is that the couch in the living room be reconsidered. The cushions were pretty worn and it wasn't too comfy. But otherwise, this place was perfect. We highly recommend and will stay again next time we're in the Keys!

This property has the location to be in. Steps to the best beach in the Keys. Has everything for everyone including fisherman like myself.

Perfect for a week

1st VRBO rental. Straight to the point. Updated house with GREAT A/C! Master has a king sized memory foam bed, huge bathroom w/ Jacuzzi tub. Laundry room is through the master bath. Kitchen was really nice, new fridge, great sink, plenty of tableware and silverware. Most of the pans lost their non-stick ability though :(. Really nice updated backyard/dock, caught some juvenile Tarpon there. KEY*** its only about a mile to Publix on left and Winn Dixie and Kmart(fishing stuff) on right. Gas is right there too! Couches look nice in picture, a little uncomfortable. Might need to refresh those. Pads are worn so you feel the supports. I would absolutely stay here again. Location is fantastic. Cheers!

Home Away From Home

We spent a week at this lovely, comfortable property and found everything to be as described. The location was perfect because I could walk around the winding walkway at the beach which was two blocks away. The home suited us because we needed a one story house without any steps, several TVs, fans, king size bed and suitable lighting for reading. This is not always the case so I was delighted to find such a property. The rooms are large with lots of space. The master bath is incredible with a jetted tub, large laundry room and large windows. I just loved this house. Thank you to Leslie who responded so quickly as well as check up on us several days into the trip. If you visit, make sure to go to Crane Point and take the boat to Pigeon Key. Both places are enjoyable and very interesting.

Perfect Rental!

Great location, fantastic home! Perfect for pet owners and families. Can walk to the beach, quiet neighborhood. Only criticism is there were NO lounge chairs!! There were several seating groups in the yard, but no recliners for sunbathing. Loved all the updates and laundry area. Would definitely return!

Amazing Place, Great for Fishing!

This is a great property. For some reason it was one of the only ones left at the time we booked but it was great! The home is very cute with a spacious interior- perfect for two couples. We enjoyed the huge outdoor lounging areas around the house at night when the breezes would pick up. Best of all, the house was a five minute boat ride out into the gulf where there are plentiful reefs to snorkel and other places to spearfish. We spent a lot of time under the 7-mile bridge, also a short boat ride away, and caught tons of fish to eat. Very close to Marathon stores such as Publix, Home Depot, etc. Bring your bikes! There are tons of cute trails. There wasn't a thing I would change about this place, I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to a small group looking for a quiet home with great water access.
