Sobre esta propriedade
8 acres of peace and quiet by the pool in the south finger lakes region
1920 sq ft split level on 8 acres with in-ground pool!!! Property has 260 yards of creek front and deer on property. 350 sq ft deck. Fire pit!
1 mile from big lake for fishing and boating. Easy access to Corning and finger lakes!
Multi family destination. Guys or girls getaway weekend. Hunters may like for hunting camp. Cleaning lady told me this is perfect for short term rentals for weeks on end for the local fracking companies that send people out.
I have a website for this property - please inquire and I can share it.
The space
Open and ready to go! Unfortunately, this place books up quick as a lot of the family friends are on top of this!
This is (for now) a 3BR/2BA split level - not shared. On 8 acres mostly wooded. The upper level is currently being renovated with all new stainless appliances and flooring in bedrooms and kitchen. Hardwood in living room, dining room, and hallways.
The lower level is currently unfinished and guests are prevented from entering. As the years go on, I plan to have improvements to the home. There's 2 more BR and a BA downstairs along with a potential game room I want to develop. I'd also like to have a steel building built as an outbuilding at some point.
Master bedroom has a kind bed
Oversized bedroom has 2 queens
Standard bedroom room has a queen
Home has a large TV and 2gbps fiber connection. Bring your Roku or firestick, as the TV there is an older smart TV and used for your own TV apps.
Deck out back is about 350 sq ft and has a griddle and outdoor furniture.
In ground pool is ready to go!
Looking for guests who like to visit every year - those who are QUIET and can stay on my property. No parties!! This is a "chill" place to enjoy the outdoors, sit by the fire pit, spend a ton of time in the pool during the day, walk down to the creek/waterfalls.
Note - Please do NOT go past my house whether in car or walking. While it is a public road, it is a "no outlet" and I do not want my guests to impose on my neighbor's perceived space. Quiet time at 11PM means to go inside, as even conversation at 1AM can resonate through the area and I don't want anyone to get the police called on them.
Experienced in long term rentals. This is my second home I will be at a lot and when I’m not there I want to open it to you!
The house is 54 years old. With that - this is not some ultra modern new place for $5000 a week. It has minor flaws, which build character :)
This is a large oversized split level that has age. That being said - the idea of this entire place is for you to be OUTSIDE and enjoy the entire property (until it is quiet time). There are nicer houses out there that are FAR more expensive if you just want to stay inside of a house all week. I’m not trying to compete with them. Not what I’m selling. This is a gem in that the total package of the size of house, sleeping capabilities, pool, creek, yard, wildlife, hiking, open areas, access to finger lakes, deck, access to lake, fire pit- will be an experience that transforms you. That being said - everything that can be upgraded has been - all shiny new appliances, brand new beds, bathroom fixtures, pex water lines, etc. .
I want people that rent this out to come back every year for the next 20 years - IF they are quiet and respectful of my neighbor's space. Closest neighbors are 300+ yards away, but rural areas are meant to be quiet and peaceful.
Other things to note
Email me if you want to see the web page that I created for this. Vrbo doesn't allow it posted. I talk more about how to operate the griddle, etc.
This property is being marketed to a lot of different types of types of guests:
- family - bring your oversized family or book with another family to split costs. Explore the pool. Hike the property. Splash in the creek! Collect kindling for a fire to make hot dogs over it.
- guys long weekend! Go shooting nearby at approved areas. Drink expensive booze by the fire pits and chill. Cook up steaks over the fire on the 20” cast iron. Go fishing at the lake 1 mile away. Take an Uber to Corning for bar hopping at the breweries. Cook smash burgers on the griddle. Hang out by the creek with coffee.
- gals long weekend. Lounge by the pool away from the hubby and kiddos and sip wine by the fire or pool (in a non-glass container, of course). Order a guy I have on my web page for a limo tour.
- hunting trips for a camp (do NOT hunt on my property. I originally posted this 5 months ago and don't want anyone shooting on my property). Sporting clays 15 mins away. Large striped bass in the nearby lake with Muskies. Do the nearby hunting excursions and bag a nice boar and store it in the chest freezer.
Parts of the property are steep. Due to this, the pool, and the nature of the animals in the area I would not recommend children under 7 or 8 and have turned away 4 families that wanted to bring smaller children. I have children and feel caution under 7 should be used. This is a large, large property and is in the wild of nature. If you have 3 kids and the youngest is 5, maybe. But I really advise against any child under 7 and have the right to refuse. Why? I want you to be safe.
Also - there is a path down to the creek and it is also a little steep. Those who are elderly, have bad knees, or cannot do easy/moderate level hiking are not advised to go down to the creek.
Given this is northern PA with wildlife around - there are possibilities of bear, deer, snakes, wild turkeys, and other local wildlife. While bear and snakes may not be common, guests are reminded that this is not the suburbs and should exercise caution. Walk with others, do not put headphones in and lose ability to hear surroundings, be careful with fire pits, and be aware of your surroundings.
