Cabin Located in a Birding and Fishing Paradise

It was great having you and happy that the retreat worked well for you and your dogs. I feel blessed to be able to share our property. The house being surrounded by the woods gives it the privacy that most people are looking for. Thank you for choosing our place while waiting for your new home to be ready.

Kindness is the most important thing to me. I love welcoming guests and having them enjoy their stay. Thanks for coming.

Thanks si much. You were an excellent guest and we hope you will stay with us again. Merry Christmas!

Thanks for choosing our property for your stay in our area. You were the perfect guests. Glad we had books and toys for the little ones. Hope you visited the playground designed beautifully for children to run and play. The bike trail close by is wonderful for young and old alike. We so appreciate the care you took of the property. Would love to have you visit again.

Thanks for your kind words. So glad everything went well. The back door just needs to be pulled hard to close and then push on it to make sure it is closed. I have attached a chain to the inside of the door to secure it better. Sorry none of the pans were non-stick. I will check that out and add one to those that are there. Thanks for coming and for your suggestions. I am always looking for ways to make things better and improve the stay for my guests.

We would love to have you stay with us again. and appreciate the note you left us. It is always a pleasure to have return visits. Thanks for coming and we look forward to having you again.

We thank you for coming back. Always special to share our Retreat. Last time I was down at the property, a beautiful deer just stood in the yard and watched me. Of course, before I got my camera ready, she bounded away. The property is wooded around the Retreat and the animals feel safe and don't mind us seeing them. A little spot of God's creation.

Thanks for coming and finding it in a good location. The area around the retreat is full of things to see and do. We hope you will come again.

We are so happy you feel right at home. You like family to us.! We always look forward to your visit. Sorry, I did not get to see you this trip. Have a very Merry Christmas!

It was a pleasure having you. When I found the stuffed animal I knew it was special to a child and wanted to return it as quickly as possible. I taught kindergarden and first grade for 43 years. Children are very special to me. At the Retreat, children will find books that I used when I taught. I feel it is a great opportunity for parents to be able to read special books while they are there. One special book is The Giving Tree which has a message for adults and children. So happy I was able to get the stuffed animal back in your child's hands. Thanks so much for coming.

Thank you so much for your kind words. We loved having you and hope you can come again. Happy to hear everything worked out good for you, your family and the dogs. The property is close to many places for folks to go fishing be it fresh water or salt water. Lots of folks go out to the flats. Scalloping is fun. So many places to enjoy while in our area. Our notebook gives information about all of these things. All the best to you and yours.

We loved having you , too. It is always a pleasure to have folks like you. Thank you for being perfect guests. You make doing short term rentals a joy!

Thanks so much for coming. We enjoyed having you and your dogs. As you said the Retreat is seculed and quiet. Dogs can explore the back yard and watch for the occasional deer, squirrels, and rabbits that come by from the surrounding woods. We hope you will be able to return. We appreciate the great care you took of our property!!

So happy that you enjoyed our place in the woods off the beaten path. Just a little history to share about this property. I had rented it long term for several years but when my last long guests left, I decided to totally redo the property. It was such a fun project as I took it down to the studs and basically started over. My family thought I was not making the best choice but it felt right to me so I continued to do everything to make it a nice place to share short term. Redoing everything and making it all new. Wakulla Springs Retreat was opened in December 2011. I still remember the first guests who stayed with us. Over the years, this property has welcomed so many people who were meeting here from all over the county. Grandma traveling to meet son and granddaughter, brother and sister coming to meet with their baby for the first time, couples who have spent every football game with us coming back when their children graduated from FSU and those who spent the winter with us for several years. So many happy memories. I feel so blessed to be able to share this poperty and help other make special memories. Just yesterday, I went back to the beginning and read the comments in our guestbook. Thank you for your kind review. It was our pleasure to have you and hope you will be able to return. We love our guests as many have become like family. I have a couple coming back to celebrate her husband's birthday in the next couple of weeks. Life is good!!!
