Welcome to this light, bright, spacious home, perfect for families and groups. Built in 1869 and updated with a light-filled sunroom with woodburning stove, large playroom stocked with toys, and a huge primary suite and bath. With over 3,800 square feet, it has 4 bedrooms, 4 full bathrooms, 2 with tubs. Plenty of space for groups to gather, and also for someone to find a quiet spot to retreat. 1 hour from NYC, close to downtown Stamford, and Greenwich CT shops and beaches.

The huge backyard provides a lovely view with a towering oak tree and a rolling lawn. At the far end of the yard is a pond and stone patio. In the spring and summer there are frogs in the pond, and the occasional turtle.

The playroom is large, sunny, and stocked with toys that kids are welcome to play with. Our outdoor swingset / playset accommodates small children - best for children 10 and under.

We have a binder in the house that is full of detailed info about the house, wireless access, garbage pickup, the area, shopping, activities, restaurants, recreation, etc. We are very easy to contact via text or phone with any questions at all you have during your stay -- no matter how small.

The neighborhood is bucolic and rural. There's a horse farm nearby, down a winding road. The forested Mianus River Park, with its lovely hiking trails that run alongside the river, is a 3-minute drive from the house, great for jogging, hiking, mountain-biking or walking the dogs (or kids!). The house has easy access to the Merritt parkway (Route 15) so getting into NYC or to nearby Greenwich, CT is easy. Shopping on trendy Greenwich Ave. (Saks, Tiffany, J. Crew, etc.) is 15-20 minutes away. Stamford train station is about 15-20 minutes from the house, and has many trains running into New York's Grand Central station, a 1-hour train ride away.

The house has central air conditioning and heat.
