Come enjoy the Maui sun and stay in my lovely, fully remodeled one-bedroom condominium at the South Kihei Maui Banyan Resort. Right near the beach, this upgraded unit offers tasteful decor with island-style furnishings.

Exceptionally well-maintained by long time Maui resident - you can be assured your accommodations will be clean and comfortable. Live the easy island life - this unit is super close to both the beach and one of the pool areas. It's just a short walk through the lovely tropical gardens to Kamaole Beach II, a gorgeous white sand beach great for boogie-boarding, surfing, snorkeling or swimming. Enjoy the spectacular Maui sunsets oceanfront across from this great resort.

Maui Banyan is conveniently located minutes from Wailea's world-class golf courses with two tennis courts, two pool areas with hot tubs and gas BBQs for you to enjoy. Maui Banyan is walking distance to shopping and fantastic restaurants. Maui is also known for its excellent windsurfing and various water sports.

The care and attention put into our condo for our family to be comfortable is apparent. We hope others will treat it as their own.

Just steps from beach, restaurants & shopping. Very well kept grounds, pool & gas grills. Condo was clean & stocked with all we needed for a Maui vacation.

Nice place

This was a great place to stay. Beach just a short walk across the street. Only minor issue was parking. This unit doesn’t have a reserved spot for guests, so you have to look for one of the few open spots.

Perfect location for all adventures and the beach, close to airport!

We found this VRBO to be a perfect location from the airport and all activities we booked- which was almost everything one could do in 7 days! It would be fine for anyone wanting to walk to most places or shuttle as well, as it is close to many stores and eateries as well as beautiful beaches. The manager was also very helpful when needed. No issues :)

Comfortable and Charming Hawaiian Getaway

This nicely decorated, first floor, one-bedroom quiet condo is conveniently located across the street from Kam II beach (good for snorkeling and sunsets) and steps to the pool/spa/bbq grills. Restaurants and shops are also within walking distance. The condo is stocked with beach accessories and the kitchen has all the necessities as well. The furniture is very comfortable - a nice home away from home. Planning our next stay soon. Mahalo!

Everything we needed!

This clean, comfortable and nicely decorated 1 BR condo was an excellent home base for our first vacation to Maui. There is plenty of space and many areas for storage which allowed the two of us to quickly get settled and organized. The bed, bed linens and pillows are all very comfortable and every night's rest was excellent. The two ceiling fans and one air conditioner worked well to keep us cool when we were in the condo. We loved having the beach umbrella, beach chairs, boogie boards and cooler available for our day trips! The kitchen has pretty much anything and everything you could think of for cooking all your meals. Although we personally didn't choose to cook any full meals there, we did keep snacks around and made ourselves some lunches to-go. We saw many families using the BBQ's and having supper near the pool. We enjoyed winding down before bed on the couch and watching some TV. The WiFi worked really well and was great for downloading each day's photos once we were back from our adventures. The beautiful Kamaole Beach 2 was literally across the road and is a very lovely beach. We also went to Makena Beach (Big Beach) for a day which is a short drive south of Kihei. We drove the Road to Hana all the way around and went up to the Haleakala Crater for sunrise (not on the same day, of course!) We also enjoyed both a dinner boat cruise and a whale watching tour on the Maui Princess (Hawaii Ocean Project) and a snorkeling excursion on the Calypso. This condo was the perfect place to base all of our adventures from. It is in a terrific location and provided a place for us to unwind and rest. A true home away from home!

Maui Banyan is my favourite

Unfortunately our stay was marred by the Lahaina tragedy. We have stayed on the Banyan property several times and this unit was wonderful, but it was difficult to be happy until our early departure from Maui a couple of days after the fires.

Beautiful location and amazing hosts.

Steps from the beach, directly across from the pool area and a short walk to shops and restaurants. This place is great. Hosts have it well equipped and leave a nice welcome basket. Hope to stay again one day.

Beautiful condo and perfect location

We loved every minute of our trip and were so happy with our stay here!! Check in was easy and we loved the welcome basket! The coffee beans and coffee grinder were a treat also. Fresh coffee in the mornings on the lanai with the birds and tropical setting is perfection. I really appreciated the extra touches…the cute placemats and chargers made dinners lovely! We cook a lot and enjoyed making meals there. The washer and dryer were SO nice to have! And the bed was amazing. So comfortable!! To be so close to the pool was wonderful and we met a lot of lovely people there. it was so nice to be just a short walk to the beach and so many great shops and restaurants. We loved loved loved our stay and hope to return next year!❤️

Everything you need

This property was the perfect location to the beach and shops. We didn’t have a car the first part of our stay , and we didn’t even notice. The outside patio was perfect for morning coffees and dinner and even though the pool was a stones through away , it was pretty quiet. The only thing I would change is having cotton sheets not flannel 😉 it’s mighty warm and the cotton would be refreshing. Thanks for everything , Megan and Michael from San Francisco

Great location and accommodations.

Just a perfect location for a visit to Maui, close to restaurants, shopping and beautiful beaches. Condo was clean and well appointed. My recommendation would be to upgrade the AC unit as was the rest of the condo. The temperature control could not be adjusted therefore the unit struggled to remove the humidity and quite noisy. Beautiful place!

This condo was wonderful!! We were here celebrating our 36th Anniversary and couldn't have picked a better place. This condo was very clean, lots of amenities with a comfortable king size bed. The outdoor pool/spa was steps outside our door, cleaned every day. Beautiful Kam II beach with great snorkeling just across the street. Walking distance from several great restaurants, happy hours and shops. Thank you so much for the goodies and your hospitality!! We had such a wonderful experience.

Great for convenience

G103 Maui Banyan was a good spot for us to call home base! Beautiful sunset on the beach right across the street! The condo has seen some years, but it was clean and easily accessible to many things! Thank you for the snacks and hospitality!

Beautiful property and amazing location!

My husband and I stayed here for our 10-year wedding anniversary. We had originally planned to go to Kauai (since that’s where we got married) but decided on Maui due to Kauai’s stricter COVID travel restrictions, and boy are we glad we did! The property itself was beautiful and very clean. The location was just perfect - just steps away from the pool, a few more steps to the pristine Kamaole II beach, and within walking distance from several great restaurants and shops. We’re already planning another trip next year!

Great location! Older property.

A fine location, nice remodeling of heavily used unit. Light fixture was dirty, stuff fell on to the table when I bumped it. Dingy curtains. Screen door off track and scraping. Beach gear well used, frayed. Listing showed and mentioned snorkeling gear, it was broken and the owner promptly said they don’t provide it!? Bed was comfy, good linens. Location is superb! Had a good time.

Aloha George, Our apologies about the items mentioned. We made sure to talk to our cleaning staff (and our next guests after you gave us a review saying "beautiful and very clean"). We do provide new beach gear regularly but don't always know when it's ready to be changed out so thanks for the heads up - wish we were aware when you were here - new beach chairs and an umbrella has been put in the condo. Sorry, we don't normally provide snorkeling gear for liability reasons but sometimes previous guests leave it in the unit and we don't check to see if it's in working order. Please use at your own discretion and if it is not working, kindly throw it out. Thank you for staying with us and hope to have you back someday!

This is clean, modern, condo that we loved. It's in a perfect location close to pool and beach on ground floor, which we really enjoyed. Despite being close to the action, it was very quiet. Would stay again!

Steps from the pool, across the street from the beach, and short walk to restaurants. My kids and I enjoyed our stay at Steve and Tamara's condo. We will definitely be back!

Convenient location, pleasant condo

We've stayed at Maui Banyan before. Great location. Wish more of the units had views of the ocean, but the grounds and pools are very nice. This unit is a convenient first floor apartment, nicely furnished. Not much light though, and no view. A little skimpy on some of the basics: an extra couple of bath towels and set of sheets would be nice. Excellent beach equipment. Somebody should tell the management that none of the BBQ grills work at this location...I called the front desk and they were polite, but nobody fixed the grills.

Thank you kindly for letting us know about the BBQ grills! We will be sure to follow up with management. This condo at least faces the south side of the complex with the lovely greenery and doesn't front the large concrete parking lot that many of the units on the other side do. We also get better light than the north-east facing condos because our unit faces south-west. Thanks for the suggestions on the towels and linens. Currently we provide 4 sets of bath, hand and wash towels plus a set of sheets for the sofa bed. Hope this helps explain. Tamara and Steve

I grew up in the Pacific Northwest as the son of an Olympic skier and ski raced until I was a young adult. I love snow skiing in deep powder and in Hawaii I became an accomplished windsurfer in the ocean. I later learned the sport of Windfoiling. I have two college age children that were both born and raised on Maui. I now travel the world and have a local property manager who helps me with my properties.

Maui Banyan is in an amazing location directly across from a beautiful white sand swimming beach called Kamaole Beach II. There are as many as 10 beaches that you can get to in less than 10 minutes from the condo or just walk across the street to the closest one. There are many restaurants and shopping areas within walking distance of the condo or just enjoy an incredible south Maui sunset of the island of Lanai looking out from the front of our resort.
