Family Vacation for the Holidays

Our family of 5 found this to a be a great spot to enjoy Christmas together. The cabin is in a quiet spot just outside of town. We had more than enough space to make a nice dinner, play cards, and watch football. It's not fancy, but it is cute, cozy, and convenient to town and skiing.

Cabin was cozy, clean, near restaurants and shopping. Ski resort was only 10 minutes drive. The only thing missing in the cabin was the humidifier, which is essential during the winter months. Luckily, we brought our own.

The place is pretty good, a bit smaller than expected and for the price the master bedroom bedding should have been better. But everything was comfortable. It was nice to be able to bring our dogs. The stairs are slippery in sock feet.Unfortunately, the oven didn’t work during our stay which was a big inconvenience. If it hadn’t been for the oven problem, it would have been a very nice stay.

I really enjoyed my visit. The neighborhood is very peaceful and close to hiking trails. I enjoyed the large deck. The only downside is the staircase. My small dog refused to go on them, and the open design made it slightly unnerving for me.

This was a great house to stay in, the house could use more pots/pans. The Grill didn’t work and was very dirty and there wasn’t any shampoo/soap/body wash etc

Another awesome stay

We really enjoyed this place. Only little issue was master bed collapsed first night but we put it back together. Owner might want to have it looked at. We will be back!! Two days of fresh powder at Mary Jane!

Great location

The cabin was in a great location to downtown and close to the bus stop to the resort. However the layout of the cabin is a bit awkward, it’s dated, and the stairs are very narrow making it somewhat hard to navigate. I doubt I would spend this much next time for this setup.

Cabin is lovely and in a great location. We enjoyed the deck every evening. Unfortunately bedding is old and worn and several of the towels were stained. Also said blow dryer included and there was no blow dryer on the property. We reached out and they said they'd get back to us and never did. A few easy updates would improve this property!

The property is starting to show its age/use. Wasn’t as clean as I expected from the many vacation rentals I’ve stayed in. Dusty blinds or ones that need replacing. When the listing says bring everything you need, they weren’t kidding. Every rental that I have stayed in has some things- spices cooking spray- basics

Great place for a family. Location is excellent.

We had a great experience at this property. We enjoyed the kitchen and setting the dinning table for a family meal. The kids built a snowman ☃️ outside the patio. We enjoyed walking to the town to have dinner. Easy access to the Lyft which is a free shuttle service. Overall, we had a beautiful experience and we look forward to returning. Ps. The pressure to the shower head downstairs is very low and needs to be replaced. The dryer needs a bit of work as well. Everything else was great!

Great Location but a few updates are in order

The location and getting into the cabin was very easy but we were very disappointed there was only one small TV in the loft area, and no TV in the family room - where we pretty much spent most of our time ! Bummer ! The fireplace was great, and I noted on other reviews - the lack of stuff in the kitchen - like only 4 coffee mugs ??? and not enough glasses unless you ran the dishwasher. Our main issue - were the bunk beds - they were very uncomfortable - the mattresses had to be years old.. The master bedroom mattress was great ! While we were there, the maintenance people came to shovel the snow of the roof which created a huge disturbance in the cabin - you couldn't relax for the noise !

Ann, thank you for your review! We have the following response from the homeowner: "Thank you. We will absolutely buy more mugs and glasses, I didn’t know that was an issue. I am also unhappy that maintenance shoveled the roof while guests were there, I did not approve this. We like to think of our cabin as a quiet oasis away from the city, so it is not our top priority to have multiple TVs. As for the bunk bed mattresses, we will take this into consideration. Thanks!" Not great, but convenient location

"Even the most discerning chefs will enjoy preparing culinary masterpieces in the cabin's bright fully equipped kitchen" is an overstatement - the kitchen is small & not well lit. There was old food crusted on one of the pans in the cupboard. The glass on the table was broken, which the property managers knew about but didn't inform us of. The wifi didn't work for the majority of our stay. The toilet leaked on the first floor, and the toilet paper holder came off the wall after first use. You could tell it had pulled out of the wall before and wasn't properly reattached. The property managers were responsive, and overall the condo served our needs for the week. The location is convenient to most places in Winter Park. Overall, I would say it was overpriced during the holidays and I would not stay here again.

Great Location but Lacked Usual Attention to Detail from A Rental Home

This place had a great location - just a few minute drive from the ski resorts and all the restaurants/activities on main street. It is also located next to a very pretty mountain stream. The couches were very comfortable, the wifi was fast, and there is a nice seating area on the top floor for movies/lounging. The pictures did make the house seem bigger than it was however, and it was a little cramped. The water/ice machine on the fridge was broken the whole time, so water came from the faucet. A couple of the lights were finicky and took some fiddling with to get work. Additionally, the quality of the knives was awful, they were very cheap, and as we were there for Thanksgiving making food, so it did cause problems. There was also no regular sized stockpots to make pasta, and there was no coffee machine. There were also very low quality shampoo and conditioners, and we had to go out and buy a different set. All in all, it did the trick, but the management team could really up the level of this place by providing higher quality cutlery, pots/pans, shampoo/conditioner, etc.

After sending your feedback to the owner, they’d like to share the following: - We used a local, professional photographer to make sure that the listing photos correctly reflect the property. We also include the square footage on the listing so guests can make informed decisions about whether the size meets their needs. - Thank you for letting us know about the issue with the water and ice dispenser on the fridge. We've scheduled repairs to address the problem. - We've inspected all the lights in the cabin, and they are all in good working condition. - We're in the process of replacing the knives with a set that better aligns with guest expectations. - We've checked our kitchen supplies and found a variety of pots and pans in different sizes, including a large stock pot ideal for making pasta. These are stored in the lazy Susan in the kitchen. Additionally, we found the coffee maker which is always located on the counter for our guest's convenience. - Kindly note that the toiletries we supply are complimentary basics chosen to align with the preferences of the majority of our guests. While we strive to cater to diverse preferences, individual tastes often vary. Wonderful place in Winter Park

Two of us and our dogs stayed at this home and thoroughly enjoyed it. My favorite features were: Location- great neighborhood, close to hiking trails, restaurants and skiing. Deck -it was nice to be able to relax on the deck by the creek. The home was clean and very cozy. I plan to stay there again! .

Great Location and dog friendly!

We just returned from a week at Winter Park with our pups and had a great time. We spend a good bit of time in WP and love that we bring our pups when we stay for longer periods. Can't beat the location with a quick walk to downtown and Big Trout brewery or any of the other local spots.

Great Location Surrounded by Evergreens

We had a wonderful stay at this location! Just up from Main Street on a quiet road. The cabin is surrounded by evergreens that you can see through the many windows in the unit. There’s a creek running behind the cabin which is so relaxing to listen to. We so appreciate that you allow dogs. Our little guy did very well, and enjoyed his walks. One suggestion would be to see if you could get bunks with a twin on top and a full on the bottom. It would probably be tight but the adults would appreciate the extra room. We would definitely come up here again! Thanks for providing us a nice place to stay!
