THE HOUSE - RICE LAKE RETREAT

This home is located on a quiet bay of Rice Lake, which feeds into the Mississippi River, great for fishing, swimming off the boat, and river cruising.

Bedroom #1 on the main level features a queen bed and 44" smart TV. Bedroom #2, also on main level, includes a queen bed, 50" smart TV, and incredible lake views. The full bathroom on the main floor includes a tub/shower combo.

Enjoy making meals in the full kitchen, which includes dishes and cookware, a dishwasher, refrigerator and beverage fridge, oven and range, eat-in breakfast table, and massive island for dining, food prep, and games.

The living room includes a large sectional sofa and 55" smart TV, with direct access to the back deck where you can enjoy outdoor dining and seating areas. The sun room is the star of the main floor, boasting stunning lake views, a work station with extra monitor, and gas fireplace - a room begging for coffee in the morning and a good book in the evening!

The walk-out basement includes Bedroom #3, which has a king bed, 50" smart TV, and extensive closet space, along with lake views. Nearby Bedroom #4 has a twin over full bunkbed, along with a 44" smart TV. The full basement bathroom boasts a double vanity and full tub/shower combo.

The basement family room includes a 65" smart TV, gas fireplace, and section recliner sofa with 3 push button reclining sections. Adjacent to the game room, with a large high top table for food, games, puzzles, this area is perfect for entertaining as well as relaxing.

You will also have access to the full laundry room in the basement, including a utility sink.

Going outside from the basement will put you right next to the hot tub and on to the patio, leading to the beautifully landscaped stairs to the fire pit and dock. For the kids, the side yard includes a lofted playhouse, along with a swing set in the front yard.

THE LAKE

Rice Lake is 434 acres, feeding directly into the Mississippi River. While this house does not have a swimming beach, the lake gets up to 25 feet deep, and is great for pontoon cruising and swimming. There is also a public swimming beach and boat launch at nearby Lum Park.

Any anglers looking for a place to drop a line will find a bounty of walleye, northern pike, muskie, and smallmouth bass, among others, and the river access makes trolling a breeze. We are happy to make boat rental recommendations, including a company that has offered special rates to Rice Lake Retreat renters.

THE AREA

Located just east of downtown Brainerd, Rice Lake Retreat is centrally located to offer easy access to the full Brainerd Lakes Area. To our east, Crosby is 10 minutes away and offers a bevy of new restaurants, boutique shopping, and over 50 miles of world-class biking and hiking trails in the Cuyuna County State Recreation Area.

To our west, Brainerd and Baxter give easy access to multiple grocery stores, Target, Wal-Mart, Costco, and a myriad of chain and local restaurants, as well as the 120-mile Paul Bunyan bike trail. To the north, Nisswa and Pequot Lakes are a 20-minute drive away and offer hundreds of holes of best in class golf (Madden's, Cragun's, Grandview, and more), along with small town charm and seasonal festivals.

In the immediate area, Dunmire's Bar & Grill is a 10 minute walk, and it's a 5 minute drive to Cub Foods and Starbucks.

THE RULES

Rice Lake Retreat does NOT allow:
- pets
- large gatherings or events
- bachelor or bachelorette parties
- smoking of any kind, including vaping, indoor and outdoors
-Quiet hours are from 10pm-7am Sunday-Thursday, 11pm-7am Friday and Saturday

We require a 3-night minimum stay from Memorial Day to Labor Day, and a 2-night minimum the rest of the year. Extended stay rates (1 month or more) are available upon request for off-season stays.
