This property was just “ok” for a family getaway with kiddos. There were some logistics of the layout that made it challenging that I simply didn’t think about ahead of time. The listing boasts a lot of amenities, sauna, game room, “speak easy” themed bar, whirlpool tub, fire pit with Adirondack chairs, but were outdated and some not functional. Gaming console had broken power cords, many of the Adirondack chairs were cracked, couch had rips. There was a mysterious pile of sawdust on the poker table in the garage/bar. We vacuumed it up and it kept coming back, something causing it to fall from the ceiling. So we didn’t spend too much time in there. The kids room was on the ground floor right by the main entrance/porch, so we had to be really quiet after they went to bed. The kitchen and other two bedrooms were up 1.5 flights of stairs, so loading/unloading was really difficult. The grill was new, and we brought our own camping chairs so the fire pit was great too, lots of firewood, but yard is small. Doesn’t have lake access and there is no public access, it’s right off of a busy highway too, so the traffic noise was not the best. There were a variety of small issues that took away from the experience and I just expected higher quality based on the price . We made the most of it, but would not recommend for families, maybe like a bachelor party.
