"Hidden Oaks" Log Cabin at Patoka Lake-French Lick - Southern Indiana Escape!

Welcome to "Hidden Oaks", our dream log cabin we are excited to share with you. Owner operated and managed. Let our cabin be your hub for all that southern Indiana has to offer. Hidden Oaks is fully furnished and stocked with everything you will need for your dream southern Indiana escape. Our cabin is nestled in Grant Woods, a mature wooded log home community. "Hidden Oaks" is on the far outer reaches of this small community and has over 150 undeveloped acres that border our back door. Can you say peaceful!!!

Whether it is a trip to the beach at Patoka Lake State Park (2.5 miles to the main entrance from the cabin), a spelunking adventure to any one of southern Indiana's magnificent caves (30ish minutes), a trip to Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana (35 minutes away), a trip to Paoli Peaks to ski in the winter (30 minutes away), or a trip to French Lick or West Baden where you can experience world class casinos, golfing, indoor water park, go carting, a train ride through Hoosier National Forest and so much more. Or perhaps you would like to unwind at Patoka Lake Winery (2.2 miles from the cabin's front door). We might add that Patoka Lake Winery has the largest wine slushy bar around! We highly recommend! You might also enjoy dinner at Benny's or any one of the local brews at Patoka Lake Brewing (2.2 miles from front door). The opportunities are endless.

Our cabin features 2 decks. Our front deck has just the right furniture to help you unwind and enjoy this beautiful area or start your morning with coffee listening to the birds. Our back deck is furnished so you might enjoy your breakfast or dinner at our picnic table. The back deck is fully screened in to keep all of the flying pests away. Or perhaps you would like to unwind next to your very own bonfire. We have a bonfire area that is furnished with 6 Adirondack chairs. We ask that you bring your own firewood. Please note, one of our neighbors sells firewood for a VERY reasonable price at the entrance to our log home community.

Our cabin features hand made log furniture that is out of this world. From your dining experience to your bedroom furniture, you will experience only the best in our home. Our down stairs bedroom features a king sized bed. Our upstairs bedroom has a queen. We have 2 full baths. Our spacious loft holds a queen log futon, a twin long trundle day bed and a twin log chair that makes into a bed for your extra family members. We can sleep 8!

Our kitchen is well stocked with cookware for any meal. We have a large spice section to share and our refrigerator has basic condiments as well. We offer a full size (brand new) washer and dryer.
