The BluRay in the living room even offers Netflix! Winter guests will love the easy access.. Spring, summer and fall enjoy sunset views, the fishing pond, horseshoe pits and super-sized deck. With an open floor plan and a well-stocked kitchen meal prep will be super easy and extremely social. This beautifully decorated and comfortable home offers a perfect location for your next mountain vacation.

Terrific base house!

Great house near the base of Timberline Mountain. Quiet, very clean and cozy environment. Been going to this area for several years to ski and this was one of the best spots we have stayed.

Great location, beautiful sunset views from deck. Enjoyed hot tub every evening. House very comfortable for our group of six. Love the Canaan Valley scenery.

Wonderful stay at CR Mountain home!

We can't say enough about this lovely home. Very clean, spacious, comfortable beds, great showers, cozy decor, good location for hiking the nearby trails. We LOVED the family room with it's gas fireplace, comfy rockers, and great views. Also enjoyed the hot tub (appreciated the beach towels provided) and fire pit (bring your own wood). The Mountain Owl Market down the road is a great stop for grabbing lunch/coffee. Can't go wrong renting this home. Our family looks forward to returning.

Centrally located, it offers ready access to Davis, Thomas, the Canaan Resort, Elkins, Seneca Rocks and Blackwater Falls. The home is wonderfully decorated with comfortable beds and couches, wi-fi and Dish TV. Views from the wrap around porch are spectacular.

With the Valley's expansion, there are so many different things to do, places to eat and places to explore. Lots of activities, along with relaxation for all members of the family from 80 years old to three years old!! An added plus is the house is always immaculate. Already looking forward to coming down next year.

Only suggestion I have is that there needs to be a guide on how to use the AC unit. We could not figure it out, but fortunately it did not get too hot, so we were ok. Last year when we stayed at Paradise Falls, we had the same experience. Instructions would be helpful. Thank you!

Cozy and clean

Very clean and cozy rental….we had issues with the hot tub not working but got it fixed on the second day of our stay. Only issue I wasn’t happy with was that the refrigerator filter was expired and upon contacting The Best of Canaan (managers of the rental) the lady at the desk wasn’t receptive at all and acted bothered that I called her to ask about a replacement filter. If they are going to managing the rental for the house owners they need to have these things in stock…needless to say, we had to go buy bottled water for the entire week bc they never replaced the filter.

Safe Get-Away!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a beautiful home! It is tastefully decorated, extremely clean and positioned perfectly for beautiful sunsets. The house is equipped with everything you need to cook, bake and relax. This house was perfectly cleaned and as safe as can be!! There's a new grill and a hot tub if you want to relax. For us, renting a lovely place is a safe way to get away! We took our own pre-cooked meals; hiked and walked at Dolly Sods, Seneca Rocks and Blackwater Falls; and shopped at the Buxton and Landstreet Gallery in Thomas and at Artists at Work in Elkins. The house is perfectly located between all of the Canaan Valley sites! The folks at Best of Canaan are SO easy to work with - I've rented from them for years.

Perfect Location for Exploring the Canaan Valley and Dolly Sods

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It's hard to recommend a place you want to continue to go to every year...will someone else get there first? Well, I highly recommend CR Mountain Home as the perfect location to explore and hike the Canaan Valley region. A superior golf course is 10 minutes away, you're 20 minutes from Davis and 25 from Blackwater Falls and Thomas. This property is perfect - two baths and 3 full bedrooms. The master suite has a new mattress, the fireplace, grill and hot tub are ready to enjoy. A new outdoor bench with gas-powered fire pit faces the sunset. The property is in superior condition, well-maintained and within 20 minutes of Cafe Milo and Sirianni's in Davis...also the local coffee shop is really great. This is a great place to stay! Highly recommend using Best of Canaan as your rental agency - they are warm, helpful and will do everything to accommodate extensions and emergencies. Best of all, their prices are WAY below the on-line services most use!
