Lake getaway

We had a relaxing long weekend with friends. The house is great for a big group and it has a good location for taking day trips around the area.

What a view!

Our family loved this VRBO for the views, free roaming deer, hummingbirds always at the feeders and the game room. We had shuffleboard and foosball tournaments!

Great house for family!

Family Vacation

This house was perfect to host our family of 15! Plenty of room for us to gather and eat together. The views from the back porch are beautiful. The lake was very low so it was a 30 min drive to the only boat ramp open. Overall such a great stay.

Wonderful Thanksgiving Weekend for Large family

The Lakeview Living House was perfect for a large extended family (13 people) to spread out & celebrate. The expansive kitchen & living area/game room were great to serve meals and play games. There were enough living quarters and bathrooms for each couple or family unit to have their own individual space. The outdoor space was big and beautiful for outdoor fun and pictures. The property management was immediate in responding if we had any concerns or questions. Superb weekend!

Best of Both Worlds

Customer Service can usually trump poor product, surprises, or an over-promised VRBO. However, this property had the best of both. Outstanding Customer Service and a wonderful property with no problems and no surprises. Loves the house and property. Great location. The perfect host.

A Great Weekend At The Lake!

This house is great! The property is lovely. Plenty to do inside and outside. Our group of 13 adults really enjoyed our stay at the lake. We weren’t ready to leave! Karen was very easy to reach and met us at the house to be sure we knew where everything was. We just left this morning and everyone has already said we would love to rent again in the future. Thanks again, Karen!

Yearly memorial

We visit every year at this time to go release balloons by the lake. Never have had any issues, this house is in a quiet neighborhood. The neighbors complain about kids feeding the deer, any noise even before 10pm. The management company is very rude. If you plan to use their grill and be outside, make sure there is no noise. Other than that the house was great.

Casey, it is very unfortunate you have chosen to write such a dishonest review. During your stay we received complaints from 6 different neighbors. It started on the first with a raging party with blasting music until 3-4am. Then your trash was left outside from the party to blow all over the property and into neighboring properties. At that point one our staff members contacted you regarding these 2 issues and you stated it would not happen again and the trash would be taken care of. However the complaints from neighbors continued because you and your group were trespassing onto multiple neighboring properties and getting into arguments with these neighbors who asked you to stop trespassing (we have been provided with video footage). At that time we called you again and firmly explained that if we received another complaint about inappropriate and illegal behavior going on at the property we would have no choice but to move forward with the eviction. You signed a rental agreement that stated the quiet hours of this home and you displayed no respect for the others that live in this neighborhood. We have hosted many groups in the past and this is the first time we have ever been contacted by the neighbors. - New Braunfels Escapes

Family boating trip

We had a Blast Staying here. House was perfect for our Large group of 12 and 1 child. Everyone had their own space so we where not on top of each other. House was well stocked and plenty of fun games throughout. One of the best! Boat ramp was not far. Definitely would rent again! Highly recommended. Thanks for sharing your wonderful Canyon Lake house. Oh and the views of lake was one of my Favorite!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family was very comfortable while staying in this wonderful Canyon Lake location. Large, roomy and very well stocked. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out, yet cozy for gathering on deck spaces, around the kitchen island and den area. The one improvement I would suggest is that the outdoor area and seating was covered in pollen and leaf litter and were not useable. If there was a leaf blower on the property we could have blown it off ourselves. Overall it was quite enjoyable.

I would totally recommend this property if you have a big crowd with you like we did, just be curiosity of the neighbors and watch out for deer and foxes because they are everywhere. Of course that is one the reasons why we like Canyon Lake....the view of the lake and all the wildlife that is there.

Super Weekend

This property was outstanding. There were plenty of beds for all, kitchen fully stocked with every cooking utensil you could possibly need. The host made check in so pleasant and arrived at 4 to orientate us with everything in the house (very helpful). There was plenty of parking for everyone, even for a boat and Ranger. In the past we have found the parking at some places was a problem because they only allow 3 or 4 vehicles, this was definitely not the case here. Everyone enjoyed the abundance of deer and going out in the front yard to feed every morning. We even had a peacock one morning. I must also point out the house had 3 air conditioning units so keeping the house cool wasn’t a problem at all. Lastly, the view was spectacular!

Great family getaway house

Our party was 4 married couples, and 2 dogs. The house exceeded expectations and I would not hesitate to rent it again. Plenty of space and things to do if too hot or rainy for outside activity or if you just want to chill inside and play games. If anything the decsriptions are modest. One bedroom is a mini suite on first level with en suite bath. Great for a family or group of kids to isolate as needed. The master is absolutely fantastic, a half story above game room. Two bedrooms are on main floor, one with en suite the other next to full bath. The 5th is kind of funky with separate entrance on main floor via garage or first deck. It's the one with murphy bed and mini kitchen. Has a half bath. Having a shower in this bedroom is the only improvement I can think of but it's not a negative. Plenty of space for multi activities and just spreading out when needed. Deer roam neighborhood to enhance strolls. The house was very clean and instructions clear. Be sure to read carefully because things like salt and pepper and other perishables are not provided. That's ok because pre trip guidance is clear. Property managers were easy to work with and considerate. Hard to understand what a legitimate negative comment would be from anyone. Have I mentioned this is a great getaway house?!?

Lovely home, homeowners were super nice! Gave us a tour of the house when we arrived, showed us where everything was, let us know where the nearest boat ramps were, etc. overall recommend! Ps. Amazing view of the lake!

Great stay!

Great house! It accompanied our big family, everyone had their own bathroom & bedroom which was nice. Very clean and easy check-in

Perfect lake getaway!

The size of house perfectly accommodated the large group that we had! Plenty of sleeping space for 14 adults and a lot of room for just hanging out, never once felt crowded. Karen was exceptionally sweet and accommodating, very responsive and overall had the house fully stocked with everything we could have possibly needed. Everyone LOVED the pink Cadillac room by far! All of the guests noted that their beds were very comfy, which is sometimes hard to find. The deer were uncomfortably comfortable with people, but we enjoyed feeding them. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay! 10 out of 10 highly recommend.

Hi, Danica, and thank you for the great review! I had to laugh at your comment that everyone LOVED the pink Cadillac bedroom. I know I love it, but I wondered if the guys could handle that much of my favorite color. Of course, if Elvis Presley could handle a pink Cadillac.... And I am so glad everyone found the beds comfy and that everyone had plenty of room to spread out in. We do have some very friendly deer in the neighborhood. They will miss you. :-)

Awesome Lake view from porches and living room.

This property was perfect for our large family. The kitchen was well equipped. Karen was easy to work with and communicate with. Plenty of room to spread out or gather for meals and games. Loved our view of Canyon Lake and the beautiful sunrises.

Thank you, Nancy! I’m so glad you and your family were able to get together for Thanksgiving at Canyon Lake and that you chose our house to do so. I’m also glad you found the kitchen well equipped, though I do have to admit that I had forgotten to add a hand mixer. Hadn’t thought of that till you asked, and then as I was whipping up my own mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving! That will be our next addition for sure. I love the view of Canyon Lake too, but I haven’t actually seen the sunrise. Will have to do that soon on your recommendation. 😄

Perfect house for my husband’s 70th birthday and retirement party.

This house exceeded our expectations. The views and decks were amazing. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we could possibly need. The beds were very comfortable and the linens and towels were top quality. The multiple bathrooms provided privacy for all guests. Plenty of games and televisions for all to enjoy. Big bonus for us was we were able to bring our fur babies. The yard was fenced so they could go outside to play and be safe. Karen was a pleasure to work with and very responsive to any questions we had. Best property we ever rented.
