Start your Columbia Gorge escape from the convenient luxury of Casa Maria. Located on the doorstep of the Gifford Pinchot, with easy access to wilderness and friendly small towns, this family-restored home-away-from-home is completely refurbished and so cozy you’ll want to extend your stay.

** Please note that Casa Maria is located on the side of Wind River rd, and you will hear local traffic and logging trucks driving by.

The space
Step off the highway and into your roadside mini oasis, complete with a small sun porch and the gentle burble of Carson Creek. With two bedrooms (each with its own mini-split), full bathroom, comfortable living space, garden, and fully-equipped kitchen. There couldn’t be a better home base to explore all the Gorge has to offer.

Both bedrooms are the perfect place to hide away with a good book or sneak in a mid-day nap following your morning hike. Nestle in and sleep easy on bedroom one’s queen-sized Tempur-Pedic mattress. There’s even a bonus trundle for the little ones (or a single friend). Bedroom two’s queen-sized Nectar Premier Copper mattress is just as comfy. The hum of Wind River Highway fades into the background and a cool breeze compliments the soothing sounds of Carson Creek.

Muddy or sore? Steam up the tiled, glass-door shower and rinse off with the provided shampoo, body wash, and conditioner. Radiant heat prevents cold feet. Towels, toilet paper, hair dryer, ironing board, and iron provided.

After pretending to cook dinner (Backwoods Brewery is just around the corner) in the fully-equipped kitchen, enter your login and settle in for movie night on the 65” flatscreen TV and speaker system. Streaming your favorite shows or working remotely is easy with ultra-fast internet (around 1000 mps) and cozy couches.

Not into TV? Grab a cold beverage and head to the back deck, with seating that faces the garden.

Leave time for coffee or a smoothie (we provide the blender) before heading out to take advantage of the area’s many activities! The fully-equipped kitchen has everything you need to make breakfast, lunch, and dinner, from pots and pans to kid-friendly cutlery and dishes.

Guest access
Private street parking right in front of the house on the main road. We also have a parking area down in the lower part of the lot. Let yourself in with keyless entry.

Other things to note
Carson is a small logging town in the heart of the Pacific Northwest, with a rural/suburban charm. Wind River Highway is a popular and often busy stretch of road, and Casa Maria is within walking distance of local establishments, including Bungalow Bar and Grill.

Casa Maria is the upper unit of a duplex. It has a private back deck but does share the outdoor amenities and laundry with the lower unit, Casa Bruna. Please inquiry if you are interested in renting both places together.

Furry friends are welcome at Casa Maria! Please note, pets are not allowed on beds or couches. $45 additional pet fee.
