Beautiful Lakeside Cottage on Quiet Street with Private Dock, Kayaks & Fire Pit

Lakeside Cottage is most definitely your “home away from home”! This quaint property is a 3BR 2 bath cottage directly on Deep Creek Lake with stunning water views from almost every angle of the home. This cottage is perfect for small families and couples. Situated 50 feet back from the lake with 150 feet of shore line, you can enjoy coffee, drinks or meals on the lake front deck in this private peaceful setting. Beautiful tall trees provide nice shade from the sun, but they won’t spoil your view! Conveniently located less than 10 minutes from Swallow Falls State Park and not quite 15 minutes to Wisp Resort as well as many restaurants, shopping, and the movie theater. There is so much to enjoy close by during every season here in Deep Creek Lake. Summer fun will surely be had by all as you spend lazy days boating, swimming, fishing and lounging on the private dock* with deep water access. In the evening, gather the family and the marshmallows and spend time around the fire pit recapping your daily adventures. In the winter after downhill skiing, cross country skiing, or ice fishing, unwind inside by the stone fireplace. The home is located near the end of a no outlet street, which makes it very peaceful and pleasant for walking and bike riding up and down the street without traffic.

This lakefront property has been in the VRBO family since December 2021 and it has received 90 total reviews prior to our buying it, every one of them 10/10 reviews. Here’s what is familiar: The same wonderful cottage that was updated in the past several years with an additional full bath, 3 bedrooms, a modern kitchen and an open floor plan. Looking out the sliding glass doors, it will look and feel like the water is just beyond the deck. And with your neighbor’s homes set back much further than yours, they are out of your sight line giving you a you a fairly private lakeside experience.
What is new since we bought the cottage in April 2024? A new dock, accessibility to 3 kayaks and a paddle board, new beds and bedding, a workspace in the bunk room, all new small kitchen appliances and cooking and dining ware, and stocked with spices and oils.
