Lake Superior frontage, 1 bedroom beach house with full, indoor bathroom. Sleeps 3-4 people comfortably. Hundreds of miles of private beach with agates and yooper lights galore! 43 miles from Tahquamenon Falls, 18 miles from Grand Marais. Catch the North Country Trail, the longest in the National Trails System stretching from North Dakota to Vermont right from our beach! Or drop your kayak into the famous Two Hearted River for some fantastic fishing. Small boat rentals are available in Deer Park and larger charter boat trips in Munising for fishing or scuba diving.

The property was beautiful and the beach one of the best we've been to. The house was okay, but the dishes in the cupboard were dirty. There were coffee dregs in the bottom of the cups. It looked like the previous occupants took it seriously that "all the dishes should be put away," but forgot to wash them. My husband forgot to check the house one last time and left a laundry basket with items we meant to take home, including food we planned to use at home a stainless Allclad pot and an irreplaceable knife that was a gift from my familly. We live 650 miles away. We apologized for the trouble and asked if she would mind shipping a couple of items. We told her that we would send her fifty dollars for her trouble plus shipping. Elyse agreed, but spent the next month and a half telling us how lucky we were that she didn't throw them away, that we were harassing her, that she didn't want our old stained pots and pans (never thought she was even thinking that way). Finally after a few more insulting messages and my message to her that she could forget it, Elyse sent a note that gave what it had cost her to mail the package with a few more insults thrown in. This host was unkind and rageful about a request that she could have turned down. We have traveled a lot and stayed at VRBO rentals frequently. The hosts have invariably been kind and helpful. Elyse was totally in contrast to every other VRBO host. Frankly we were shocked by her level of animosity!

The property was ideally situated right on the beach. We walked down steps and loved having a campfire on the beach most nights, with firewood provided. Lake Superior was gorgeous with clear water. We'd come back every summer if it were a little closer for us. It was a highlight of our summer.

Wonderful stay! This was the perfect getaway for us. Loved the location and the cabin was charming. Loved every second spent on the beach. Wish we could stay longer! The cabin was just as described. So clean and inviting, it was the perfect home away from home for our stay. The host was lovely and so friendly and welcoming. Thank you for the great stay!

Great Apt. In An Ideal Location For The Eastern U.P.

I stayed a week with my dog. I liked that the place promoted dogs and their having a fun time. The apartment had the things we needed. I brought the food for the week so there was no real reason to go grocery store, or leave at all if I did not want to. The place seems remote, and it is, but in a good way. We had access to the Eastern U.P. while here. We were able to day trip around the region all over. Lots of things to do and see for everyone. But some of the best days were best spent walking the rock beach, while thinking of what dinner will be. There were lots of rocks and agates and yooperlites, etc. You might see the Northern Lights, a dramatic lake storm, or a sunset. There is a great fire pit at the beach all set up. Overall, it was a lovely time.

Beautiful location on the beach

We had a great stay at this property. The photos donā€™t do it justice, itā€™s actually much nicer than the photos make it seem! It was very clean, we had everything that we needed for a pleasant stay. The view is extraordinary, the home was very comfortable, and we would definitely stay here again.

Excellent Lake Superior Vacation Rental

We loved this place. It was cozy and warm (temps were in 50ā€™s). Interior was very clean and decorated to match the location. Had everything you could imagine to make your stay a happy one.

Cute little cottage, fun weekend

We stayed for two nights with our two kids (8&10). The house setup is odd, but is exactly like in pictures and the listing. Had fun adventuring around the area and doing some rock hunting on the beach! Everything was clean. Great communication.

Northern lights, agate beach, yooperlites

We had a fantastic time! Being right on the shore, we saw the northern lights the first night there. Walked the beach several times and found some beautiful agates. Last night we were there, we looked for yooperlites and found 3!! Highly recommend!!

The private beach is amazing!

We spent a few days here and it was amazing! We went down to the private beach and lit a fire. We found a ton of yooper lights! So much peace, fun and relaxation! I wish we hadn't booked activities and could have just stayed and enjoyed this place more.

Everything we needed. Layout was a little weird, but workable. Access to beach at property was extremely hazardous. Anyone not mobile and physically fit would not be able to use property stairs. There was good access at end of road, which guests should be made aware of.

Location Location Location!

It was so nice to see Lake Superior right out the windows and walk to the beach. This cabin had all we needed to relax and unwind. Itā€™s very clean and cozy. Communication with owner is excellent. We will definitely be back!

Lovely Location on Lake Superior!

The location is amazing. The stairs to the beach are a bit tricky as they have about 15 wooden steps that terminate in a six step aluminum ladder-type structure that then drops a bit to some large stones. We managed fine but it could be difficult for some. The private beach is absolutely perfect! The home itself was fine. The layout is a bit awkward if you're not traveling with close relatives as the bathroom is between the bedroom and the kitchen/sitting area. Home had basic necessities and was pretty clean. Toilet began leaking at the back and at the flange on day one. I contacted the owner and she said that the only plumber in their part of the UP was away and could not get there. She mentioned that she would try to get her son to come check it out or possibly her daughter would come try to tighten it up. I was able to tighten one of the flange bolts by hand but didn't have any tools. It was still leaking pretty badly. Owner suggested putting towels around the base and we used paper towels instead. They quickly became saturated so we asked if her daughter, who was coming to clean next door, could bring another roll. The daughter did drop off a roll of towels on the outside table but no one came in to fix the toilet for the entire stay. We managed, but I would have expected some type of compensation or refund for having to deal with waste water coming from the toilet and saturating an entire roll of paper towels for the duration of our stay.

We had a wonderful time. The only thing I would suggest is a regular coffee pot. Had everything for it and they only had a kuerig. We just went to the ugly fish bakery for coffee every morning.

Thank you for selecting our property. We have 3 side by side homes on a private road with only 5 other houses. 6 total acres of beach and woods. We love hiking, swimming, boating, diving and shooting with our 6 children and granddaughter, if you do too this is the place for you! The 3 properties in a row are fantastic for hosting friends and family. Everyone can spread out and do their own thing.
