The amazing thing about this location is that you’re on a dead end road that backs up to the East Pass, which is the channel where all the boats come in and out of the harbor. As the tide rushes out of the Choctawhatchee Bay, all the dolphins feed on the sea life, so there’s tons of dolphins that live right in and around East Pass. The water along the beach of East Pass is very serene and placid so you could do some paddle boarding right there. That’s about two minute walk through the sand from the back door of the house. From the East Pass you can walk toward the Gulf of Mexico and the jetties. That’s a really cool place to go snorkeling or you can fish from the jetties. The jetties are the very last edge of Destin Beach. From
the jetties you can enjoy the beach along the Gulf of Mexico. You can walk to Norriego point to the north and go watch the fireworks as well, so this is a really cool location or you can pretty much get to everything very easily. Also, CRAB ISLAND is just across the Destin bridge from the east Pass. Make sure to check out all the aerial photographs.
