Fantastic location and hub for Mt Rushmore, Needles Highway, Custer State Park, Devils Tower, Badlands National Park and Wind Cave National Park. So many wonderful places to visit!!! Amazing local coffee shops -- SHOP LOCAL - you won't be disappointed. Best bakery is Sour - a local sour dough bakery. Amazing people and love for their local shops! The property was good. Only "slight" disappointment was there was no garage door opener for the property. House was clean (a few dead bugs on the floor and window seals) very basic kitchen items -- not luxury-- but basic kitchen necessities are in place as expected. Laundry facilities were perfectly placed on the sleeping level.

The house was exactly as described and Jeff was a wonderful host with excellent communication through out the process. We especially enjoyed the amenities of a new property. Everything was in perfect condition. The location is centrally located to the major Black Hills attraction. Although the house is located just off the highway for easy access, highway noise was not an issue even when sitting on the front porch enjoying the rocking chairs. Overall, a wonderful stay and great host. We would love to come back again.

Everything was great for our vacation at Rockerville lodging. First off, communication was consistent and detailed. We had no issues that we had to contact them for, but they were on top of sending us info. The detailed guidebook to the rental was amazing! Everything was truly thought of- down to the nightlights! I always bring my own on trips and was pleasantly surprised to see them there. Although we didn't use but a few cups, cabinets were fully stocked with dishes-including plastic dishes for toddlers and young kids. There were spices, coffee, and even a few snacks waiting for us upon arrival. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate with sitting outside much so we did not get to utilize the back patio or grill. Location was quiet, easy to get to, and pretty centrally located to everything we had wanted to do there. Having a restaurant across the street was very convenient as well. Definitely recommend!(Photos are view from the front porch and back patio. Beautiful area!)

Best Rental Experience

If I could give more stars, I would. My family and I stayed here while on a nursing contract in Rapid City. First, the location is so beautiful and perfectly situated in the center of everything with a gorgeous landscape of the Black Hills. Secondly, the property itself was exceptionally clean and well cared for - with the highest quality appliances and other housewares. It had everything needed for our family of four to feel at home - even a BBQ grill! It is evident the pride the owners have taken in caring for these rentals. We loved every minute of our stay and the owners themselves were the epitome of hosts - always so quick to respond and kind. It felt like they truly cared about the quality of our stay for me and my family. I heard a few horror stories from travel nurses who ended up elsewhere in Rapid City in some sketchy areas. So, we were beyond grateful they provided us a clean and safe place for us to enjoy - and a perfect travel/bucket list destination to boot! We were always within short drive to anywhere which afforded us the opportunity to see so many of the memorable places the Black Hills have to offer. I’ve never stayed in a property where I would actually miss the owners, but even our kiddos fell in love with them and had the best time. Did I mention the very cool restaurant literally a stones throw away with drinks and good food? Seriously, by far BEST rental & travel experience I’ve ever had as a travel nurse.

great surprise

We stayed here to be close to Rapid City and Hill City. I was concerned that being between the highway was going to be load at night. I was WRONG. It is a very nice area great location and plenty big home for a group of 8. I will definitely stay here again.

Great Stay

Brand new with great amenities. Found everything to be just as shown online and the kitchen was very well stocked with everything you need to prepare a meal. Loved having the garage to store some items and put the car in at night. We actually arrived an hour early due to the time change and Jeff and Sandi were very accommodating to let us in a little early. Will definitely stay here again.

We LOVED this property

I highly recommend this property if you're in the area. It was close to so many things, like Mt Rushmore, Bear Country, Custer state park, Needles highway, Crazy horse, etc. Check in and check out was easy, property was very clean, communication and questions were quickly answered, saw Jeff out one day and he was very friendly. We definately utilized the front porch and back patio daily. I would definately stay again. Kathy Smith

Great place and great location!

We really enjoyed our stay. It was close to Rapid City, Custer State Park, and an easy drive to the Badlands. The place had everything we needed. If we come back to SD we wouldn't hesitate to book here again!

Excellent all the way around!

This property is in a great location, just minutes away from many attractions. The rooms are a great size and have all of the amenities you could ask for. We would definitely stay here again!

Great Location, Great Property

Nice property, nice and quiet while being centrally located to everything that this area of SD has to offer. You are close to Mt Rushmore, Custer State Park, Spearfish, Deadwood, and the Badlands. Property was clean and nicely appointed. Owners were attentive and responsive. Would definitely look at coming back.

Wonderful location!!

Convenient to all attractions and restaurants around the Mt. Rushmore, Blackhills, and Custer State Park areas, as well as Deadwood and Sturgis. We were delighted that the hosts were so accomodating! This property displays pride and high standards when it comes to accomodating guest. HIGHLY RECCOMMEND Rockerville Gold Town for a very comfortable and peaceful stay for any family!!
