Property was nice but tv in one bedroom did not work. It was quiet and beach was beautiful. Property was very clean and had all amenities needed.

Dear Kimberly. Thank you for your kind review. Your husband plugged in TV HDMI cable that i left and TV was working perfectly when i arrived after you . Its a smart TV and sometimes connections are tricky. ( we have 2nd smart TV in master Bedroom:) Anyway, Sherkston is to enjoy lake view , not a TV . Fantastic experience. Would highly recommend! Well worth the money. Cottage was well equipped, warm and inviting. The host was friendly and very responsive. Will definitely visit again!

Home from a fantastic week at Sherkston. Property was great, very clean, super close to beach and Elena was fantastic to deal with. Our stay was just as explained. Kitchen well equipped and we had everything we needed to enjoy a stress free stay. We are looking forward to returning!! Thank you for making our vacation fantastic!!

Can’t wait to be back!

This cottage was perfect for my myself along with 4 teens. It was clean, and the owner was easy to communicate with at anytime I had a question. I personally loved the location being a minute walk to Wyldewood Beach and having some greener behind the cottage. You will want to rent a golf cart as it’s not into close proximity of the pool/waterpark , restaurants and store but I knew that when I booked. If you prefer to be close to a beautiful beach then this place is for you! Also I was able to have my hypoallergenic dog with me which is a bonus!

We had to leave a day early because the cottage was infested with ants (video evidence as well, but can't upload), because the cutlery and crockery was left dirty. The cabin is a lot older than it looks in pictures.I had to purchase my own gas tank to BBQ, because it wasn't refilled, that I have not been refunded for.Couldn't swim in the lake because on constant Ecoli warnings. We went to the waterpark as an alternative that had diapers and hair floating in the pools.I asked the host to refund 1 night but she refused.

Dear guest, thank you for your review. I’d like to clarify a few points for future guests: Ants: You reported ants and shared a video. After your departure, we discovered dirty dishes left in the kitchen, which was likely the cause. This is a cottage setting, and leaving food or unwashed dishes can occasionally attract ants. Once the dishes were cleaned, no ants were present. BBQ Propane Tank: As explained in advance, if a propane tank runs out, guests can easily replace it at the resort store, submit the receipt, and I promptly reimburse the cost. You did replace the tank but did not provide a receipt, so I could not issue reimbursement. Refund Request: You requested a refund for one night, citing rain. VRBO’s policy does not allow refunds for weather-related cancellations. Moreover, I checked and confirmed (with a deck photo I shared with you) that the day was sunny. Cottage Condition & Photos: The cottage photos on VRBO are updated every year and accurately reflect the current condition of the property. Lake & Pool: The water quality of Lake Erie and the resort’s shared pool facilities are not within my control. Advisories for E. Coli are common precautionary notices for the lake. The cottage itself remains clean and well maintained for guests. I always do my best to ensure a positive experience and provide full transparency to my guests. I regret that your stay did not meet your expectations, but I hope this helps clarify for future visitors. Kind regards, Elena
