The cabin everything that was needed for an enjoyable stay. The bed was comfortable, nice to have a bathroom & shower indoors. The view is definitely what is the highlight here. We spent several hours out on the shore having a bonfire.

We enjoyed our stay at the skipping stone cabin. We visited the lake several times and experienced an eagle visit as well

Whereas the setting was pretty and a decent jumping off spot the cabin itself was so small it was difficult to eat or cook a meal normally. The bathroom and sink situation was also pretty limiting and awkward. The furnace had to be run as it got pretty chilly at night- but it was fairly loud and would wake us up.

We loved the cabin that was clean and had everything we needed. The lake kept us entertained.

Chicago Bay Getaway

Location excellent. Picturesque setting with vivid sunsets and colorful morning sky. Just a short drive to Grand Marais while surrounded with hiking opportunities near by.

Beautiful little cottage in an amazing wild area. Saw a bear! Very comfortable; falling asleep to the waves crashing was amazing!

Fantastic Stay!!!

We had a wonderful long weekend at the Skipping Stone cabin. Off the path enough to feel secluded but close enough to sights in the area that it didn't feel out of the way! Cabin is cute, well maintained and the hosts are exceptional! We look forward to renting the other larger cabin on the property in the near future!

Honestly this was the perfect stay for us. We woke up each morning to all the sounds of nature, elk, loons, gentle waves and then took off to the parks for hikes all day. Came back for a nap and supper and spent the evenings at the amazing fire pit reminiscing over the past couple years together. We loved our stay here and would recommend it for anyone looking to reset and get away from all the noise and stress. Great little place!

Beautiful Vrbo with amazing view

The Vrbo was exactly the size we were looking for, and the view was incredible. Very close to grand marais. I would recommend it.

Tiny treat!

Super small cabin, but it has what you need. Amazing location right on the water, with a fabulous fire pit on the rocky shore. It's a good home base for exploring the parks and trails. We definitely recommend!

It was very clean and cute and being on the lake was nice! It was well equipped. We did not have much room for our things though! It was a bit too small for rainy days and the length of our stay. But appreciated the small touches like snacks and treats they left us! Towels were very nice!

Hi Marc, We are glad you enjoyed you stay. Mosquitos in June can be super annoying; hopefully the provided Thermacell helped! We did respond to your message about the windbreaker, unfortunately we did not find it in the cabin. We hope you can return!

Fun weekend away!

My family and I had a wonderful weekend in this private cabin on the shore of Lake Superior. There was plenty of space for my husband and I and our 2 children. The property was clean and very well maintained. The property manager was quick to respond with any questions we had. There are a ton of beautiful outdoor activities to do while exploring this beautiful part of the country. The sounds of the waves outside our cabin was so relaxing! We look forward to coming back and spending more time here!

Great spot

We loved this cute little cabin! Really clean, orderly, and more stocked than any small cabin we've ever stayed in! Very nice small touches like coffee, waffle mix, etc showed the hosts really cared. The biggest asset is the proximity to the lake. Waking up to the lake shore waves was amazing! The only thing that people should know about is the mosquitos - which obviously has nothing to do with the cabin. It's part of the north woods experience and truly unavoidable no matter where you stay. We would LOVE to come back! Had an amazing experience!

Breathtaking stay on the shore of Lake Superior

I took my 3 teenage daughters up North for one last Hurrah before school starts. We were pleasantly surprised with our stay being that the cabin is studio size and tight quarters. The inside of the cabin is aesthetically pleasing and smart considering the limited space. It was cozy and comfortable. Everything we could need was available to us. Being on the shore was amazing. The beach was quiet besides the waves rolling in, the fire pit was huge, and there were mosquitos but tolerable with bug spray, citronella, and keeping your legs covered. We spent a lot of time at the bonfire and my girls even got in the water. It's situated on the bay, so it felt safe and was warm enough. I would come back here again and again, thank you so much!!

Such a peaceful and relaxing getaway! The views were absolutely beautiful and made the stay feel extra special. The space was comfortable, cozy, and had all the amenities we needed to settle in and truly enjoy our time away. It was the perfect place to slow down, recharge, and take in the surroundings. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a quiet and comfortable escape!
