Great escape for a nice Bear Lake weekend with family. We had 10 people so didn’t use 1/2 of the beds.Property was updated nicely, well stocked (except paper towels) nice amenities and easy access to property and ideal beach. Adult kids enjoyed the hot tub and front porch had beautiful views.Host was responsive and nice.

Family Thanksgiving

Red Barn was great. Beautiful home and view. Hot tub was excellent. Plenty of beds for all of our family

Amazing Place Would Recommend!

The Red Barn was an amazing stay, I had my birthday weekend spent with family and friends for a weekend and had an amazing time. The place is super spacious and has more than enough beds. The hosts were super accommodating and were very proactive when issues with heating happened and were quick and super helpful. There are so many amenities and things to do making this a great place for vacations or gatherings. Overall super amazing hosts and a beautiful place to stay.

We had a large group of 13 stay at this home which is the bases of this review. The home is advertised as sleeping 20, and there are technically enough beds to accommodate that many people. However, from a usability standpoint, I would say 10 people would already be a stretch. There is a lot of furniture in the main living area, which made it difficult for a large group to comfortably move around or spend time together.There were also several maintenance and cleanliness issues during our stay. The home did not feel professionally cleaned, several door knobs wouldn’t stay attached, and some of the kitchen outlets were broken. We also didn’t have enough towels for our group of 13, and there wasn’t enough toilet paper provided.The driveway was another significant issue. After it rained, it was extremely difficult to park or get vehicles in and out. Even once it dried, it remained very difficult to use.The hot tub also needed attention. It was dirty when we arrived, and there were no cleaning supplies available to address it.Overall, the home gave us the impression that it is more of a family cabin that is occasionally rented out rather than a rental for investment. Some of the positives include the view, the gaming table and we played a lot of pool.

This home had several issues upon arrival. There were no kitchen towels or washcloths and we were missing about 6 out of 16 bath towels. There was no toaster, the hot tub was filthy and the fire pit so overgrown with weeds it could not be enjoyed. The driveway is gravel and very difficult to get in and out of. It needs to be paved. There were several other issues like a towel rack with loose screws about to come out as well as curtains rods that looked like someone had pulled on them and almost pulled them out of the wall. There was a crack in one of the windows and one of the doorknobs comes off in one the bedrooms and also missing curtains in another room. The host did respond fairly quickly the first evening when I told them about these issues and had someone bring us towels and dish soap the next morning and chemicals so we could drain and refill the hot tub but we did it ourselves since we own a hot tub. The new toaster they brought us was also broken and the washing machine was broken too. The host offered us an extra night stay but we were not able to take them up on that offer and we were not comped for any of these issues. I would steer clear of this property until they resolve these issues and take care of repairs to the house.
