The Carib House is a colonial style house built in 2 acres of lush tropical gardens. It has 5 large air conditioned bedrooms and is a great place for family and friend reunions. The owners Jonny and Lou look forwarding to welcoming you, and are on hand to make sure your stay is an enjoyable one.

Pricing is based on a group of up to 6 persons with additional price per person per night up to maximum of 10 persons .

The best thing about the Carib House is the huge entertaining areas. Over 4000 sq foot of dining, living, pool and terraces giving you ample space to spend time with and without your family and close friends. A choice of at least 3 dining areas and lounge spaces, in an open plan living area which includes the games and TV areas, close to the 40 x 20 foot pool.

The Carib House is in Turtle Bay, on a peninsula about 10 minute drive from English and Falmouth Harbor villages which are abuzz with restaurants and bars. Close to some of the best beaches in Antigua, and access to lots of activities, this is the ideal get away only a 30 minute drive from the airport.

Prepare to be pampered: We love having people come to stay and will go out of our way to make your holiday special. Pre-provisioning, finding the right staff, booking rentals car to arrive at the villa, arranging your transportation, setting all the bedrooms up to suit your group, helping plan your activities, being available if you need us and disappearing when you don't. Special Celebrations? We can make it even more so. Family reunions, weddings, friends all gathering together across the globe, whatever reason for your holiday we can help you take away some fabulous memories.

WOW!! We stayed four nights over the Christmas holiday with two families (4 adults, 4 kids total). We all had such a great stay at the Carib House. We wished we would have stayed longer. The pool was really fun and the house had more space than we could use. There are so many beaches and wonderful things to do in the area, and Lou went WAYYYYY above and beyond to make recommendations. She also helped with obtaining provisions so we didn't have to grocery shop when we arrived which was such a lifesaver. Would recommend to anyone staying in Antigua!!

Week Long Stay at the Carib House

I would recommend this as a great place to stay and it was very reasonably priced for the space it provided. The communication, both with the owner (Lou) and the property manager while we were there (Jonti), was absolutely phenomenal. Lou reached out well in advance to help us get the fridge stocked (paid separately) and also arranged free transportation to and from the airport and helped us arrange a rental car to be dropped off at the property the next day that we were able to use for the week (paid separately). They also recommended vendors for our various activities (e.g. Scuba). Jonti was a wonderful host and she is a fantastic chef, who was available to serve an in home dinner (paid separately). The only cautionary item worth noting is that the house is a couple miles from the main road and the road leading to the house is (mostly) gravel / dirt and a very poor surface, so any guests that aren’t planning on taking taxis for any trips should understand they’ll want to rent an SUV (sedan might bottom out in some of the potholes) and that you will definitely need to drive anywhere (only a ~10 minute drive to Falmouth / English harbors, but it is not walkable). The description of the rental staff as being available whenever you need them and disappearing when you want your space could not be more accurate. The house itself was great, but I would consider staying in another property owned and operated by Lou and their team because they were such a great host.

Great house and a great time

The property was amazing, although sort of off the beaten path…but that’s not even a problem with having a driver available anytime. The house was spectacular and Lou (owner) was always a call away, willing to help, pick up groceries, drinks, whatever. The house is probably better than the pictures online. And the pool was a great size! Would recommend The Carib House, and Lou, to anyone.

Long awaited vacation-paradise

Our vacation has been in the making since the beginning of the pandemic. Lou has been wonderful to work with. The Carib House was perfect!! Waking up to the sounds of the ocean,relaxing in the pool,traveling to the vast number of beautiful beaches was amazing. The way the bedrooms are arranged with the downstairs one and the cottage one offered everyone not only comfortable accommodations but privacy as needed. Our grandchildren loved having the pool and we all enjoyed the pool table in the evenings. It was great to follow the path down to the beach for sunset pictures. Lou was so great to arrange for dinner brought in upon our arrival. She made so many wonderful recommendations making for a fantastic, relaxing week for your family. We are already planning our next week.

Fantastic villa if you want some quiet

Lou was excellent and extremely accessible at all times. Thoughtful touches throughout (shampoo/conditioner, beach towels and swimming towels/hairdryers etc). Highly recommend.

Tranquility & Beauty at its Best!

There are so many amazing words and wide range of emotions that are evoked when reflecting on our recent stay at The Carib House such as: breath taking, beautiful, restful, peaceful, tranquil, amazing views, family bonding but in the end the words that best describes the home/villa is “Shangri-La” Heaven on Earth, as described by James Milton. From the open floor plan of the home to the spacious and refreshing salt water pool, to the vista of where the Caribbean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean, the home not only met our expectations but abundantly exceeded it! The ample dinning areas with either views of the ocean or breakfast tables with views of the bay and mountains with the sun resplendently rising behind it afforded the perfect opportunity for the family to bond and share quality time. The home’s beauty was equally matched by the wonderful service provided by Mrs Yolanda who kept the home in an impeccable condition while being incredible pleasant and loving especially to our little ones. What also complemented our stay was how accessible, communicative and available Lou was throughout our entire stay while providing dinning options, sight seeing ideas or just local advice (always a WhatsApp away) Carib House is not only the perfect family vacation but for smaller groups the options given the villas layout is perfect or for larger ones too. Staying here is a must again. The only minor draw back (not Carib House only but a function of Antigua which adds to its charm) is that the road leading to the villa does need a little bit of TLC ( where doesn’t with the USA spending $750b on an infrastructure bill) but just some thing small to understand before hand.

Best stay in Antigua

A small group of us travelled to Antigua looking for a relaxing break for a last minute trip. The villa was huge for the 4 of us and the swimming pool and sea views were fantastic. The location was perfect and we had an SUV to get around. Lou is not only the villa owner but an amazing host! Lou went above and beyond - she helped us get fresh fish for dinner, had all the local recommendations and even organized a chef to cook a special birthday dinner one night. Antigua is a beautiful island and would love to come back and stay at the Carib House!

You get the whole package here

Because the owners go out of their way to make your vacation the best possible. We were staying with our 1.5 yr old grandson and he got an upper respiratory infection. We called Lou and she came and got my daughter and her son, drove them to a doctor and then drove them around to get a prescription. She really was the absolute best to take her time to help us out. The layout is the best for larger groups. Love all the outdoor living areas. This is a great vacation rental and in addition you'll get personal help with things that come up on a trip!

March 2015 stay

The stay at the famous Caribe house was a pleasant time for my family and friends. The Tubbs we're the best hosts a traveler could have. The house was everything it was represented to be. There was even cold beer waiting for us upon arrival. We especially loved lunch at Catherines. We hope to return another time to visit with our new friends.

Comfortable, commodious and charming

We were happy from the first moment we moved in! A family of ten, three generations, all fit comfortably into the five bedrooms. The beds had excellent mattresses; in fact throughout the whole house and veranda there was just the right kind of furniture. An excellent kitchen completed our satisfaction. Everyone loved the pool and the gazebo. This was altogether an admirable place to stay.

Fabulous island stay

The Carib House is an amazing place for a vacation in Antigua. The house is fabulous and the views are unbelievable. Our group of 8 didn't even need to use the A/C as the tradewinds kept the location cool. Lou and Jonny were helpful in all aspects including all of their recommendations for things to do on the island. We especially loved dining at Jackie O's. The location of the house is great--close to beaches and swimming areas. If you're considering a vacation in Antigua, the Carib House is THE place to stay on the island!

Family Tubbs live in Antigua where Jonny does building/project management work, and Lou markets and runs The Carib House. Lou originally from Oz, and Jonny from the UK met in Antigua in 1995, and are now permanent citizens of this lovely place we call home. Our two boys now 20 and 21 call this island home and enjoy being part of our concierge team, taking you on hikes and exploring Antigua if you wish!

We built this property completing in 2002, initially as a family home, moving out for rentals, and moved to our own home when the kids started owning animals and needing their own space. We maintain the Carib House with a constant refurbishment program in place.
