As noted in our listing, the beds have medium memory foam mattresses with cooling gel. Mattress comfort is highly subjective—some guests prefer very soft pillow-top mattresses, while others prefer something considerably firmer. We have intentionally selected a medium comfort level as it tends to accommodate the widest range of guests, and the majority of our guests have been very happy with the mattresses. The cooling gel is also particularly beneficial during Canmore’s warmer summer months, which is one of the reasons we have chosen this style over ultra-soft pillow-top mattresses that can retain considerably more heat. For guests with a strong preference for very soft or very firm mattresses, we always encourage reaching out before booking.
