My apartments are located inside the historic center of Montepulciano in a privileged panoramic position. The apartments enjoy also a private garden with solarium terrace and reading area secluded within the ancient Fortress walls.

Good

The apartment was well located and had everything for cooking meals. It was as shown in the photos except for the bed which was not the same. It was also darker, not as bright as described. Overall, everything was as expected.

Large 3rd floor well equipped apt with great Tuscany hills view through French balcony windows. Good location on the edge of town, and a 100 Meter walk up from parking.

Montepulciano Dream

Giacomo and Giovanna were the perfect hosts. Our Black Tea unit had a magnificient view and the apartment was very clean and nicely decorated. We would recommend this property to everyone-very close to beautiful walking town, great restaurants and fun shops. Also very convenient, Giacomo's excellent coffee shop just steps from or door!

Great property in the historic district of Montepulciano, just steps away from the castle. Amazing view from our bedroom windows. Giacomo was a great host and owns a wonderful coffee shop next door which offers exceptional breakfast choices in addition to very good coffee.

This is a magical apartment with glorious views from the bedroom and living room. It’s comfortable, cozy, clean and central to everything. We loved our stay in Montepulciano and would highly recommend this apartment to everyone.

Everything about it was simply amazing!

Wow, wow, wow! Per trip, the communication, instructions and tips were amazing. Once we arrived, we were completely blown away. The service, building, room, everything exceeded our expectations. I would absolutely stay here again. The location to town was fantastic, the team was super helpful and the views were breathtaking. The only two relatively minor issues we had, were the bed and AC. Per most of the beds in Italy, it was a bit hard. We couldn't figure out the AC and given the large size of the place felt guilty using it, so we opted for an open window and the bug net canopy. Was really cool. Can't say enough good things about our experience and time here. We look forward to our next chance to return.

Perfect apartment for a perfect place

Montepulciano is a very special place and the Politian Apartments are the perfect place to stay. They are perfectly located on a quiet street overlooking the valley, but within very short walking distance to several shops and restaurants. The Green Tea apartment was very clean and comfortable and perfect for me, my husband and my mother. Giovanna and Maria greeted us warmly and Giacomo made sure to check in on us as well. Giacomo's family has done an incredible job maintaining the building and when you step into the building and the apartment, you feel as though you are stepping into the last century - but with modern amenities! From the moment I arrived, I was already planning my return. If you're looking for the perfect place to stay in Montepulciano, look no further.

Best part of our Italy trip!

My daughter and I stayed in the White Tea Apartment with its stunning views of the valley. The location is quiet but perfect in that it is within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants and town sites. We had a rental for day trips and were able to park right outside of the apartment. Giacomo and Maria are exceptionally lovely and wonderful to speak with. They were very easy to contact if we had any questions and their on-site caretaker, Giovanna, was equally lovely and so sweet. The White Tea was beautifully and carefully decorated and very comfortable; with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, we had more than enough room for just the two of us. The bedrooms are large, with stunning views of the valley and comfortable beds. The bathrooms were great, with the water pressure/hot water being perfect and towels and a hair dryer were provided. The kitchen, which had just been refurbished right before we arrived, is open to the sitting area and we enjoyed having breakfast most mornings there and enjoyed cooking a dinner of pasta one night! I cannot recommend the Politian Apartments highly enough; truly the best part of our 2 1/2 week tour of Italy.

Two Heavenly Weeks

First of all, Montepulciano is the perfect place to stay. It is charming, not too busy, not too big nor too small, lots of excellent yet reasonable restaurants, friendly people, easy to get to other hilltop towns, wine tasting, cheese tasting, etc. And the Politian Apartments is THE place to stay. We were in the Green Tea Apt. for 2 weeks and hated to leave. All the previous reviews have extolled the wonderful apartments, the garden, the location, and caring and kind attention of the owners Giacomo and Maria and we can not thank them enough for all they did for us. So to mention something new, a nice feature of Green Tea is a lovely private terrace with table and chairs overlooking the gardens, and we made good use of it even in October. On Giacomo's recommendation, we hired Andrea Renieri for many full and half day private tours of Tuscany including many tastings and meals as well as sightseeing. He was so knowledgeable, interesting, and just plain fun that we hated to leave him too. All in all our stay here so far exceeded our expectations, and even our dreams of the perfect Tuscany, that I don't have the proper words to express it...which is quite unusual! And at such a reasonable price, we are only sorry we didn't stay a month.

Lovely apartments in a great spot.

These are great apartments for experiencing Montepulciano and the beautiful surrounding area. Situated at one end of the town, they are very quiet but in easy walking distance of everything the town has to offer. The apartments feel traditional but are well fitted-out with modern facilities. Giacomo, Maria and Giovanna are friendly and welcoming, with good contact before and during our stay. We couldn't have been happier with our choice!

Tuscany at its best

I have been meaning to Review our stay in May 2015. Arlene and I would like to comment on our stay in the Green tea apartment. We just loved it. Perfect for a week long vacation, views to die for and a perfect location. We were so comfortable we hated to leave. Before our trip I was a little concerned about the location being on the extreme edge of the town. Everything was in a comfortable walking distance. Many restaurants and shops were accessible before reaching the central Plaza. After eating at any of the excellent restaurants, a stroll back to our Tuscan home was fantastic. The location of Montepulciano was superb for our daily drives in the countryside and exploration of the surrounding towns. Help was available to answer our questions. Maria and Giacomo were fantastic and made our stay so much better. I can not say enough to recommend the Politan Apartments. Best vacation we have ever taken. We cant wait to come back. A Car is necessary to explore the adjacent areas, however just staying in town would be more than adequate.

Such a beautiful place in the middle of heaven on earth!

My husband I stayed here for my 60th birthday. We were in the Black Tea room WOW! Every part of this beautiful apartment is well thought out and extremely historic. Giacomo was out of town but he helped me before our arrival to book restaurants. Maria was there and what a gentle sweet person she is! We arrived to find a bottle of wine and bottled water on the kitchen table. The views from the window are just as described but better in person. The neighborhood is very quiet and beautiful. Everything is within walking distance. We only used the rental car to take day trips ti Montalchino and Sienna. We actually liked it here better than in Florence. Thank you for such a memorable time.

Loved the apartment and Montepulciano

We stayed four nights at Politian Apartments in March in the Red Tea Room. The apartment was exactly what we wanted -spotlessly clean, cozy, fully equipped kitchen, easy parking , charming Tuscan ambience, a lovely garden and terrace, great location close to restaurants and shops and lots of help and suggestions from Maria, the owner. We can't wait to return -it was a perfect vacation spot. Thank-you also, Giovanna for all your help.

The Garden House-Perfect Apartment in a Perfect Town

Our beautiful "Garden House" apartment, housed in an old family palazzo, was a pure delight. Furnished with antiques and family heirlooms, but at the same time cozy and comfortable; it was bright, open, and very spacious as well as being spotlessly clean. In addition to a large living area with flat screen TV and modern kitchen, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, we also had a charming sitting room (with additional TV) which opened out onto a lovely walled and terraced garden - complete with sun loungers and tables and chairs - perfect for enjoying a leisurely breakfast or a late afternoon glass of wine. The large front windows looked down over the rolling Tuscan countryside with views of vineyards, olive groves, cypress trees, and farmhouses - it doesn't get any better than this! Our delightful and gracious hostess - Antonella - made our stay so enjoyable with her sightseeing, shopping, and restaurant recommendations (don't miss the Osteria del Conte, a wonderful bistro right around the corner from the apt.) as well as making sure that we had everything we needed during our stay. We also had the pleasure of meeting charming Giacomo, who very professionally handles the reservations for the apartments - they both went to great lengths to make us feel welcome. The town of Montepulciano was our favorite, hands down, of all the towns and villages that we visited in Tuscany and the Orcia Valley (and there were many!). Large enough to have numerous good restaurants and shops, but still small and intimate enough to escape the mass tourism and commercialism of some of the other towns, Montepulciano and the surrounding area are the epitome of Tuscan atmosphere and charm. Thank you, Antonella and Giacomo, for helping to make our stay in Tuscany so wonderful and memorable - we hope to come back soon.

Green Tea Apartment - Trip of a lifetime

My sister and I rented Green Tea Apartment for 9 nights in October. We could not have been more pleased with our choice. The apartment is exactly as depicted in photos and the town of Montepulciano is charming, a great base to travel to other towns . We explored Pienza, Val Di Orchia, Montelchino, and Assissi. We also did a day trip of truffle hunting - It was a great experience and our host Frencesco and Catarina were friendly, informative and great fun. I can not say enough about what a great experience this was - Giacamo, Maria and Giovanna went out of their way to make sure that we had everything we needed and were very helpful. We felt welcome and well cared for from the moment we arrived. They made our trip a delight. I would not hesitate to stay here again and I highly recommend this apartment because of the beauty, ease of location and great service we received. So sad our vacation is over but we will be back!!!

Great town, great accommodation

Two couples stayed in the 2 bedroom White Tea Apartment for 5 nights and it was very comfortable. Our hosts were very helpful with recommendations for restaurants and things to see and do in the area. The apartment in on a quiet street with parking nearby (or on the street in front if you are lucky) and it is only a short walk to many fine restaurants within the town. The rooms are spacious with lovely views of the Tuscan countryside. There are a couple of garden terrace areas behind the villa were you can enjoy a quiet glass of wine. We had a car and were easily able to travel to nearby towns. We enjoyed staying in the small town of Montepulciano and would highly recommend staying at the Politian Apartments.

We loved our week at the White Tea Apartment

We rent apartments in Europe every year for our annual bicycling vacation; our stay at the Politian Apartments was our favorite yet. Such a lovely place to stay with such accommodating hosts(Giacomo and Maria). We were allowed to put our bicycles in the garden store room for our one week stay(which meant a short haul up the stairs but not beyond)which made them convenient on a daily basis, and the ever-smiling Giovanna was always excited to hear about our adventures at days' end which gave me a chance to practice my marginal Italian language skills! Giacomo was kind enough to help us with insider knowledge of routes to nearby towns and was unfailingly gracious at every turn(even rescuing us from being completely lost the first day of our stay). The White Tea apartment has everything one could want: fabulous views, helpful but not intrusive hosts, amazing antiques, a lovely garden and a fully equipped kitchen that far surpassed ordinary rentals. I can't imagine a better place to stay in Montepulciano whether you are bicycling or not. Thank you Giacomo, Maria, and Giovanna for a lovely week at the White Tea. Karen and Don PS I am extremely fussy about how clean apts. are, and this one met my standards.

A beautiful visit in Montepulciano!

Giacomo and Maria were splendid hosts. They gave us a lot of help and great recommendations for our stay. The apartment we stayed in was even better than we imagined! The views were spectacular from our room. Our stay here made our holiday perfect in Montepulciano and we highly recommend it for people who enjoy living with the locals! With the great location you don't need a car except if you want to explore other nearby towns.

The Perfect Italian Vacation!

Montepulciano is a beautiful town, with the apartment located within the city walls, in a historic villa from the 1800s, which had been completely updated with all the modern conveniences. We had lots of room so we could spread out. The view from our bedroom and living room windows was magnificent! We could see olive trees and grape vineyards, mountains, and beautiful sunrises every morning. From the kitchen, we had a view of the lovely gardens, balconies, and patios. We used the well-stocked kitchen every morning for coffee and breakfast items purchased from the supermarket, which was within walking distance away (about one-fourth mile away). Giacomo, Maria and Giovanna made us feel very welcome by meeting us at the apartment and showing us around. We really appreciate the bottle of wine and water they provided to us. Giacomo and Maria were available for suggestions and helped with directions for our day trips to Pienza, Montalcino, and Siena, and even printed our train tickets we purchased on-line prior to our departure. Montepulciano is a great town to visit, and we highly recommend the Politian Apartments. Thank you for your hospitality!

Great four days in Montepulciano

What an enjoyable stay in Montepulciano thanks to Giacomo and Maria. They could not have been more helpful in suggestions for sights to see and restaurants. The apartment was very spacious, clean, and well stocked. The location is perfect to explore the city by foot and visit some wine cellars and of course sample the Gelato. It is also close enough to other interesting locations by car. If you want a place with a great view and all the amenities, then this is the place.

A Wonderful Apartment with a Spectacular Garden

I had the pleasure of staying in Apartment No. 3 at the Politian Apartments in Montepulciano for two weeks while attending language classes at the local language school (Il Sasso). The apartment is comfortable, well-appointed, well-equipped and extremely spacious. The building is situated near the top of town, convenient to most everything, but far enough removed from the tourist crowds to feel off-the-beaten-path. The owners, Giacomo and Maria (siblings) are fantastic, as is Giovanna, their assistant, and are willing to assist with any needs one might have during his stay (I was loaned a laptop to use during my visit!). Even in the heat of summer, the apartment had great ventilation and the evenings were cool and relatively bug-free. The terraced garden is quite lovely and well-maintained. My apartment came with a small, private terrace with a dining table and chairs, and I spent many an evening sipping wine and enjoying the beauty of the garden below. I also found the garden a great place to meet and visit with other tenants during my stay. Before my arrival and upon my arrival, the owners provided a wealth of information regarding the history of the palazzo, local restaurant recommendations, and points of interest, both in the town and the surrounding region. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. I highly recommend the Politian Apartments and know I will stay there again in the future!

Amazing Spot

We were lucky to spend 3 glorious days in the White Tea Room apt. and would love to return in the future. Everything about our stay was great. Giacomo (James) has been renting this property for some time and it shows! He was prompt in getting back to me (not instantly - he does have another job, so it could be a few days, but he does follow up) and provided detailed information about the properties available and cost. The pictures on the site are accurate and if anything don't show how wonderful the property really is - the gardens are beautiful and the views of the Tuscan countryside are fabulous. Giacomo sends detailed information about how to drive into this walled city - which I neglected to print out (don't do that) - so we had to call him from the road. He was at work, but took the time and patience to walk us through the directions turn by turn until we arrived at the apt. Yes, he speaks excellent English. There was parking available and his representative met us outside the apt. She spoke limited English but was very friendly and eager to help us. She took us up to the apt (there are about 3 flights of stairs) and showed us around the whole property. She lives on the first floor and was available if we needed anything. Everything was extremely clean and the kitchen was well equipped and there was a bottle of wine for us. Added bonus - there was a washing machine in the apt! The garden was gorgeous with many flowers in bloom. Giacomo has four apartments in this building and the garden is a common area where we met people who were staying in two of the other units - an American who was there for a week, and a British couple who were there for their third stay. They both said that their apts were beautiful and clean. This property is convenient to everything in the magical Tuscan hill town - a tremendous value!

My ancestors (Scottish landowners) bought this property in central Montepulciano in late 1800 as town residence. They eventually chose to settle in this house being located in the nicest and most panoramic part of the town.
