We absolutely loved our stay in the geodome- beautifully kitted out, very comfortable and gorgeous area to explore.One of the nicest stays we’ve ever had- and if we didn’t live in the uk, I’d be booking a return visit straightaway !

Quiet and peaceful retreat to watch the wildlife and stars after hiking in SNP. The dome had everything we needed, and Taylor quickly responded to emails.

Be prepared to cook... Front Royal is not know for its dining options. We found a few gems while driving back and forth to Shenandoah (45 min drive). The grocery store is within 5-7 minutes. The house is stocked with basic needs. Bring coffee/tea, aluminum foil, and storage containers or bags to store left overs. The property is beautiful, especially at night. Being from the city, it took a bit for me to adjust to the quiet and feel safe. Please be aware you need a proper SUV or 4 wheel drive vehicle to make it to the property. Especially after rain.

Weekend away

The property is beautiful and just outside of Front Royal. We visited local vineyards and hit the skyline drive on the way home. We loved relaxing in the GeoDome home!

Taylor is an excellent host. Very responsive and friendly. We loved the Dome great space. Kitchen well appointed. Exceptionally clean. We love this area and stay at a different place each year on our way to visit my sister in NC. Next year we will book the Dome for the entire Christmas week and have my sister join us.

We had a marvelous friends weekend at Lunar Lookout! The house and property were amazingly well appointed. It was perfect for a friends weekend relaxing getaway. The host was very responsive to all our questions. All in all a 10 out of 10!

What an incredible place to get away from it all for a couple of days! It was exactly what we had hoped for. From the modern and comfy space to the setup and breathtaking views, we felt pampered, yet still at home. They thought of literally everything you could need while away from your own space. The morning hot tub soaks and the evening sunsets are no joke. The recommendations in town were spot on and an added bonus. Thanks again for an amazing weekend!

Amazing stay

Our group agreed this was one of our favorite stays ever! Incredible views and amenities, and the dome is just fun (and gorgeous inside). Taylor the property manager was wonderful and helped us immediately with the most random "acts of God" problems like when a groundhog chewed through something outside. Beds were so comfortable too and it's such a perk to have three separate bedrooms and bathrooms. We had one dog with us and she enjoyed lazing around too! We've already rebooked for the fall - that's how much we loved it!

Phenomenal Mountain Home "Lunar Lookout"

We just enjoyed a perfect family getaway at this stunning dome house nestled in the mountains. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the breathtaking views that surrounded us. The home itself is incredibly well-appointed, with every detail thoughtfully considered to ensure a comfortable and luxurious stay. The dome house truly made our weekend special. It was by far the most beautiful weekend getaway we’ve had in the area. The unique architecture and cozy interior provided a memorable and enchanting experience. The amenities were top-notch, and we found everything we needed right at our fingertips. The location is also ideal, with close proximity to Skyline drive and the Appalachian trail making it perfect for outdoor enthusiasts. The surrounding area is charming and picturesque, adding to the overall appeal of our stay. Our family has fallen in love with this incredible vacation home, and we can't wait to return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable mountain retreat!

Great view, property has potential

We stayed with our adult son and 2 dogs over Thanksgiving week. The house was very cool, had a great layout, comfortable furniture and well-equipped kitchen. On the down side, there was no heat in the bathrooms, the rain shower heads sprayed all over the place, the towels were more like blankets than towels (we went and purchased regular terry towels). The driveway is steep and would require 4-wheel drive in winter. We wanted to do some star gazing but there were so many outside lights making it impossible. There are no dressers in the bedrooms, just shelving in the closets. While very clean, so much bleach was used that it smelled all week! And the guest wifi was pitiful. Sooo, we would consider to stay here again in warmer weather but would hope that some of these negatives could be corrected. Oh, and we expected some stinkbugs etc., but I would call it an infestation. The entire house needs to be sealed from the outside to keep the bugs at bay. Very disconcerting that a stinkbug might land on your toothbrush, or you might step on one getting out of bed at night.

Wonderful spot for a long weekend. It is such a unique home, and so aesthetically pleasing. It was very comfortable and well-stocked. We loved all of the outdoor space and hot tub as well. It is one of the most peaceful places I have ever stayed. Highly recommend!
