Comfy ground floor 1 bedroom 1 bathroom condo in a nice, quiet location. Short walk to the hotel and beach. AC and ceiling fan in the bedroom. Carpet in bedroom and living room. Free WIFI access. Free parking right outside your condo and wheelchair accessible. This unit has a fully equipped kitchen and all towels and linens are provided.

Welcome to Kuilima Estates, the condo property located on the grounds of world-renowned Turtle Bay. The condos are surrounded by two beautifully manicured golf courses and are the only condos on the North Shore. This is a great place to relax, rewind, and restore, and a world away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The condo property is a short walk to the hotel and to a lovely, sheltered, coved beach, where you can swim, snorkel, and surf. We have our pools, with lounge chairs, an outdoor shower, and charcoal BBQ grills. Bring your own equipment and play tennis on our courts at no charge. Experience the comforts of home as you experience aloha!
Since we are in a tropical environment, it is common to see insects and geckos in the condos. No amount of spraying will completely eliminate insects, especially ants.

We loved our Turtle Bay Condo stay!

The lodging was very clean, comfortable and convenient. The property was beautiful, front and back. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach out the back, and the flowering trees in the front. We hope to stay there again whenever we go to Oahu.

The Turtle Bay Guava condominium was in a perfect location to walk to the Turtle Bay resort beach and trails that went along the beach. The pool was a comfortable temperature for taking a dip during the day and evening. It would have been nice to have a hot tub too. The condominium was very clean. One of the screen doors was off the rail and the screen door was ripped at the bottom. I reported this and it was fixed the same day. I reported that there was not a door stop to the bathroom door, and this was not fixed. I used the pull out sofa and the mattress was thin, I felt the springs and it was uncomfortable. There was only a fitted sheet. I brought a flat sheet from my son's house to use. There were plenty of pots and pans, dishes, cups and kitchen utensils. I would have liked it if there were some cleaning supplies, such as window cleaner as the kitchen table had a glass top that I wanted to clean after using it.

New Year relaxation

The grounds were beautiful and very peaceful. Our only suggestion is that the shower needs to be replaced. The floor isn’t solid.

But there are several things needing updating, like the rusty fridge, shorting stove element, patio doors + screens, just to name a few. When I asked the staff about the poor condition of our unit, they responded with the owners do not want to spend any money on these units. If that is the case, the unit should be removed from the rental pool.

Elements on stove ave been fixed. As well as screen doors and patio doors. Our appliance do surcome to the salt air here and rust rather fast. We will have our maintenance use special paint on the refrigerator to cover the rust spots.

This review is more about my experience with VRBO, which was quite excellent. Due to circumstances beyond everybody’s control there were severe rains along the North Shore of Oahu. This resulted in both flooding and a multiday power outage. We were only able to stay a single night in the unit and the power was out. Nevertheless, this did not reflect upon the property managers or owners. The unit is quite lovely and perfectly adequate for the price. We wish we could have stayed the whole week there.The experience with VRBO was wonderful. They understood the problems in staying at this condominium due to the power outage. They worked hard to get us a full refund for our stay. Overall, my experience with both this unit and VRBO was excellent.

Reviewer Comments: Check in was good although the condo itself was not very impressive. We fully expected a basic unit but we didn't expect what we got. This unit needs a lot of work. Bathroom area was in rough shape. Trim work was looking worn out. Mold issues from what I could tell. It just needed some work. We had to capture and dispose of 5 cockroaches and countless little bugs dispite the spraying that supposedly took place while we were there. We had a great family vacation but the unit could definitely had been better. I am not one to complain either, just figured you guys would want to know.

Mahalo for staying and for your comments. We do have the units regularly fumigated and had just sprayed prior to your arrival. Sometimes spraying will bring them out and it takes a few days for the buys to die. It is a problem we constantly have to deal with given our tropical setting and humid weather. Will have our maintenance/housekeeping address issues with the bathroom Mahalo!

This particular one was just as nice as the others, except the bathroom was a bit sad.
