Enjoy a relaxing vacation in this cozy home located 2 blocks from the river! You will enjoy a fenced in yard with space to unwind and enjoy the birds, whether lounging in the hammock or relaxing in chairs. Inside, you will find 3 bedrooms upstairs, a full bath and a kitchen stocked with basic kitchen needs for your convenience. The living room boasts an electric fireplace for enjoying a cozy night in.
Our home, located in Marquette, is situated right along the Mississippi River and is close to many surrounding towns bustling with fun activities and beautiful natural areas. We are 2 miles from Prairie du Chien, WI and 1 mile from McGregor, IA. Also, we are a quick walk to Eagleā€™s Landing Winery. Within 20 minutes are several State parks and State forests including Pikes Peak State Park, Yellow River State Forest, Wyalusing State Park and Effigy Mounds National Monument. Whether you are up for a hike or want to get on the water, there are plenty of areas to enjoy nature nearby.

My wife and I along with another couple spent the weekend in this lovely home in Marquette. Check is was fast and easy and the house was very clean and tidy. Had absolutely everything we needed. Loved it!

We really enjoyed our stay in this adorable home. We could feel the pride of ownership. All of the little touches made our stay just perfect, such as having great linens, snacks, coffee, working appliances and easy access in and out of the home and the driveway. We felt at home from the moment we walked in and we will be back!

Lovely stay. Getting into the home was straightforward. We found everything we needed in the kitchen: frig, microwave, toaster, dishwasher.Nicely located in town. Very close to a winery.

Boating weekend

Very nice comfortable clean house. Nicely decorated and Plenty of room for our group of 6 adults. Great location. The owners respond quickly to questions. Would absolutely recommend this home for your river stay!

Amazing Property!

We had a great stay! The house is very cozy and welcoming! There is everything you could potentially need during your stay from body wash, towels, medicine kit, to snacks around the house. The owners are very responsive to all questions and check in and out process was super easy. Makes you feel right at home. The neighborhood is beautiful and there are plenty of sites to see everywhere! Highly recommend to anyone!

This property was very clean. And the owner was very easy to text with. Three beds up and one sofa down helped us to sleep 4 adults. Beds are one queen and two doubles. There is no central AC. But there are window units. One on each floor. One bath down. The house was decorated well in Irish decor. There were dishes to use, a coffee maker and dishwasher. Appliances were modern. Free snacks and waters were provided and that was a welcome touch. Very close to everything. Enjoyed the Maiden Voyage River Cruise, Effigy Mounds, The Cannery in PDC, The Carriage Classic, and visited McGregor.

Great cozy home with a fantastic location

Arriving at the location, I was quite surprised that it was so close to everything we wanted to be close too! We brought a boat and were able to park it right across the street in a lot, so it was very accessible to go back and forth with plenty of room to get the boat in and out. The home is decorated so nice with the Irish touch. Us being from the home of the biggest Irish Fest in Iowa, that was great to see! The kitchen had everything we needed and plenty of space along with the bathroom and bedrooms. The only thing I would change is the lighting in the kitchen. It was a bit dark to cook or cut up food in, but we managed. We fed the birds with the food provided and loved the little fenced in area that the kids could run around in. Since this is on a busy corner, that made us feel safe. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely recommend and stay there again!

We are a married couple from Muskego, Wisconsin and have been visiting the driftless area of Marquette and Prairie du Chien for many years. We enjoy bald eagle watching, visiting the many surrounding natural areas, shopping and dining at the establishments in the downtown areas of McGregor and Prairie du Chien, and floating on the Mississippi river, either in a kayak or on a riverboat tour. Hosting allows us to share these passions and this majestic area with others in hopes of being a small piece of our guestsā€™ lasting memories.

We have the Eagleā€™s Landing Winery a block away and the towns of McGregor and Pairie du Chien are less than 5 miles away. Whether you want to get a bite to eat, do some shopping or get on the water, you can do these things right in our beautiful little neighborhood.
