The house itself is beautiful and comfortable! It easily fit our group of 10 and we enjoyed staying there. It’s close to the ski resorts and restaurants/markets in Truckee.

We booked this property for our family vacation with 3 generations. There was plenty of room to spread out, and the place was impeccably clean and absolutely gorgeous. The beck porch was a favorite spot for morning coffee and afternoon, happy hour. We enjoyed the hot tub several times and it was very clean and the perfect start or end to a day of exploring. While we would have loved to stayed right on the water, it was out of our budget. However, this property was a great location for going out and exploring the entire lake. We flew in and out of Reno, and it was so convenient. The owner was very responsive whenever we had a question or issue. We have never stayed at a property that had so many supplies included, which was a nice surprise. I can't say enough about this beautiful home and would highly recommend it to any other group or families going to explore the beauty of Lake Tahoe.

This property is absolutely gorgeous. We meet with extended family once a year and require a house with enough space for the kids and adults. This house was perfect for this, allowing us to cook family meals and spend quality time together. Joe, the Owner, was very responsive to any questions that we had.

Girls trip with a total of 7 of us. Absolutely loved this house! Great location on the golf course. Truckee was a nice location to explore Tahoe from and we traveled to the East Shore and Wesr Shore easily for activities and meals. It has a great wine fridge to keep your drinks cool and a great washer/dryer. If you have a big group you may want to purchase your food in stages as the refrigerator is on the small side. Also check the house for items left from previous guests before buying things. The Safeway is quick to get to if you need anything. Bed were all comfortable, kitchen was well stocked to prepare snacks/meals. Would love to return. Joe was easy to work with.

Highly recommend Joe’s house to enjoy a nice community in the mountains. It’s sits on the perfect location of a golf course where it is private, yet accessible to the rest of the community. It had everything we needed to enjoy a week away.

Great house for an Adult Family

The house was perfect for a large group of adult family members. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking items and I loved the Wine/drink refrigerator. Great beds and a wonderful location. We will come back again!PS. One suggestion clarify the 5th bedroom is the game room and the couch is in the open area.

Heavenly cabin

One of the best cabins we’ve rented in Lake Tahoe. Seriously, the cabin looks exactly like the photos. It feels grand but also homey at the same time. The kitchen is amazing - the best for anyone who loves to cook and entertain. The covered patio provided the best outdoor gathering spot, especially during the winter with the heat lamps. We especially loved the open concept of the first floor - where we could cook and still be part of the conversations happening in the living room. The driveway is grand - allowing for cars to park outside comfortably. The cabin was clean and organized when we arrived - with every gadget in the kitchen that we needed for cooking. We especially loved having the hot water faucet! That was a first for all of us. We look forward to going back!

Lovely place

We hosted our family here over the holidays. The house is pristine and well equipped. Lots of large common spaces for our group to gather/ play games/ cook and eat; and bedroom layout so guests feel like they have private space as well.

Top Notch

Brought my family here for the weekend, grandparents included + another family and kids. House is just amazing. Plenty of space, back deck with the 3 tier slider out to the golf course is the highlight. The neighborhood is beautiful. The course is top tier. Brand new Raleys and truckee brew do just down the street. Hope we get to come back, Joe is great to communicate with.

Fantastic Property/Location and Host

Went for a 3 night stay with 12 people for a golf trip in Truckee area. This house was absolutely fantastic with every modern amenity you could ask for. Home was built in 2024, brand new and on the golf course at a prime location. Owner/Host was extremely kind and accommodating, would like to comeback as soon as possible. Don’t hesitate to book this property as you won’t be disappointed.

Beautiful,large house

We just left for our 3nights stay at Joe's place. It is a gem in Truckee, only 12 mins drive to Lake Tahoe. It located in a private, gated community. There is golfing area. House is well equipped for a large group. Jacuzzi is a plus after a long day hiking. The backyard view is amazing. The only drawback was the AC didn't work during our stay but Joe was very responsive. We will come back!

Shelly and live in San Jose. Our family has always loved going to Lake Tahoe. In fact, we raised our kids up going to Lake Tahoe during Christmas and New Years. All through the years Shelly and I have wanted to call Lake Tahoe home. Now, we have that opportunity to not only own in Tahoe, but we enjoy allowing family, friends, and others enjoy what we now call home. Just like us back in the day, we hope that your traditions begin with our home in Lake Tahoe.

Shelly and I choose Shaffer's Mill because of one very special reason.......family! Schaffer's Mill is very family related. The way it is designed, the activities that are provided, and the overarching friendliness from the folks who live there, that was what really drove Shelly and I to buy, build, and call Schaffer's our home.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Our home is a mountain modern home. It is literally brand new. From the time you pull up to our home, you get the feel of a home that belongs in the mountains. But when you step inside, you immediately feel cozy and refreshed with all the newest amenities. From smart TV's and ample space for large families, you will feel as though you are in a home away from home. All of the bedrooms have in-suite baths. There is also a Jack and Jill bath for the game room/bedroom and one of the other bedrooms. In all of the bedrooms, there are king size beds. Yes, King size. There are also two queen size beds in the game room and a queen sofa sleeper on the top landing of the stairs.
As for views from our home. While on the back patio, you will get to enjoy sipping on your favorite drink and watching golfers approach the 14th tee box, all while resting or barbequeing your next meal. On the top deck, off the game room, you can sit and enjoy the rising sun while reading or simply enjoying the quiet mornings of the mountains.
