With its convenient location just minutes from China Peak Ski Resort, this adorable cabin is the perfect home base for your mountain getaway. Experience the magic of the Sierra Nevada mountains!



The Space:

The living area is spacious and designed for comfort, featuring multiple sofas, a fireplace, and large windows that let in abundant natural light. This space is perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring, with a flat-screen TV and a selection of board games, puzzles, Wii games and hockey table for entertainment.

Upstairs, you'll find all three bedrooms with QUEEN size beds and a loft with two FULL size beds. Also, there's a bathroom upstairs with a toilet & shower.



Guest Access:

Guests will have access to the entire cabin besides a few locked owner closets.



The Neighborhood:

Tamarack is a charming, small community located in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California, near the China Peak Mountain Resort. This area is known for its scenic beauty, outdoor recreational opportunities, and tranquil mountain atmosphere.

Tamarack is surrounded by dense forests of pine and fir trees, with breathtaking views of the Sierra Nevada peaks. The elevation and rugged terrain provide a picturesque backdrop, making it a haven for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. The area experiences all four seasons, with snowy winters and mild summers.

Tamarack is in close proximity to China Peak Mountain Resort, a popular destination for winter sports. The resort offers a variety of runs for all skill levels, as well as snowboarding, tubing, and snowshoeing.

In the warmer months, the area is a paradise for hikers and mountain bikers, with numerous trails that wind through the forests and mountains. The trails vary in difficulty, catering to both casual walkers and experienced adventurers.

Water Activities: Nearby Huntington Lake and Shaver Lake offer opportunities for boating, fishing, kayaking, and swimming. These lakes are perfect for a day of relaxation on the water or a picnic by the shore.

Tamarack itself is a small, close-knit community with a laid-back atmosphere. While it may not have the bustling amenities of a larger town, it offers a few local businesses and eateries that cater to residents and visitors. The nearby town of Shaver Lake provides additional dining, shopping, and services.



Getting Around:

This cabin has a large driveway, which can accommodate up to 4 vehicles.

No parking on the street during winter months due to snow removal.

Do not sled in the street during the winter. It's very dangerous and owner's get fined.

No recreational vehicles or camping allowed in yards and driveways.

There is no uber, etc in this area.-you need your own transportation.



Other Things to Note:

4x4/all wheel drive vehicles may/will be required with cables/chains during the winter season. Please be prepared or CHP could refuse entrance into Shaver Lake (168-E)

NO OUTDOOR FIRES ALLOWED!

Wifi is slower in Tamarack- please understand this is out of my control.

We do not provide wood.

BBQ Grill Policy:

The BBQ grill is available for guest use; however, propane is not provided or guaranteed. Guests must bring their own propane tank if they plan to use the grill. Propane tanks can be filled locally at Shaver Lake Hardware. No refunds or discounts will be issued due to lack of propane.
