Belle Roche is designed for absolute comfort, inside and out, with extensive living areas to rest and relax, a contemporary fully-equipped kitchen and the latest and best in technology and entertainment.

Wonderful house

This house is spectacular, very clean, beautiful, and fully stocked. The owners are very responsive and even put together a welcome book sharing things to do in the area. I highly recommend this home to anyone that is planning on visiting the Cairns and Port Douglas area. Thanks for a wonderful vacation.

Absolutely Fabulous

Located about 15 minutes from the centre of Port Douglas, Oak Beach is an oasis of serenity. Belle Roche has everything you need for your stay, with a fabulous kitchen allowing you to cook up a storm while admiring the view of the beach. Highly recommended!

Trust the pictures - it's real.

After traveling 4,5 weeks with a rented motorhome through Queensland, we (family of 4) stayed the last 5 nights at Oak Beach, and we all loved it there. It's such a great place to take a deep breath, relax and have your soul take all these wonderful impressions back home. We can truely recommend this appartment.

Fantastic piece of paradise and amazing owners

We are a family of 4 - 2 teenage boys - and we had a wonderful time at Belle Roche on Oak Beach. The house has everything you will need and very comfortable. The pool was a wonderful break from the heat. Fiona and Alain are so responsive and ensure you want for nothing. Highly recommend.

Relaxing with luxury

Belle Roche is the perfect house for relaxing. The master suit has everything you need with a stunning view of the ocean at sunrise. The kitchen was well equipped. For us the highlight was the outdoor deck, the bbq, pool and the amazing view of the ocean. The hammock was very useful for quick naps under the blue sky. We will definitely return here.

Sensational property in a wonderful location

Belle Roche is a tremendous place to stay. The hosts are kind, caring people who are easy to communicate with. As opposed to many short term rentals that feel like short term rentals (glorified hotel rooms), Belle Roche feels like home. You can tell the hosts have loving cared for and equipped the house to maximize the ease and enjoyment of your stay. The house itself is as lovely as the pictures say, and the beach is largely deserted and picturesque. We couldn’t have been happier with our experience.

Absolutely amazing

Perfect house right on a beautiful beach. We were greated with a bottle of champagne and welcome note. The house is well stocked and the beds were so comfortable. The house is immaculate. 15 minutes into Port Douglas. The best part of the location is the sunrise- do not miss it!! If you are in the area there is no better option. Thank you for an amazing vacation.

Stunning home with incredible ocean views directly on the beach. Well equipped kitchen, beautiful furnishings inside and out. Comfortable beds. The owners are gracious and communicate well, making the check in process easy. Located on a lovely beach and a short drive to Port Douglas. Fiona and Alain, thank you for providing such a wonderful place for us to stay on our first visit to the area. It was indeed a special experience. Cheers

A wonderful house in a spectacular location - so hard to leave.

Obviously the first thing that stands out about this property is the amazing location, right on the beach. Beyond that though, the house itself is stunning - extremely comfortable and thoughtfully equipped with everything you might want. From towels galore, to the espresso bar, to the games and pool toys, to the bottle of bubbly waiting in the fridge, we wanted for nothing. Fiona was also very easy to deal with - always prompt, courteous, and thoughtful. Recommended without reservation.

Started Fabulous Ended Terribly

We had a very excessive cleaning bill debited directly off my savings card, on top of the bond not being returned, zero communication and no photographic evidence of what we are accused of. We spent a wonderful week, paid a lot of money, employed locals to give back to the hard hit community and do not believe we were treated with any respect. We saved for 2 years for our 10th wedding anniversary celebrations to have it ruined by an act that has up financially in a hole for quite some time to come.

This guest left our property in a filthy state, muddy footprints on the white sofa (despite throws being provided), muddy footprints all over the upstairs cream carpet (despite mats being provided), etc. The house required significantly more hours to clean than usual before our next guests arrived, the stains in the carpet subsequently required professional cleaning and we had to compensate the new guests due to the awful state of the upstairs carpet. We have withheld the guest's bond and nothing else, as per our house rules, which they agreed to. We have submitted a review of this guest to VRBO, which all property owners can see, so that other owners may be protected from having such a dreadful guest experience. Thankfully, these types of guests are the exception.

This is a wonderful and beautifully presented property. Sadly we had to end our holiday early but Alain and Fiona were very understanding, very helpful and very easy to communicate with. We will be back :)

Absolutely stunning house in a beautiful location - paradise!

Belle Roche is an unbelievably beautiful house in the most gorgeous location. There was literally nothing that Fiona and Alain hadn't thought of - even a bottle of champagne waiting for us on arrival! From beach towels to mosquito coils to pods for the coffee machine everything was covered. Our stay was so relaxing - the pool and the deck area are gorgeous and the beach was stunning. We really didn’t want to leave and would love to return one day. We cannot recommend this house and it’s hosts enough - it truly was amazing.

Breathtaking, Amazing, Everything I ever wanted!!!

Forget the pictures, they just do not do this house or property justice because once you see it with your own eyes, you will literally shed a tear (I did!). The house is immaculate and the property is awe inspiring. I did not want to leave and we have started planning our next trip back here as soon as we can. Fiona was the most gracious host and super helpful from the moment I reached out to inquire to the day we left. She even left us a beautiful welcome gift and a birthday present for me, which I love!!! We could not have asked for a better more comforting experience. Every amenity was there and then some! We intended to dine out a few times, but the kitchen equipment was so well stoked we ended up cooking every meal there. It was like something out of a dream but the reality was even better. There was plenty of room for us to spread out and everyone seemed to find their favorite spot, whether it was in the hammock, on the super comfortable outside furniture, in the pool looking at the sea or on the beach. The rooms were also spacious and the master suite was spectacular (there was an ocean view from the walk in closet!!) It was hard to get us out of the house to enjoy the local area, but we did manage to get out a few times. While we were staying here we ventured into Port Douglas to enjoy the night life, shopping and a trip out to the reef for some snorkeling. We also got up to the Daintree Rainforest to do some hiking and really enjoyed the local beach. We rented a car so it was easy to get around during the day and we had no problems getting a taxi out or back when we went to Port Douglas in the evening. We truly felt like we found a treasure and I can honestly say this house and the week we spent here was my favorite part of the entire trip. I am so grateful to have had this experience.

Nice holiday in a lovely place

we spent a holiday with our kids and grandparents and we enjoy a lot stay at Belle Roche villa. The villa is just in front of the sea, it is fully equipped with everything you need, nothing is missing....; rooms are big, clean and nicely decorated. The master bed room on the second floor has a beautiful view of the beach and sea. The swimming pool is nice. There is plenty of space inside the villa and in the outside patio Location is also good and strategic, not too far from several attractions, Cairn airport is about 50min drive, a car is necessary to be independent

Perfect week by the ocean

We had an amazing time at Belle Roche. We have 2 kids ages 7 and 9, and they loved swimming in the pool for hours at a time. Although we couldn't swim in the ocean due to stingers, we loved walking the quiet, beautiful beach each day. This house is incredibly well stocked with everything you could ever need for a week by the beach and more. The outdoor furniture is amazing and the views out over the ocean are spectacular. The hosts are very generous and supplied extras such as Nespresso coffee, sunscreen, tea, and a bottle of champagne! We would highly recommend staying here, and if we didn't live so far away we'd be back every year.

Don't just visit there "Live" there and feel like one of the locals

We recently returned home after having spent 15 days at Belle Roche from early August . We had a wonderful time. The location is off the charts. Beautiful views from the Ocean facing windows.The street where the house is located is a lovely tropical enclave so quiet and private yet only a short drive to Busy Port Douglas It's the perfect place to enjoy the the Whole region. Bravo!! For us it was our first visit to Far North Queensland and great to swap cold and wet Melbourne for a warm 28c every day, we decided a few years back that home stays are much nicer than a maximum security concrete hotels! The point of difference being that you almost immediately begin to feel like one of the locals. From our first impressions you know that the owners have an eye for quality and style, the other reviews here are not in the least exaggerated and Belle Roche has everything and more you are likely to need during your stay. As an artist and photographer i loved watching the light changing at dusk and seeing the reflection of the Moon on the water through the silhouettes of the palms needless to say i probably shot over 3000 images of Far North Queensland during our visit. Now that we are back in Melbourne we are already missing Belle Roche a lovely home in a beautiful location. Thank you Anthony & Joanna

This home is the real deal

We just spent eight days in this home. It was everything and more than we expected. The owners take great pride in this property and it shows. The home is clean, well stocked with dishes and amenities. Perfect location. Definitely a place we will come back too.
