Chatham historical Society is a must see, as well try the best pizza in town, Carmines Cafe, on main street .The family must visit the Chatham fish Pier ,enjoy fresh lobster, clams, and clam chowder..Don't miss Chatham lighthouse beach for stunning views of the Atlantic ocean. In the center of town there is a new movie theater for your enjoyment. Also you can take day trips to Nantucket or the the famous Martha's Vineyard.

Wonderful Vacation Home

My family and I had a wonderful vacation in Chatham. This home is in a quiet neighborhood on a beautiful piece of property. Itā€™s a spacious and comfortable home. We enjoyed the stunning views along our walks to the beach. Getting to downtown Chatham was easy and enjoyable.

Super fun

We always have a wonderful time staying at Barbaraā€™s home. We love everything about the place. Itā€™s a short walk to the beach and Taylor pond. Great is you like to paddle board. The house has a perfect layout especially if you have kids that want their own space.

Clean and spacious house!

When you think of the Cape, tornados rarely come to mind, but on our stay we had one in the area! Barbara was simply phenomenal in her support and check ins during the process. A great family friendly neighborhood, and a nice house- plus the added benefit of a responsive and caring owner made for a memorable trip.

Perfect with a FANTASTIC host!

We had a wonderful stay at this home. Itā€™s was clean, comfortable and in a great location. The outdoor deck was great for chilling out in the shade at the end of the day. It had everything we needed and then some. Our host, Barbara, was the best. She went out of her way to make sure we had a great experience. We would definitely book this home again. Great house and location

Barbaraā€™s house was spacious, comfortable and clean, and she was very helpful and responsive. Our family of four had more than enough space and privacy, and everything we needed to make ourselves at home when we werenā€™t out enjoying the beaches and all of the other activists in the area. I appreciated the helpful instructions for appliances and other items, and the house was very well cared for. And, the location was perfect for us - a quiet street, about a 15 minute walk to Cockle Cove Beach, and a short drive into the center of Chatham (5-10 minutes) and also to the grocery store in Harwich. It is a great rental and we plan to stay again.

Exactly what we were hoping for

We recently stayed at this property for a week with my wife, three young children and slightly mobile limited father and mother-in-law. The layout was great for both parties; easy access for our older family-members and easily made safe for our younger children. The overall condition of the property was great. The house is a bit older but did a good job balancing the old "cape charm" with the right touches of well-kept and clean modern amenities. We noted there was a recent change in ownership of this property, so we were a little cautious assuming all the great legacy reviews would hold up, but we are very happy to say that the new owner, Aniesa, was great! Her communication was top notch and it was very clear she was passionate about making this a great experience and destination for her renters. Overall, really no complaints and we would definitely be happy to stay here again!

Amazing Family Vacation in Chatham

We couldn't have asked for a better first experience in Chatham. A young family of four, the home was perfect for our needs. Barbara was an attentive host from the booking process, leading up to the vacation and following up on our stay. She was very informative and guided us on what to bring and things to consider doing while in Chatham. Other things to note: -Bright spacious house tastefully decorated and comfortable furniture and bedding. -Spacious bedrooms and bathrooms for the family (ages ranging from 3 to 72 ) -easy access to quiet beach (Cockle Cove) -Fully Stocked Kitchen with all the cooking utensils needed for all types of meals (grilling, seafood, mac n cheese) -Gorgeous back deck perfect for eating, relaxing and spending time with family -Spacious front yard perfect to pickup toddler wiffle ball -Conveniently located near Chatham center, local sailing and boat cruises/excursions and near rt 28 and 137 We can't wait to go back next year! Lovely, quiet location in Chatham

Working with Aniesa to arrange our stay was wonderful. She was very attentive and friendly and offered lots of recommendations for local beaches and restaurants nearby. I much prefer working with homeowners for this reason, as opposed to agencies that manage many homes. The personal touches make it much more special. I wish more homes on VRBO were owned by individuals. Not a fan of the big organizations who buy up all the homes in an area. We rented the house for the location, but also for the number of beds. Six women on a college reunion weekend. Itā€™s very hard to find that many beds in any home. The set up was perfect, with plenty of room for us inside and outside on the back deck. Outdoor shower is always a bonus. Bedrooms were spacious, The second living room space in the basement would be perfect for older children. Kitchen was well stocked, as was the bookcase full of everything from beach reads to mysteries. The neighborhood is cute and quiet and a quick walk to a beach, and an ice cream shop! Close to town and other activities as well. additional bonus was the wraparound driveway able to easily fit six cars. I would highly recommend this property and look forward to staying there in the future.

A Charming Comfortable South Chatham Home

I stayed at this house the second week of July with my daughter and her family. The house was very comfortable, clean and attractively furnished. It was in a lovely neighborhood with summer flowers everywhere. They even lined the driveway behind the house. Barbara, the owner, was very helpful when I was planning the visit. She patiently answered my questions about cooking utensils and supplies in the kitchen. When we were staying at the house, she was always available if I texted her with questions. I couldn't help but get the feeling that she wanted her guests to enjoy their visit to her home. My son-in-law and 8 year old grandson loved the TV room in the basement. It was their man cave. I liked the Weber grille so much that I'm considering buying one like it. Last, but not least, my daughter and granddaughter enjoyed the many channels and available sites on the living room TV. My daughter re-watched episodes from Game of Thrones to be ready for the new season. My 12 year old granddaughter turned to Netflix for episodes of Anne with an E. You might say this house was very comfortable for all of us.

Comfortable home

Lovely home in a quiet neighborhood. We stayed the last week in August 2015. The house was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The bedrooms are spacious with plenty of closets. We had eight people in the house and it didn't feel cramped. We all felt we had plenty of space. We enjoyed the semi-private deck, which was also a good size with comfortable seating. One side of the deck faces a wooded area. It is a 15-20 minute walk to Cockle Cove beach. There is a $15.00 parking fee per day if you need to bring the car. There are also many ponds close by that have free parking. There is a large Stop and Shop less than a 10 minute drive away. Chatham Main Street is not far (maybe 10 minutes). It had a lot of free parking (but a couple of times we had to be patient and wait for a space), many shops/boutiques and a few restaurants. Chatham is a lovely area and is centrally located on the Cape. We ventured to Eastham, Provincetown and Hyannis. The owner, Barbara Dolan, provided excellent service. She was very nice and accommodating. She even called us on our way up to tell us we could check in early!! She made us feel like it was important to her that we were comfortable in her home. I would definitely stay in this property again. It's a lovely home.

Summer vacation

This is a great house! We loved our week here. Itā€™s not a huge house but has plenty of space! The deck is private and big and provided a whole additional ā€œlivingā€ space. My daughter was able to work (in her bathing suit and sunscreen!) all week on the deck with the strong wifi the house provides. The house was immaculate and had everything we could need. The beds are very comfortable, and that is a key criteria for us. The outdoor shower is great! The location of the house is the best. Itā€™s under a mile walk to the beach so our morning walks included walking down to Cockle Cove and back up past the house then around and down to Ridgevale (the next beach over) and back. Itā€™s a wonderful, quiet neighborhood but with the easiest access to the Main Street (28) and around the corner from the Rail Trail. The house is about equidistant between downtown Chatham and Harwich Port, both of which have wonderful restaurants and shops, but most importantly amazing ice cream. The house is a short 20-25 minute drive to Nauset Beach in Orleans and the National Seashore Beaches up the coast which are phenomenal (buy the National Parks pass if you will go to one of those beaches 3 or more times - worth it!! Can buy the pass at the beach entrance - itā€™s good for a year!). It was only about 25 minutes to Dennis which also had a great beach and restaurants. (Go there for sunset!!) Barbara is wonderful to work with and provides a wealth of information. She gave great, easy instructions all over the house and was extremely responsive to any questions I had. I highly recommend this house!

Great spot

We had a great stay on Island View. The host Barbara was very attentive, the house was great location and a great size and central to various attractions in Chatham, Harwich and other surrounding areas. Would highly recommend.

Great Home To Vacation in Chatham

This home is the perfect place for a family looking to visit Chatham. Short distance from the beach. The home is roomy, clean and nicely laid out. Perfect for a family. Right near Rt 28, so a quick ride into town. Owner is very helpful with information and quick to answer any questions. We had a great vacation and highly recommend this home.

Family Reunion in Chatham

This home is in a great location on a private street in a quiet neighborhood of other beautiful homes. A short walk to the nearby Cockle Cove beach was a morning routine for us. The home was equipped with everything we needed. Don't overlook this home when looking to stay in Chatham!

Super fun

This was our third season renting Barbaraā€™s home and we truly love staying there. Every morning a few of us would jog to the beach and back. Its1.8 miles round trip. Itā€™s such a pretty walk or run. Taylor pond is great if you have a paddle board. Itā€™s a short walk. The bike trail is so fun. We biked to town almost every day. We really enjoy Dog Fish Taco which is super close. The house is perfect. Itā€™s clean and laid out so kids can hang in the finished walk out basement and the adults can enjoy upstairs. The deck is fun to eat outside. Everyone enjoyed the outside shower. Oh and the beds - very comfortable. Itā€™s a very easy place to vacation. So many great memories.

Peaceful

The house was very clean and the air conditioner worked great. The deck was great for morning coffee and evening wine. The neighborhood is lovely and very quiet. It is about a 15 minute walk to the beach and there is a cute shop on the way! The beds were comfortable and there were three bathrooms which was great. The owner Barbara was a perfect host from beginning to end. The town is also close and you have to get a burger at mom and pops. We had a really good time and hope to go back.

This is the 2nd time we have stay here and we couldn't be happier. House met all our needs and the homeowner is a joy to work with. House was clean, fully stocked, and was in a great centralized location only minutes away from the beach. This is our favorite home away from home.

We had a really fun time ....

We had a wonderful time. Super clean and perfect for our needs. We love to paddle board and Taylor Pond is a short walk with a nice ramp to put our boards in the water. At night we would walk to Taylor Pond and go for a swim. Cockle Cove beach and Ridgevale are a short walk. Close to the bike trail so bring your bikes. We enjoyed going for a bike ride into town. A very comfortable house with the perfect layout for a family with kids. We were really lucky to have been able to rent this wonderful home.

3 generations enjoyed their time

Clean house. Owner has everything labeled - very helpful. Great space for grandparents and grandkids to play. Canā€™t walk to beach but can walk to ice cream. Deck is beautiful and yard is also fun.
