Large clean home for our big family. One shower was broken. They plan to get a plumber out to fix it. That was our only complaint.

Great location, perfectly in between Ouray and Ridgeway. Great house for 16 couples or families. Great kitchen supplies and bathroom amenities. Host was very responsive, replenished everything we needed. Our family loved the property. The only thing that keeps me from giving a perfect review is that there was zero ice in any of the refrigerators and the 2 ice makers were not working. If we would have known to bring ice this would not have been an issue. 2ndly one of the beds may have had sheets that were previously used as there was some kind of glitter all over them and we had to wash them. Overall was fantastic and would stay there again.

What a wonderful place to stay! I was with a group of 18, plus a baby, and it never felt crowded. There was plenty of space for everyone during meal times and when we played board games. The host was great with providing extra bedding for an air mattress that we brought, and a high chair & play pen for the baby so we didn't have to travel with it. Overall, my group loved the place!

We had a great time but a few things to remember when people are coming and are not familiar with the area it was hot inside the home the entire time never cooled off when you are charging a premium price even if it doesnā€™t have ac you should have a way to cool it off properly fans and the few small ac units are not going to cool down a 9000 sqft house. So no one really got good sleep cause of the heat. Also I killed about 3 spiders and there were dead bugs in the master bath room the Sauna didnā€™t work and the ice machine didnā€™t work but other than that the floor plan was great and the location. Overall nice property just could have been better informed of the heat issue.

We rented this home for our extended family to stay in during our vacation in Ouray and surrounding towns. The house is beautiful and spacious. All of our family members were very happy with our stay. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well-equipped. An added plus is that the home owner provides plenty of essentials for you (toilet paper, garbage bags, dishwashing detergent, etc.)! Ashley was incredibly responsive to my questions. We loved that we could get all 13 members of our party around the dining room table. Thank your for your hospitality and for sharing your home!

Best House in Ouray for Large Group

We had a wonderful stay at this property! We picked this home for the large gathering spaces - kitchen, dining and living room. It is just as pictured. Each room is well appointed with comfortable bedding and the bathrooms were well stocked with all the essentials. Great parking with two trailers and our kids really enjoyed the outdoor areas. The owners were able to make recommendations on great things to do and places to eat in the area which was a wonderful resource. They were very responsive when needed. Our only drawback was that there is no central air and with the size of this home the few fans and mobile ac units just didn't put a dent in the above average temperatures. It was hard to cool the home down to even a comfortable temperature until well after sunset.

Laura Benton was a pleasure to deal with and exceptionally responsive. We had an issue with the front door lock making a high pitch noise for 2-days but someone came out quickly to try and resolve on the 1st day and did resolve on the second day. It was not convenient to have to wait until 5pm to ck in as this is too late in the day.

Fabulous gathering spot!

Several of us gathered to attend a wedding in ridgway. This space was perfect for people coming and going. The kitchen is set for many people - dishes, pots and pans, and large table for eating. Had fun at the game table plus breakfast on the deck. We had ages 25-95 and all went well.

Ridgway wedding

The house was perfect for our needs. It is huge and beautiful. Tons of space for different groups to hang out in the living room, kitchen, basement pool table room. we had between 18 and 20 people staying comfortably, each with a comfy bed. The two master bedrooms are fantastic. Master shower is over the top. Two large refrigerators and the devil oven were super helpful. Super quick drive to Ridgway or Ouray. Great experience, overall!

Ridgeway Ouray Mansion

This is a beautiful large vacation house, large family room, dining room, nice kitchen and eating area. Two large nicely decorated master bedrooms. Basement with 5 more bedrooms, all adequately sized. Outdoor deck with table for 6, patio. Sure to amaze when you first see it! Cons are no central air, difficult to cool especially the bedrooms late on a hot day. Silverware was just adequate for 10 people. Windows are all crank windows and a number of the windows do not work for varying reasons. Some exteriorstone is falling from deteriorating fireplace chimney in master bedroom. Location is about 12minutes to Ouray, 15 minutes to Ridgeway State Park. I saw 25 species of birds over the week off the back deck. Nice variety. Would stay again!

Beautiful Property, Lovely Setting

I am a CO native and have spent time in Ouray since childhood. Could not ask for a more gorgeous, idyllic setting for a getaway. The house has a convenient location off the highway leading to Ridgway and is very spacious. The huge living room was awesome for our guests. There is a beautiful creek right outside the back of the home that is fantastic to listen to at night with the windows open. Overall a wonderful place and lovely, spacious older home that has had a significant amount of updating done. My only complaints are: (1) internet worked for none of our guests, IP address could not be detected by any devices; (2) some windows in the home do not open, the cranks are apparently stuck; (3) the downstairs was very musty when we first arrived, had to be aired out; (4) communication with property manager could have been better, I had requested an early check-in over a month prior and was told I would be informed if we could do that, and never heard anything until day of arrival. This is a very expensive VRBO to rent as the whole home, and for the high price we paid it seems reasonable to expect internet as promised (a few of us had to work each day), and slightly better service. Overall, again, a beautiful home and you just canā€™t beat Ouray.

The grounds are awesome! The house is awesome! We were able to have family and friends of 18-20. We had privacy in rooms and plenty of space for gatherings. This is a fabulous property for a large group. The management was wonderful. The location was private yet close to any things. Beautiful area! We will definitely come again. Beautiful Home - Such a Wonderful Stay!

My husband and I rented this home, along with the smaller home on property, to host our families and close friends for our Ouray wedding. It was everything we could have wished for and more. This larger home gave our family the space to spread out but also enjoy some extended connectivity. The convenience between the two homes was truly awesome and helped more times that I could count that we weren't running people around all weekend to different hotels or locations! Thank you to Laura for being so responsive the months leading up to and for the duration of our stay. I had so many questions while planning everything for our weekend and was grateful to get my questions answered so quickly! Location is equidistant between Ridgway and Ouray which was very beneficial to our weekend activities. You definitely feel remote and tucked away with the deer roaming in the mornings across the property. Absolutely STUNNING great room and dining room. We loved these areas as a family SO MUCH. This home is more spacious than the photos can show and is very very clean. Everyone was happy and very cozy!
