Our dramatic 2.7 acre mountain lot and cabin is ready for adventurous Colorado vacationers. We purchased this property, adjacent to ours, so we could renovate the old cabin and turn it into the perfect vacation home so others can experience this amazing corner of Colorado.
This property offers everything travelers come to Colorado to enjoy; amazing views of the Cimarron and Sneffles ranges, a beautiful (seasonal) mountain stream, lush aspen and ponderosa trees, meadows and end of the road seclusion.
This home offers two bedrooms, two bathrooms, separate den/sitting area that opens to a deck, a living room, kitchen and dining room that walks out to another deck. Truly amazing views from every room.
*Getting Here* if youre flying, Montrose airport is only 1 hr away, Grand Junction is 2 hrs and Denver is 6.5 -7 hrs.

Rick was very welcoming and responsive. Called to give us a heads up about snow also. We didn’t get to enjoy the sauna, but did enjoy the hot tub. The cabin itself was great and the views fantastic!!

This home was perfect! My son and I had a great time. All the amenities were excellent! The host was great, and the privacy was excellent as well! We would definitely recommend this home to others; we will be back. The sunrise and views from the deck were gorgeous, many stars at night. The hot tub and sauna were very relaxing.This place is great for one or two days but would have liked to stay longer.Hope everyone enjoys this place as we did.Thanks, you have a great home!

Beautiful views, quant cabin, excellent host. We enjoyed our trip and the cabin had lagniappe to make it even better than expected. Cozy heaters and blankets, a humidifier (southern folks need this!), towels/robes/spa slippers for the sauna and jacuzzi, a book with area suggestions…a lot of thought was put into making this place very welcoming. Def recommend :)

The hot tub at anytime was magical but at night with a dark sky… it was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. The location is perfect, the view is spectacular and the owner was a gem to work with. The sauna was an awesome addition and we enjoyed it. The welcome binder and all the suggestions with menus was a nice touch and super helpful. It was an incredible trip.

Wow what a beautiful place! The cabin was clean and cozy. We really enjoyed spending time soaking in the hot tub or relaxing in the sauna. And that view of the mountains is breathtaking! This was perfect for our stay. 10/10!

Another great stay at this amazing property. Rick is a fabulous host. The views from this property are what sets this cabin apart from all other properties. Plus the birds and other animals that we saw made it even more special. There are cabins and then there is a special cabin. This cabin is definitely special.

We had the most amazing time at the Cannon Creek Cabin. The views were stunning, the cabin was clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed getting up early and watching the sunrises. This place is definitely worth the 10 rating! Also, Ridgway and Ouray are close by with lots of good food and shops, plus Box Canyon Falls and The Million Dollar Highway. You will truly enjoy every minute at this cabin.

This was, by far, the best girl's weekend you could ask for! The views are stunning. No verbal description or picture can do justice to the real thing, but Rick's description of the property is spot on. They have really thought of everything you could possibly want or need for your stay. I'd like to say it sucked so I could keep this location all to myself, lol, but that would be a lie and a huge disservice to our amazing host! We will be back! Don't know when, but we will be back. Thank you!

Lets start by saying this is an amazing property. My wife and I loved this cabin.The accommodations for this property are exactly as advertised. It's super clean, well stocked, and provides spectacular views of the surroundings mountains and valley. There are so my things to love about this place, but my absolute favorite feature is the deck that wraps around part of the cabin. We loved sitting outside and enjoying the fresh air and taking in the natural sights and sounds this area has to offer. I have stayed in many vacation rentals over the years and this one is by far my favorite. The property owner was fantastic to work and was very responsive with any and all questions I had. If you are planning a trip to the San Juans and need a quite place to stay thats only mins from Ridgeway and Ouray, this property provides a great place to getaway to the mountains of beautiful Colorado.

Beautiful View, peaceful and restful

The cabin had so many windows to look out to the amazing mountains and tree-filled valley. The owners had comfortable chairs in four different outside venues.

A great hideaway!

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and were blown away with the property! The views are fantastic, the house itself is updated and has all the amenities you’d need, and Rick was super helpful. The hot tub views are incredible. I highly recommend staying here!

I've been drawn to the mountains since I was a kid. I was finally able to build my dream mountain home here in Elk Meadows in 2008. Because I was here on a part time basis, I started renting it on VRBO until I moved up here full time around 2012. Since that time I have been managing many other properties here in Elk Meadows with great successes.

Last year my wife and I finally purchased the property next door to our home and have landscaped to showcase the stream and forest, spruced up the cabin with all new appliances, furnishings and beautiful décor, and we are ready to start inviting guests.
I have been wanting to own this property for years because of its amazing panoramic views, priceless babbling mountain stream, beautiful secluded meadow and end of the road privacy.

Dramatic mountain and valley views, falling asleep while listening to the mountain stream 20 feet from the windows, abundant wildlife, proximity to Ridgway (9 miles), Ouray (19 miles), Telluride (50 miles). Unlimited hiking, mtn biking, off-roading and so many fun restaurants, bars and shopping in Ridgway and Ouray.
