Inside, you'll find a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, and all the dishes and utensils needed to cook a meal. Enjoy your culinary creations at the bar seating for four or at the table that also seats four. Relax in two cozy sitting areas, including a TV lounge with a couch and chair. The bunk nook features a comfortable loveseat, perfect for curling up with a good book. A gas wall heater ensures a cozy atmosphere during cooler fall or winter nights. The studio has been freshly painted and decorated with new dĆ©cor, mattresses, linens, and furniture. Itā€™s meticulously maintained and super clean, reflecting the love and care the owners have put into it.

Outside, surround yourself with magnificent live oaks, hydrangeas, azaleas, and palms. Multiple outdoor seating areas invite you to unwind and soak in the natural beauty. Fish from the dock, tie up your boat for easy access, or launch kayaks and canoes to explore the Davis Canal, which connects to the ICW. Located just two blocks from the S Middleton Ave bridge, youā€™re a short 4-minute bike ride, 10-minute walk, or quick golf cart ride away from the beach. Enjoy a refreshing outdoor shower and relax in the covered/enclosed seating area. Convenient parking for up to 2 cars is available and an area to park a boat trailer.

The rear of the studio hosts the main sitting area and a king-size bed, surrounded by windows offering picturesque views of the lush backyard filled with beautiful trees, palms, and flowers. Itā€™s a romantic and calming space with a coastal chic dĆ©cor. The bathroom is equipped with a shower, toilet, and sink (note: no washer or dryer)

Moonshine Creek is located on the Davis Canal and has access to the Intracoastal Waterway. The Canal is navigable at low tide. Guest can tie their boats up over night on the Dock that is on the Canal. There is an area at the end of the driveway to park a boat trailer. There are multiple public boat launches that provide access to the ICW ->Davis Canal. Guest are encouraged to have an active NC Fishing Licenses.

Great value for the money! Place was perfect. Kids enjoyed fishing and using the crab traps. They caught/released crab, shrimp, and flounder. Great views both morning and sunset from the dock. Short walk to the beach and walking distance to a convenience store. Appreciated the welcome snacks and note. Will be coming back!

Very clean interior. Lots of places to sit and enjoy the waterway in the backyard. Can easily put in your own kayaks off the floating dock. We didnā€™t have a boat but we sat on the dock each night to watch the sunset and look at the stars. Easy walk to the beach. Very quiet property. They even had a little care package of snacks and a card waiting for us! Would definitely stay here again!

Moonshine Creek was exactly as expected....and then some! The owners have done a really nice job of creating a vacation spot that is peaceful and tidy. What else do you need?? Upon checking in late in the evening, the WiFi would not work but it was quickly resolved after a text message to the property owners. We'll certainly be back again!

First Vacay to Oak Island

This property was a perfect location for the two of us. We loved fishing and sitting on the property's private dock in the early morning and evening. We walked (10 Min.) to the beach. If you can take a bike or beach wagon, those items would be helpful in getting you to the beach and back a bit faster. There are pay to park areas throughout the island. It's DEFINITELY worth the 6 mile drive to THE POINT on the west end of the island. Go early for parking and pay electronically. The property was CLEAN and had everything we needed. Communication with owner was quick and helpful. Easy check in!! Nice, quiet neighborhood. We hope to return again.
