Two bed town house with plunge pool in Porters

No 9 Porters Gate is an air conditioned villa located in a small gated community amongst fragrant gardens with a tennis court, communal pool and clubhouse. Our superb two bedroom villa with en suite bathrooms is only a short walk to the fabulous Alleyne beach.

The spacious ground floor is open plan leading onto a tropical patio with it's own plunge pool. The modern kitchen is ideal for conjuring up those Caribbean culinary delights. Choose to eat at either the breakfast bar or at the dining table or maybe dine outside where you may spot a monkey on the fence or a humming bird hovering at the Hibiscus! Relax on comfortable sofas and maybe watch TV or listen to your favourite track on the blue tooth speaker. The master bedroom has a super king sized bed, balcony, dressing room and en suite wet room. The second bedroom has twin beds (or zipped together to form a super king) balcony and en suite bathroom with a walk in shower and marble vanity unit.

We aim to make your stay on the island as pleasurable and trouble free as possible - to this end our team will oversee your stay at Porters Gate.

We arrange a once weekly maid / cleaning service with fresh linen provided. Additional maids' visits can also be arranged along with taxi / car hire should the requirement be needed. A taxi can also be arranged to meet you at the airport if you do not wish to hire a car. Our local representative will discuss any requirements you may have when you arrive and will always be on hand to help with any queries or recommendations you may have. Any additional services you may wish to use will be charged for locally.

Please note that the check in time is after 15.30pm and check out time is 11.00am. The check out time is flexible unless we have guests arriving on the same day. Please discuss with our property manager during your stay who will be more than happy to assist where possible.

We had a great stay overall and would happily return. The property was exactly as described, clean, well maintained, and in a quiet, convenient location that made it easy to enjoy the area.There was a mix-up on arrival and the property wasn’t quite ready for us, but the local property manager was very responsive, took ownership of the issue, and resolved everything quickly. We appreciated how professionally it was handled.Once that was sorted, everything went smoothly and we really enjoyed our time here. A great spot for a relaxing stay in Barbados.

Wendy and Richard provided us with a fantastic villa to stay for our weeks holiday as a family of four. The villa was spotless and had excellent facilities including a large selection of towels, good showers, nice spacious and air con fitted rooms and a beautiful outdoor area with plenty of seating. We had a lovely time at 9 Porters Gate and would definitely recommended this property due to its great location, hosts, and what it offers. The housekeeper Marcia was also great at keeping in contact throughout our visit and ensured we were well equipped throughout our stay - thank you!

Apart from the nearby building work - a super stay. Excellent House Manager and House Keeper looked after us well. being able to walk to beach and bars was a real plus.

Comfortable stay in good location

We enjoyed our month at Porters the accommodation was comfortable and outside plunge pool and sitting area very welcome on some hot afternoons. Quiet well maintained complex and although there was some building work nearby it didn’t affect us. We hope to return in the future.

Lovely stay at 9 Porters Gate

Lovely and spacious, great location and a short walk to the nearest beach. The Plunge pool was fantastic, a great outside space to relax. Very well decorated and great hosts. All the amenities you’d ever need. Thanks to Wendy and Marcia for their great communication.

A little gem

Thank you for a fabulous stay. A lovely house within walking distance of the beaches, bars and restaurants. The area is quiet and tranquil, house is very clean and has everything you need. The photos don't do it justice. Small garden with plunge pool a bonus, although we spent most of our time at the beach. Both Wendy and Marcia were very helpful and communication was excellent. Thank you!

Another amazing holiday !

From start to finish we had an amazing stay at no:9. The property has everything you could possibly need and more. It was beautifully clean and well maintained. The plunge pool is just perfect and the little garden such a nice place to sit and soak up the sun. The location is ideal, quiet but within walking distance of the beach and some bars and restaurants. Our communication with both the owners and Marcia was perfect, questions answered swiftly and Marcia on hand on site if we had any issues, she was so welcoming. This wasn’t our first visit and I suspect it won’t be the last !

Porters Gate Retreat

The property was very clean and well maintained. The layout was a perfect place for two couples to share. All the essentials and more were supplied. The location of the property was very convenient as it was only minutes away from the bus stop and a fifteen to twenty minute walk to Holetown. The owner, Wendy, was quick to respond to any queries and the property manger, Rachel, was very friendly and helpful and she made us feel comfortable as soon as we arrived. We look forward To returning to this wonderful townhouse.

Perfect

We had a wonderful stay at Porters, the complex was lovely and quiet with private access. Marcia our property manager was on hand if we had any issues and was very helpful. Wendy the owner was also lovely to deal with.The communal area was fantastic. Many of things was in walking distance but we had a car so was able to get around much easier. Would have preferred air conditioning throughout and not just the bedrooms but it didn’t put me off. Would I return? ABSOLUTELY!

FANTASTICO!!!

Definitely was the best 1st stay in Barbados at the right location and definitely right house!!! Cant wait to come back again! MARCIA was the best very tentative and checked on me and I just love the cleanliness and all the information and instructions left to make things smooth and easy! But I have to thank Ryan Marshall for the ride from the airport but a Big shoutout to Nicholas Alleyne for helping me every day to get around and bringing me back safely! The only downside was i didn’t book it long enough 😉BUT I WILL BE BACK!!!!!

Bajan adventure

We thoroughly enjoyed our ten days in beautiful Barbados while residing at this property. The owners were a dream to deal with and Marcia, the property manager, was kind and responded to all our questions and needs. Given we stayed in July, we were so grateful to have the lovely plunge pool out back to cool off in the evenings after our trek to the beach. Be careful walking to the beach, sidewalks are limited and traffic is non-stop. Thank you to all the incredibly kind Bajan people we encountered on our many excursions who readily answered our questions and redirected us when we were lost. Special shout out to Jason who took us to and from the airport and toured us around the island. He was professional, knowledgeable and kind. Would recommend this property to others!

Spacious and comfy

We stayed a week at the villa and found it to be spacious; clean; comfortable; and in an ideal location for us. The pictures were accurate. It also has all of the creature comforts you need if you want to cook or make drinks. AC works well, no issues. Ample fans. Plenty of towels. The plunge pool was glorious. Watched the sunset from the main bedroom balcony. If you are ok with taking the bus, the stops are a short walk from the villa. Beach is about 5-7 min walk. The owner alerted us about possible construction work in the area. Minimal noise. No major disturbance. Ryan's Happy grocery store and the bakery about a 10 min walk. Marcia the property manager was excellent. She was responsive to all of our requests and arranged transport for us. We had a wonderful time. Would book again.

6 star property!

What a wonderful experience from beginning to end. Wendy was an exceptional host. If I could give 6 stars I would. Having been let down by another VRBO host I contacted Wendy who was efficient and so helpful . I valued her quick response times and extra detail from car hire suggestions Stoutts to restaurants Local & Co .etc The property photos really reflect the care of the property and it’s high standard of maintenance and presentation. The extra personal touches in so many ways really made a difference from lovely bedding , towels for pool and beach , a fantastic room to wash off sand and cream up and a well equipped kitchen. The ice machine was most appreciated ! The outside area and plunge pool was a bonus and one that made it such a relaxing area to chill. Worth every penny ! The location being able to walk to the bakery plus a little convenience shop , Lonestar and a great beach made its position perfect ! Our 2 week stay was perfect ! I would highly recommend this property . Look forward to returning one day. Thank you Wendy and Richard

A Villa With Everything

The villa is in a really well-kept complex in a quiet position about 300 yards from the main road. The furnishings, and especially the pictures and knick-knacks, are all in lovely taste and the villa is kept immaculately clean. The patio area with the plunge pool is perfect with colourful shrubs and bushes attracting humming birds, bees and butterflies - it was very peaceful and nicely shaded for most of the day. I won't describe the facilities and equipment as it's fair to say that I couldn't think of anything that wasn't there, from cool boxes to beach chairs to plug adaptors to glasses of every sort. Brilliant! The villa is bright, airy and really spacious and was a lovely relaxing place to come back to after a day at the beach or a hard day's shopping. I really think that you need a car if you stay here. It may be a 10 minute walk to the nearest sea but this is a very thin piece of sand affected by the tides. The nearest 'proper' beach is a 20 minute walk, most of which is alongside the main road. There is a bus stop just at the bottom of the lane from the villa so that is great for trips to Holetown, Bridgetown etc if you don't have a car. We would really recommend 2 restaurants on the beach about 15 minutes walk north from the villa. Ju Jus is right on the beach and is cheap and cheerful, whereas Lone Star is very classy and beautiful as well as very expensive!

Fab stay at Porters Court

Everything was great! A real homely feel and great facilities. We had a car which would be recommended here although you can still walk or bus to places. Michaela was fab and dealing with Wendy and Richard was also a great experience! Top marks!

This was our first stay at 9 Porters Gate and it definitely won't be our last. Can't wait to go back

My wife and I spent a fantastic week at this wonderful property. This was our second trip to Barbados and our first stay at 9 Porters gate. We found this location to be much better than our previous location. The owners Wendy and Richard along with Rachel the property manager are all excellent to deal with. The property location is great and in walking distance to the beach and fantastic restaurants. The home has everything you need. It's a great open concept and you get a wonderful breeze with the doors opened. We spent most of our time at the beach and watched some amazing sunsets. In the evening we would relaxing by the private plunge pool. Our only regret was not booking for a second week but we will be back!

Lovely two weeks in Portersgate

Very plaisant stay. The website and reviews really do reflect accurately this very comfortable and well equipped villa. Rachel did a great job in welcoming us and answering our questions. We particularly enjoyed our game tennis every morning and the small pool. The gated housing underwent a transformation whilst we were there as significant work was done on the gardens. We will be back!

West coast Barbados

This was our second stay at 9 porters gate, everything was perfect, the location for us is great as we walk to the beach and take the bus from the end of the street to get to Holetown for bars and restaurants.
