An acclaimed photographer's country home, near private schools!

These young married couples, ten people in all, were ideal guests. They loved our house and left it in perfect shape on their departure. The kitchen was spotless and everything was put back where they found it. It is a pleasure to share our lovely home with such conscientious and appreciative guests.

The Shahid family were wonderful renters and seemed to have enjoyed our house. Except for some dirty towels and bathroom rugs, they left the house very clean and neat. The refrigerator was spotless. We usually do not rent to families with more than two children. These two families had five young children who were to be watched by a babysitter while the parents were at a reunion. Fortunately they were able to bring a grandmother along to help, which made me feel more comfortable. The house is our second home and has recently been expensively renovated with no view to renting it. For this group of six adults and five children, we did feel that we had to make up some rules to assure that no expensive repairs or cleaning would have to be charged back to the renters. One spilled soda on the $2000 couch could have cost them hundreds in cleaning fees. Thus no food or drink outside of the dining areas. I'm sorry they felt this was oppressive. We enjoy sharing our beautiful house and hope the renters enjoy it too.
