Nestled in beautiful Cavendish, Prince Edward Island, Bay Point Cottage offers the perfect blend of convenience and peaceful seclusion. Although we’re just minutes from the Cavendish Boardwalk, our private 1 km driveway brings you to a serene 4‑acre river‑view property surrounded by trees — an ideal setting for families to relax, reconnect, and recharge.

Designed with multiple families in mind, Bay Point features **4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms**, including:
- **Two master bedrooms** with queen-sized beds
- A bedroom with a double bed
- A bedroom with bunk beds (double on the bottom)
- A **daybed** and a **large pull‑out couch**
- A cozy **bunkie** with three single beds

With **two living areas**, **two fully equipped kitchens**, **laundry**, and over **2200 sq. ft.** of indoor space (plus expansive decks), there’s room for everyone to unwind comfortably.

Enjoy a front deck overlooking the parking area and **two large back decks** complete with tables and seating. The **hot tub**, located just off the back deck, offers a beautiful view of the river and the nearby bonfire pit — perfect for peaceful evenings under the stars.

Krista is a lovely host and we enjoyed being close to Cavendish but not too close.

Exceeded all expectations!!

We were a group of four senior golfers looking for a home base for a week of golf and found the Bayview Cottage. This place was perfect for us. Central but isolated, very spacious but cosy at the same time and every convenience at hand! We would definitely return. Thanks for having us.

Even Better Than Advertised!

The cottage is lovely - so much space, clean, and comfortable. It's on a beautiful property which is very private and quiet. The cottage has everything you need like beach towels, umbrellas, kitchen appliances (including a dishwasher!), washer/dryer, games, books, movies, a canoe and kayak, AND a hot tub. Krista was lovely and helpful! I highly recommend this cottage. The photos don't do the property or cottage justice - it's even better than it looks.

This was a very memorable trip for our family and the cabin was a special part of that. We really enjoyed the seclusion and treed property for the quiet and calmness it gave. The inside was nice and rustic with the wood floors and walls but it was all comfortable and clean and easily fit our family of 6 with the grandparents and 1 child 5 yrs old. Everyone had their own corners to chill in if you wanted or various places outside like the dock, firepit or hot tub. It was such a great location as well being close to everything we were interested in like Anne of Green Gables in Cavendish and soo close to the beaches. We really want to come again to have time to go in the canoe and enjoy the fire pit more nights. This is definitely a place we could dig-in to for a few weeks. Thanks so much Krista for sharing this gem :)

This cottage is the perfect setup for multiple families/friends staying under one roof during vacation. The layout provided plenty of space for everyone while still allowing areas to relax and have privacy when needed.My father-in-law, who has two prosthetic legs, was able to navigate the home and portions of the property with ease. We especially appreciated that one of the main-floor bathrooms was very accessible and worked well for wheelchair use.Having two kitchens was a fantastic feature. We used one as a beverage/snack kitchen and the other as our main cooking space, which made things much more convenient for a larger group. The two living rooms were also a wonderful addition, giving everyone the option to gather together or enjoy some separate downtime.The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed, the beds were comfortable, and the home was very clean. The host was incredibly welcoming, kind, and helpful throughout our stay.Overall, this was a beautiful place to relax, recharge, and enjoy quality time with family. The sunsets were absolutely breathtaking and made this home an unforgettable spot to unwind.Located just a 7 minute drive to the board walk in Cavendish. Great & private location.

Superbe séjour

Très belle résidence située dans un endroit calme et isolé, nous donnant accès à un point d'eau pour faire du Canot et kayak. La localisation est centrale sur l'île, à 5 minutes de cavendish et à 40 minutes des grandes villes. Krista, la propriétaire nkus a donné un super accueil et à toujours été disponible pour répondre à nos questions tout au long du séjour. Nos 2 familles de 8 personnes, dont 4 enfants de 5 et 7 ans avaient suffisamment d'espace. Je lre recommande

A Hidden Gem on This Beautiful Island!!

We were a family of 8 people, including 5 adults, 2 teenagers and a toddler. The cottage was everything we expected and more. Plenty of room, fully equipped with everything we could possibly need. We listened to the birds on the river every morning. We walked the 1 km driveway to visit the neighbour's cows every day. We sat by the fire-pit and admired the stars every evening. The cottage was quiet and peaceful and centrally located for many wonderful island activities. We enjoyed Cavendish Beach, Cavendish Boardwalk, Mini-Putt, Green Gables, Avonlea Village, Cows Ice Cream, Fisherman's Wharf Lobster Suppers in Rustico, PEI Preserves, and the Toy Factory, which were all less than 30 minutes drive from the cottage. The cottage hostess was absolutely wonderful and so very helpful in making our summer vacation so memorable. We highly recommend this beautiful property.

Truly a Home Away From Home

The cottage is well located to be your starting point to anywhere on the Island, and very close to lots of great things to see and experience. The cottage is extremely well appointed and well equipped. The landlady is delightful.

“Hideaway” close to everything

This property is all that is described and then some. At one point we had our entire extended family staying and with four bedrooms, three bathrooms and 2 kitchens to work from all eight of us were very comfortable. Hammock, horseshoes, fire pit, badminton, ring toss, kayak, canoe, etc.. were on hand to enjoy as well as BBQ, deck with tables and chairs, ....... We really could not think of anything that we would have changed or added. It was quiet yet very close to Cavendish. No it’s not on the beach but is on a river and Cavendish is just down the road. You won’t be disappointed.

Awesome!!

The cottage was amazing! We enjoyed kayaking and canoeing the Hope River, even found some geocaches along it!! We were very close to all the fun activities Cavendish has to offer. To top it all off we couldn’t have asked for better weather! Very secluded property we highly recommend if you are looking for privacy!
