Our family had a fantastic stay. The children loved the swimming pool and easy access to the beach. The house met our needs for space and meal preparation. the host was very accessible with our questions.

Beautiful spot. Fantastic pool. (A hot tub would be a great addition and for some reason we thought there was one but possibly not reasonable for the numbers.). Spacious and comfortable but we did miss not all being able to sit at one table for main meals. Washer and dryer were most convenient. I think it was unusually warm during our week there; so, the fans were wonderful with no air conditioning. It very much suited our needs and we had a wonderful time.

The place was as advertised and even better in many respects. We had a wonderful weekend here. All facilities were nearby including groceries, restaurants, etc.

Family Holiday

We had a great time on our trip to PEI. The home fit our large group of 10 . Lots of fun things to do in the house for the kids and the pool was amazing! Home was very clean and well decorated. Would go back for sure!

Great Location with a Pool

We stayed here as a family (grandparents, and two daughters with spouses and their children) and it was a fantastic property with a large pool with diving board and a slide, which got lots of use. The children also enjoyed the toys and dress up clothes available. North Rustico beach is lovely and just a ten minute drive away.

The Barachois Beach Family Retreat was beautiful, spacious, clean and close to all amenities. Communication with the host was quick and helpful. It was as described in the listing. As we were a large group of 7 we really enjoyed the seating areas. Lots of room for eating, relaxing and playing games as a group. The bedrooms were very nicely decorated and very comfortable. Lots of towels, beach towels, very nice laundry room. The beautiful beach is just down the road! Absolutely stunning!

Girls’ Weekend

A group of 5 spent a long winter weekend in this lovely home. The house was spacious and bright and the propane fireplace did a great job of keeping us all warm and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable and the basement space provided a totally separate living area. The host was very helpful, responsive and accommodating. We had a wonderful time!

Wonderful! Fresh and homey without the cliche air-bnb feeling! Our group travels in May, so the pool wasn't operational yet, but beautiful beaches are just a short drive away. Absolutely Clean, with lots of windows (except the basement) overlooking the surrounding yard's morning critters and evening sunsets.We didn't use the fireplace because the weather was fabulous. Perhaps next time.The beds were very comfortable with everything we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked for our breakfast chef's needs and our evening cocktail hours.Our one issue was not being able to get the coded door lock to immediately work for us, twice. Not sure what we were doing wrong or right . Will definitely book again!

Loved our stay!

Beautiful home near Barachois Beach, a hidden gem! Owner was attentive and responsive. The pool was perfect for cooling off during the PEI heat wave. Close to North Rustico. Our party was 12 adults and 2 children ages 6 and 8. The host provided board games, toys and outdoor games. Lots of room to run. We enjoyed watching the sunset and sitting around the fire pit.

Amazing

House has large yard for games, running around, fire pit ( it was way too windy this time but perfect last year), kids & adults loved the pool, very centrally located, about 25 min to Charlottetown and Summerside. About 20 minutes to Cavendish. Rooms are large, beds are comfortable. Kitchen is beautiful, lots of room and open to large family room. Anytime we vacation in PEI, we will be booking this house again!

We stayed here for about 5 days and I must say we enjoyed every day there the pool was great to have and it was important for us to have separate areas for the family!! Everyone had there private section of the house. We celebrated our 50 th wedding anniversary and it was important that there was enough room for our large family!! I would not nit pick on anything that we experienced, there will always be issues and they helped in any way they could

Rustico gem

Very nice, clean, modern house. We were nine adults. Plenty of room. The basement has a games area ( board games, dominoes, etc ). The basement also has a room with toys and costumes for youger kids if that applies. Large wrap around deck. Ten minutes from North Rustico and a fairly well equipped grocery store. Kitchen and bathrooms are equipped with everything you need.

Our family of 13, Ten adults and three children had plenty of room to be together but also have some alone time lol. Great location. Everything seemed to be close by. Gallants Country Store is just down the road & around the corner & carries a great selection of items. Kitchen was well stocked with plates, glasses, cups, cutlery, ect. Would suggest maybe a medium sized frying pan as it was either an 8" or a deep sided 12", nothing in between. The pool was a wonderful addition to our stay. Hard to keep the kids & adults out of it. Lots of outdoor area to play and the firepit was super! Will definitely be booking again if/when we return to PEI

Amazing stay in PEI

A Family Paradise: Our Barachois Beach Retreat Our recent stay at the VRBO Barachois Beach family retreat on Prince Edward Island was nothing short of magical. The property was absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of the ocean and a serene, peaceful atmosphere. The house itself was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The pool was especially perfect for the kids! The kids loved playing on the beach and exploring the nearby tide pools. We also enjoyed taking leisurely walks along the shore and watching the beautiful sunsets. The location was perfect, with easy access to local attractions and restaurants. The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. They provided us with great recommendations for things to do and were always available to answer any questions we had. If you're looking for a relaxing and unforgettable family vacation, I highly recommend the Barachois Beach family retreat. It's the perfect place to unwind, create lasting memories, and experience the beauty of Prince Edward Island.

This was our third year renting this property from Katie. Always a great time for our Family holiday. Private, yet close to Cavendish, Summerside & Charlottetown. Any minor issues ( propane for BBQ ) are handled promptly, as Property Manager is close by.Large pool is a bonus as something for kids to do all the time if you do not feel like crowds.Highly recommend for anyone wanting to stay on PEI!The Culmer Clan

The Barachois Beach House was a great property for our family getaway. The kitchen had all the utensils we needed to cook large family meals. We put the coffee bar to good use and appreciated having a small fridge for other beverages.All of us slept well and found the beds very comfortable. The house was well supplied with body wash, dish soap, laundry detergent, essential spices, and other essentials.I would definitely recommend the Barachois Beach house to other travellers.

The Barachois Beach house was great! It was spacious & clean, the kitchen was well-stocked, and the beds were very comfortable. Property was large with all the amenities required for a good stay, and the host promptly answered any questions we had. The only improvements that could have made things even better was that the pool could have been warmer, and the lock on the front door was a bit confusing to figure out. But overall, it was a lovely house and we had a great vacation there!
