Come and stay at a private Cabin in the pines overlooking the Clearwater River in Orofino, Idaho. You will experience end of the road privacy in a wilderness setting in a Cabin with contemporary furnishings and amenities. It is truly a unique lodging experience in the Clearwater River Valley.

Although you will feel like you are a million miles from anywhere, the Cabin is located just 5 miles from downtown Orofino.

There are lots of things to do in the area. Hunting, fishing, boating, floating, hiking, swimming, shooting, and ATVing are some popular pastimes. There are also lots of local activities to enjoy: the Clearwater County Fair and Logging Show; Farmers Market; Car Show & Shines; Weippe Rodeo; Spring Roundup; Holiday Craft Show; Banquets; Parades; 4th of July Fireworks Show and more. There are unique stores to explore downtown, a bowling alley, movie theater, several restaurants, beauty salons and more.

The Cabin is located just 5 miles from downtown Orofino and the Clearwater River where you can find great steelhead and salmon fishing. It is located just 10 miles from Dworshak Reservoir where you will find great kokanee and bass fishing. Travel just 30 minutes to thousands of acres of public and pay hunting land.

After all of your adventures, relax in a peaceful setting at the cabin on one of the decks or sit by the bonfire. The cabin has a loft queen bedroom and two queen sleeper sofas with extra thick mattress pads.

If relaxing and getting away from it all is what you crave, look no further. You will experience complete privacy at the Cabin in a County with no stoplights, traffic jams or waiting lines. Just make sure to bring your camera because the photographic beauty is endless.

Please be advised that the Cabin is a fine lodging establishment for a maximum of six people and is not a suitable event venue. We want everyone to enjoy their stay, however, large parties are not allowed. Our rates are based on double occupancy so there are extra guest fees for more than two people. Also note that the last mile of the drive is a gravel road so you might not want to drive your prized low profile vehicle here.

Quiet cabin in the woods

This was our third time staying and once again enjoyed our stay. The cabin is the perfect place to come back to after long days out fishing. Kitchen is well stocked and with the grill out back you can easily make a grilled steak with mashed potatoes, steamed broccoli and corn on the cob. In the evening he wood fire place makes for a cozy movie night.

Awesome cabin

We have stayed in many VRBO rentals and this is one of the top ones. Very relaxing and in the middle of nowhere. The furniture is very comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked with high quality kitchenware. We enjoyed coming back after a day on the lake knowing we would have a great comfortable place to stay. The nightly fires in the fireplace were a plus. We are already planning our next visit.

Your hosts are Lyle and Kathy Hendricks. Lyle is an accomplished machinist and with Kathy by his side, they own and operate Hendricks Manufacturing, Inc. Lyle is originally from Wisconsin and Kathy from Connecticut. They met at the Sun ā€˜n Fun Airshow in Lakeland, Florida, got married in Moose Pass, Alaska and lived in the Los Angeles area before moving to Orofino in 2003. They met through their love of aviation and enjoy flying and traveling in their 1965 Mooney M20E in addition to hunting, fishing, back country four-wheeling and camping and generally loving the outdoors. The cabin has been their labor of love in Orofino and they are proud to finally be able to share it with the rest of the world.

The cabin is located on the property next to our primary residence so we are close by if you need anything.

We love the location of our properties because we are close to the Clearwater River, Dworshak Reservoir and just 60 minutes from the Clearwater National Forest.

We are on 50 very private acres at the end of the road yet we are only 5 miles from downtown Orofino and our airplane which is based at the Orofino Airport.

O que faz essa propriedade ser Ćŗnica?

We love all the privacy and space on the property. There is always some sort of wildlife to view on the property. Frequent visitors are whitetail deer, coyotes, turkey, eagles, hawks and pheasant. We often spot elk however they are a bit more elusive. We have seen black bear on the property, but it is a rare and delightful treat.

There is something to enjoy about each of the four seasons. Spring brings long days; lush, green pastures and lots of wildflowers. We enjoy floating the Clearwater River in the hot summer. Our favorite, however, is Fall and Winter hunting seasons. Another Fall favorite is the start of bonfire season which begins October 21.
