Relax and enjoy the great water view from the living room in this newly remodeled vacation cottage located directly on Lake Ontario. Enjoy the sunsets in the evening and gather friends, family and loved ones around for a bonfire right on the lake.

Local attractions include Niagara Falls (60 minutes away), Brown's Berry Patch, Darien Lake Theme Park, Seneca Niagara Casino, and Golden Hill State park - with its famous lighthouse.

There are local farm stands and Amish grocery markets, with larger supermarkets located within 30 miles. Restaurants and shopping can be found within 20-30 miles.

Swimmers can access the waters of Lake Ontario from the rocky beach. There is plenty of grassy area for lawn games and picnics.

Lake side getaway

Meet our needs and was a acurate listing house was clean and fully stocked for cooking needs has a million dollar veiw if i had any thing to critique it would be the lack of television service and the lack of internet service but to be fair its adverted that its not available with rental. Overal a decent place to stay we enjoyed it

good and bad

Spectacular location with massive trees, nice lawn and Lake Ontario. 2 of our 3 nights were very buggy in the house, not ideal though bugs did not bite.

Not so serene cottage...

This property suffered severe damage from lake flooding in the spring and incessant rain since. There was a tree down in the yard and the yard was really torn up due to efforts to remediate the loss of shore. The cottage should have been taken off the rental market. Sadly there were also many isssues with the cottage itself and we spent most of our stay trying to work with the owner on fixes including a carpenter ant infestation. We had family commitments in the area with no other place to stay or we would not have spent even one night there. We vacated the property two days earlier than planned.

Adorable cottage on the shores of Lake Ontario

My husband and I stayed here for a family reunion that was held nearby. The cottage was cute, clean and had everything we needed during our stay. Lucille was a responsive host and offered helpful tips for our trip. We had a great time and would stay here again. PROS: Location - lakefront, beautiful, peaceful, quiet at night Beautiful views from the living room! 4 chairs and a little table (good condition) outside which we used every day to sit by the water Full and well equipped kitchen, 5G wifi, flat screen TV Cute little bunk room will sleep up to 3 kids Swings, seesaw and plenty of seating for a couple or small family in the kitchen and living room Stacked washer and dryer and grill, we didn't use either but they are nice to have All the lights and outlets were operational CONS: There is no A/C in this cottage. Probably not an issue most of the year, but it did get hot while we were there and it was stuffy inside until evening. We opened the windows and the cool lake breezes were helpful! Others have mentioned the bugs. They were out at dusk especially, but we kept the doors closed and there are screens on the windows so not a deal breaker for us. Bring bug spray, you are on the water! There is one tiny bathroom - it is cute but small with no counter space or tub. Not an issue for us, but more of an fyi. One of the couches had sagging cushions - we just sat on a pillow, which solved the problem. Overall, we loved this little cottage. Thank you, Lucille!

Very cute cottage, owner was very nice and checked in on us.

We had a lot of fun. The property was cute. The night time fires were amazing. House was stocked with all essential items. However there was thousands of dead bugs in all the windowsills and under the furniture. And the outside grass and foliage isn’t well maintained

Amazing Lake Side View

(+) right on the water, bonfire pit, cottage was clean with large open kitchen & living room area, pretty close to vineyards, light houses & Niagara Falls. (-) large slippery boulders at lake wall so swimming is difficult, Wi-Fi is iffy at best.

Picturesque

Had a fantastic stay at the lake house. We didn’t want to leave the sunsets and the waves. Such a great little spot that is away from any touristy areas. The inside of the house was recently updated and very quaint and cozy. Would highly recommend!

Enjoyed our trip!

Our family really loved the beautiful lakefront location. The house was very spacious, looked updated and had everything we needed. We took a day trip to Niagara Falls which was fun. Lucille was very quick to get back to us with any questions. Overall great experience!

Great relaxing stay

Our stay was in late September and was great for the relaxing time we were looking for. View of the Lake was terrific. Both from inside the cabin and out. The inside of the cabin was very nice and looked recently renovated.

Great stay and perfect location

Cottage looks small from the outside but inside was very spacious. Clean and open with lots of extra convenience items (pans, coffee, towels ,etc). Was a perfect homebase for us while we visited our parents.

Perfect weekend retreat

Breathtaking Sunsets

Cute cottage, just perfect for a family of three generations. Loved the large tables indoors and adequate room to cook in the kitchen. The lakeside area was so fun, because I could watch the kids swimming and kayaking, and we had wonderful campfires each night while watching gorgeous sunsets. The only drawback was a crazy amount of tiny bugs that put a damper on some activities like lawn games. Also, although I did manage to swim one day, as a senior citizen, it was very difficult to get in and out of the water.

Father's Day Weekend on the Lake

The views of the lake were absolutely magical and exactly what we were looking for in a rental. The outdoor fire pit was awesome allowing us to catch some gorgeous sunsets and make s’mores. Inside of the house was exactly what they showed on the website, the views of the lake from the living room were amazing, and the beds were really comfortable.

Perfect lakeside retreat

We had an amazing stay at the Hamptons North! What a treat to sit on the lakeshore watching the sun rise, then set at the end of a long day of paddling and wineries. The house itself was as lovely as the pictures, and everything was as expected. Make sure to visit the lighthouse at Golden Hill State Park a mile away, or simply paddle there in your kayak (We brought our own, but there are places nearby to rent them too). We will stay here again sometime in the future, and will tell our friends about it too!

Peaceful Getaway

We had an amazing and peaceful weekend getaway! We didn't leave the property the entire time. We sat by the water and just relaxed, and enjoyed the ample living room seating at night to relax and hang out. The only thing I would recommend is bringing any oils, spaces, pots, knives, or baking sheets you may need!

Great Location; A Little Buggy

The location and size of the home were perfect for our family. It was quiet and a great place to getaway right on the lake. One's ability to access the lake is fully dependent on the water conditions. The house is also only an hour from Niagra Falls, Buffalo and Rochester which can afford you some great day trips if you wish to take them. The only downside to the house is that the house was extremely buggy at times, particularly at night, and I would recommend for the owner to replace the windows and screen doors so that the bug situation is more easily controlled. I would also recommend for the owner to acquire new couches as the current couches are not particularly inviting. There is no A/C in the house so when hot and humid it can get a little uncomfortable but plenty of fans are left to cool the house down. Overall, great location to getaway but some minor improvements could make this a top notch cottage to rent.
