Has everything you need for a carefree stay. It’s a little smaller than the picture appears to present, but it’s fine. Nice craftsmanship throughout the apartment. Only suggestion I would make is to ditch the long table and replace it with a bar type counter across the window with bar stools. I think it would open that area up a bit. Great location and easy walking distance to all the sites in the historic district. Count on 10k to 12 steps to and from.

The room was quite small for what it looked like online. It was cozy for the 2 of us however the bathroom was just way too small. It seemed more like an efficiency apartment. The day we arrived was a beautiful day, there were a lot of screens missing on the windows, so we did not open them and most of the blinds and strings were broke.The coldest night "Halloween night " and we had NO heat at 54 Degrees freezing. We gathered all the bath/beach towels because there weren't any blankets and placed them on the bed to help keep us warm. Even tho the Owner was quick to try to help out with a repair man and we appreciated that. He ended up having to order a part that would take days. So, we were given 2 mini portable heaters with only 1 heater that worked. It just didn't seem like the get away Birthday I was expecting. We love St. Augustine and always dress up for the events at Halloween. This will not stop us from coming back, maybe just another place.

The unit was absolutely adorable! Perfect location with easy walking access to all key St. Augustine sites.Owner communication was extremely accommodating including excellent recommendations for site seeing and restaurants. Absolutely perfect!

Weekend getaway.

Linda was an excellent communicator and very prompt to address a minor issue we had. The location of this unit was an easy walk to everything in historic downtown St Augustine.. Remodeled, very clean and perfect for a couples get away. We would definitely rebook this unit or one of the many other units that she has. 5 Stars.

Walking distance from town

Small, charming apartment within walking distance from downtown St. Augustine. Linda was great to work with. Property is clean and has nice decor! The only downside is that we found the seating and bed quite uncomfortable.

Perfect Location!

We wanted to explore St. Augustine, particularly the historic district. Linda’s property was the perfect location - just on the edge of the district. It was close to everything, but also the right distance so it was quiet at night. Linda provided restaurant and site suggestions for exploration. She was also readily available for any questions we had.

Comfortable, convenient to stay when visiting St. Augustine

Mother/Daughter Getaway

This is the second time staying here and again it did not disappoint! We can literally walk everywhere and the space is clean, cozy, and quiet. The only recommendation I have is to put a sign on the garage parking spot that the space is for the above garage unit only. We left once and a large SUV parked there and we had to squeeze in.

My name is Linda Bayles. I have been a Realtor in the Jacksonville/St Augustine area ranking in the Top 1% of Agents since 1998. In 2005 I walked into a 1926 beach cottage direct oceanfront on St Augustine Beach and knew I had found my calling. I wanted to 'Create' a vacation space for Families. Large extended families. A place were Cousins, Grandmothers, Uncles and Aunts can comfortably come together to reconnect and enjoy each other away from the demands of the outside world. I come from a large family of 5 children as does my husband, Brad. Some of my fondest memories are when we all got together to just 'hang out' for 3 or 4 days. The little ones always come up with a 'play'. The adults always congregate in the Kitchen passing down the 'Family Recipes' to the next generation and playing Games. We are a big Game playing family. Specifically Rummikub. We start them at 5 and My Mother is still going at 95. If you have never played, you must. I make sure there is one in each house. Once you are hooked and have one of your own, I hope you will think of your St Augustine stay every time you play.

So I bought that 1926 Craftsman, gutted it and turned it into The Chautauqua which sleeps 21. It has been a rewarding success. In 2011, my Father expanded the tradition and bought 4 homes on one Oceanfront compound on 9th Street. We could not believe our luck and spent the next year remodeling them into The Seaside Cottages. We started renting them in June of 2012. The Best part is not only the homes but the BEACH. There are only 18 streets on the “Best Beach” - No cars. No Catwalk. The ocean right at your door. Great Restaurants within walking distance. Amazing.

And then I discovered the charm of Downtown St Augustine. At night it is like strolling in an old European City. So in 2016 I decide to moved Downtown and renovated 4 more Downtown Vacation Rentals. Ranging from 1 to 4 Bedrooms all walking distance of St George Street, the Center of Historic Downtown and all the Restaurants, Sights and Music and only 2 blocks from each other. Great for Downtown Weddings with the Bride taking one house and the Groom the other.
