Large Beach House for Bigger, Better Gatherings!

Folly is a magical sea island just 20 minutes from the Conde Naste #1 Tourist Destination in the USA: Charleston, S.C! In-Joy! Combine your pleasures of enjoying the ocean and a fabulous vacation destination, too! Open your heart & mind to an ocean of possibilities for your family reunion, gathering of friends, vacation retreat for small groups, or an intimate special event at this private beachhouse. A perfect location, one block from the beach, on a tidal creek with pristine marshlands views and Folly's natural bird sanctuary. This gorgeous home setting is on a unique street with cul-desacs on both ends, allowing a peaceful retreat just steps away from the ocean on the 'Edge of America', Folly Beach.

I maintain a small office space for the unique wellness amenity, the Harmonic Egg under the home, in which I work part-time, during daylight hours only. The Harmonic Egg is a sacred geometry light and sound chamber, and you can find out more at harmonicegg.com. It is completely separate from the house, with no entrance to the home, and sound proofed so that you will not be disturbed in any way. Owner parking will be on the front yard, where there is a small sign in the yard.

Excellent location for our family trip. Enjoyed time at the beach, the beach town itself, and trips to Charleston. Sitting by the firepit in the afternoon watching deer and drinking coffee was one of our favorite activities. Plenty of space for our 4 families to spread out and enjoy each other's company. Darlana was easy to communicate with and checking in was a breeze. Would love to come again!

A fun place to stay. So close to beach access and very walkable to main street shops and restaurants. The best part was we were able to use the golf cart to shuttle our family of 14 to restaurants and not have to pay for parking cars. Host was very accessible and accomodating to our requests.

I had a family member who complained about some areas needed dusting. also, the ac unit upstairs was very loud.other than that, my stay was very pleasant.Recommendation: HVAC system needs to be updated

Wedding stay

We came for a family wedding in Charleston and so glad we stayed here. We were able to make it a beach weekend too. Just a short walk from the house and the property has all the beach chairs and toys for everyone.

Family Wedding

The beach house was perfect for our family (9 adults and 4 children). We were in the area for a wedding and the location gave us some time to enjoy the beach and Folly Island while there. Darlana was great to work with and promptly answered any questions we had. Will definitely try to book for our next large family event!

A Perfect Beach House for a large family

This beach house was a perfect fit for our extended family of 12 ranging in age from 4 to 81. It is well furnished and equipped. It has a large screened porch where we spent most of our time together. It is a short walk to the beach. The owner is very gracious and welcoming.

Perfect for our Family Gathering

It was a great stay with comfortable beds for all and lots of towels and beach towels. Beach toys were available for our "littles". The golf cart was invaluable while cruising around Folly Beach. Parking was always an issue but having the cart made it all easier. We spent a lot of time on the beautiful front porch as well as the back deck. The screened in room was a perfect playroom for our grandchildren where they could be given a little independence while being safely enclosed. The owner was thoughtful and flexible and easy to reach with any questions. We would definitely stay here again when we return to Folly!

50th Celebration

We had a wonderful time in Folly Beach celebrating my wife’s 50th birthday. The weather was terrible which made the house that much nicer. Plenty of room, bathrooms galore and very cozy. We cooked all of our meals in the kitchen which had everything we needed. Darla was great to deal with and I would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location, beautiful beach

This place was beautiful. We stayed with 4 adult children and their partners--this never happens--no one had to sleep in a twin or bunk bed! The house was great, was literally 3 minute walk to the public access point of the beach, .75 miles into town, and mud flats for shark tooth hunting. Darlana was SO responsive and accommodating, I really couldn't have asked for more. highly, highly recommend.

A great location and relaxing stay

We had a lovely time here and were able to try relax and destress.Plenty of beach toys and the golf cart was super fun! The parking situation is spacious and plenty. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was nicely furnished. The only downsides were a toilet that didn't flush right, and an aggressive amount of mosquitoes inside. The doors and windows had very poor seals. As such every night we had to go on a bug hunt. My brother told me the upstairs AC wasn't sealed well at all through the window so we patched that up with some tape.A little bit of weather stripping (especially on the main floor deck door) would go a long way to help out an otherwise beautiful property and stay.I hope we come back and I'd stay here again for sure!

Lovely Home - Nice Owner - bad neighbors

The home was beautiful. Clean. Accommodated 10 of us comfortably with room to spare. Kid friendly. Only issue we had was with the annoying neighbors trying to report us for breaking the rules when we had not. They even went as far as to break out their video cameras while counting cars...the Owner handled it well though! Aside from that bit of stress it was a wonderful stay!

3 families - plenty of space - Love Folly beach and love this house!

This was a wonderful space for our 3 families to enjoy a Winter Beach Vacation while visiting for a gymnastics meet. We had 5 teenage girls and 6 adults. There was plenty of space to sleep, and to spread out. The Master bedroom with an attached screened-in porch was a dream for sleeping with the sounds of nature! We all enjoyed walking to the beach by day and strolling around town by night. Folley Beach had plenty to offer including a sandcastle festival, fun coffee shops, and restaurants. The owner was very accommodating, easy to work with, and very responsive. We loved Charleston, and look forward to the next time!

A Folly At Folly

Loved Folly Beach. Hiuse is large with various places to congregate which was a plus and enjoyable. Some maintenance issues resulted in problems of 3 guests getting stuck due to a stuck door lock. Door handles and other areas couldve been cleaned better plus various bulbs out. We really liked tge property but a few minor things needed attention.

wedding week

The house was everything we hoped it would be. Everything looked like it did in the pictures that were posted. We had multiple families staying here and plenty of places for them to get and not feel crowded. We also had a bridal luncheon for 15 people and it was wonderful. The bride and the bridesmaids had their hair fixed and relaxed before time for the wedding. It was the perfect place for everyone including the beach crowd and the men that were waiting for the big event. Dr. Darcy was wonderful and answered all our questions promptly. We would definitely recommend this property to everyone.

I Love Folly Beach! "Seaspirit" is a magical home, filled with love and Joy! At the Edge of America, in a fabulous beach town called home for many years this vintage town screams BEACH!! I started renting my house to help my son get through college...and he has graduated now!! Now I rent it out to be free to do more volunteer work, travel, and give back to my community! I'm as semi-retired psychotherapist and now I work as a real estate agent, helping families find their Dream Home near the beach and in Charleston! I love to walk on the beach and I love boogie boarding in the ocean every day of the summer. Having traveled to many beaches in the United States, Mexico, Greece, Carribbean, and even the Great Barrier Reef of Australia, Folly Beach remains my absolute favorite. The Secret: I LOVE the WAVES!!! Not too little, not too big, just right for body surfing, floating around, boogie boarding, skim boarding, and even real surfing. The sand is fine, with shell or shark tooth hunting as local favorites! At low tide, the many tidal pools are famous for toddler wading areas. Folly is home to many surfers & East Coast surf contests, with lessons available to beginners! Folly is a fun beach town, close to Charleston, which is the #1 tourist destination in America for so many reasons. Folly is best known for it's hospitality, beautiful beach, great seafood, and fun nightlife. The serene Lowcountry skies, with transformative sunrises and sunsets are all enchanting. An evening walk on the beach, on a moonlit night, with the moonbeans guiding your way and many stars shining their bright lights along the shoreline is memorable for all ages.
Only 20 minutes to Charleston, home to historical architecture and famous venues, Charleston is a "foodie town." Many chefs have received rewards for their innovative, and often Southern, "table to farm," cuisine. Boating and fishing are very popular, with boat captains available from Folly to Charleston, to enjoy dolphin watching, sports fishing, parasailing, jet skiis, kayaking, SUP, and water skiiing!
Charleston is a most popular wedding venue! An oceanfront wedding is a very special dream come true!
The magnificent plantations, with award winning gardens are home for tourists and events. Our town is filled with amazing supportive event services, such as catering and even horse drawn carraiges!
Lastly, we are home of the Yorktown, a public museum for all ages to witness the vast military ship, with a museum for military heros!
Charleston and Folly have something for everyone and for all ages! Come to a port of many possibilities!.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Awesome beach, just a block away. My house is unique in being just a block off the beach, but right on the marsh, so you can enjoy peace and quiet and all of the fun of a beach town, just down the street. Most people do not know this street exists on Folly--it is a quiet secret, so close to everything., and has cul-de-sacs at both ends, so traffic is very light. If you'd like to tour the island with a golf cart, be sure and book in advance: they will bring the cart directly to the house for you! NO PARTIES allowed!
