Spend your next family ski-cation at this sophisticated, two bedroom, dog-friendly condo in Government Camp featuring contemporary furnishings, a gas fireplace, a gourmet kitchen, and a heated garage. This home is also part of the Collins Lake Resort complex offering deluxe amenities including a shared pool, hot tub, and sauna.

This rental is just a mile from the Mt. Hood Adventure Park at Ski Bowl where you can ski and snowboard on 65 runs in winter and enjoy a host of warm weather activities in the summer including an Alpine slide, zip lines, horseback riding, and mini golf. After a day of outdoor excitement, head into town where you'll find the Mt. Hood Cultural Center and Museum as well as a number of shops, restaurants, and bars, all within walking distance of this condo.

Overall good stay. Love the toaster oven and well stocked kitchen. Only suggestions would be to have some smaller kid friendly dishes and a few large beach towels.

Staying at Collins Lake was a good jumping point for our week of skiing. The house stayed plenty warm and the heated garage was very much appreciated.

This stay has been a delightful series of disappointments. The property was advertised as having a microwave ā€” that small, modern convenience. But in reality? We found a relic from 2005 that clearly retired years ago. We noticed the ā€œfeatureā€ wasnā€™t working the moment we checked in on November 6th. Naturally, we contacted Vacasa, eagerly awaiting their renowned customer service, and hereā€™s what we got: crickets. No one on duty, no one sent. By the next day, we discovered they hadnā€™t even bothered to tell maintenance. Stellar efficiency, Vacasa! Then, the owner messaged us. Finally, some progress! Or so we thought. Instead, she cheerily informed us with, ā€œThings happen. I was not aware. Have a great day!ā€ In other words: ā€œI couldnā€™t be bothered to check this place before you arrived. Enjoy your stay!ā€ A memorable touch, to be sure. When someone finally showed up the next day, they triumphantly declared the microwave fixed, which was news to the microwave because it remained thoroughly broken. Turning on the fan didnā€™t suddenly make it functional ā€” just gave us some extra white noise. We pointed this out, and Vacasa generously promised a new microwave by the next day. Did that happen? Of course not! Why resolve an issue when you can just keep promising to? Oh, and as an added bonus, dirty towels greeted us on arrival ā€” because nothing says ā€œwelcomeā€ like laundry that hasnā€™t been touched.

Property was filthy and I could not stay.

I have stayed in several properties in Collins Lake - I typically rent directly through Collins Lake. This property was absolutely filthy. The couch was covered with a sheet of dog hair. I could not sit on it without covering it with a sheet. The interior stairs were also covered with hair and dirt. There was hair on the bed and in the bathroom. One of the bathroom toilets was not flushed and filled with feces. I arrived after 9pm, so I could not address the issues until the next morning. When I woke up in the morning with had bites and found bed bug shells on the bedroom carpet. I reached out at 6am that morning to Vacasa with the issues and did not receive any response all day. As a result I had to make other accommodations as I could not stay in the filth with the bugs, so I sent a message later that afternoon to say I had checked out due to the unresolved issues. I finally received a call back late in the day to tell me they would get in with pest control and to clean the place the following day. That was obviously too late as I was not spending another night in the property. I travel extensively and this was on of my worst experiences. To date, Vacasa has not provided a refund and I had to pay for additional accommodations. I would strongly suggesting booking properties directly through Collins Lake (which I usually do) and NOT through Vacasa.

Needs some TLC

The location of the property is great. We liked being able to walk up to the Alpine Village and the pool and trails were close. However, upon entering the property we were greeted with an awful odor, I can only say it smelled like stinky shoes - maybe one time wet ski gear or the carpeting got wet and musty? We immediately set upon opening all the windows. The blinds were a challenge to get up and and to stay up. The window in the main bedroom would not stay open. The smell was bad enough that we bought febreeze just to neutralize the odor. The paint jobs in the bathrooms are quite bad- incomplete and paint bleeding through, painted around light switches or was unfinished, also under the window in the main bedroom some drywall seems to have flaked off in a small pile. The television in the main bedroom did not work- we got it to turn on without the remote, but that was it. There was a Wi which was exciting for my kids but we could not get it to work- seems like there was a cord missing- but there were no instructions anywhere for anything. A welcome book with pool hours, restaurants, local info would have been nice. I would assume all these units are the same and we would enjoy Collins Lake again, we would not rent this unit, unless it was fixed up.

Great Stay

This has a great location for a weekend visit. The house was clean and cozy. Bed were great, and the amenities were working during our stay. I do love the quick access to the hike trails and around the pond as well.

Lovely condo facing the woods

No highway noise! Well equipped kitchen. comfortable beds. Master bedroom needs a dresser and functioning blinds for the windows. Overall, would stay there again.

Very Clean Place

Appreciated this being a pet friendly condo so we could have our fur babies with us. The place was very clean, as was the gas grill on the deck. The 2 beds that we used were pretty comfortable. Only issues were that the knobs on the front door & garage door were both loose, and the garage door knob didn't lock. Thankfully the front door has a dead bolt, so that one at least was secure.

Great location

Nicely updated condo. Great access to gov't camp.and nearby snow areas. The space was clean and comfortable. There had been a snow the night before and the space in front of the garage had not been shoveled, which made it hard to park in the garage.

Perfect location...

Great spot, clean, perfect location to walk into town and to the ski resort. Unfortunately we only stayed one of our two nights due to a snowboard accident. Don't plan on checking in anytime before 4pm...we had to wait until 4:15pm-due to cleaning staff.

Quiet Unit with nice view

This Collins Lake Condo has a great location- it is quiet and backs up to forest so you have a nice view out the back. It is as far as you can get from the pool/hot tub if that matters to you. It is a lovely condo that has been kept in good shape. Plenty of room to relax in. Comfortable couches and beds. Well stocked kitchen. Great stay.

Great location to enjoy Government Camp

This home was a great home base from which to explore Government Camp. We enjoyed walking around the lake, sledding in the snow and taking in the beauty of the area. The kitchen was less stocked than we would have hoped and it seemed like the wood floors had not been throughly cleaned for a while, but otherwise the home was lovely. We would definitely book it again.
