Pet friendly home with access to beach, pool, and tennis courts

Three bedroom, two bath, third row house. You can easily walk to the beach, pool and tennis courts. Spend the day enjoying the nearby shopping and restaurants. If you do not want to eat out, you can enjoy the full kitchen and outdoor grill to cook a nice meal at home. This property has a cozy living room and sun room for you and your group to hang out at night. There are four cable TVs with DVD players if your group wants to have a movie night after a long day at the beach. For added comfort there are ceiling fans throughout the home.
The square footage of this home is 1,316. Wi-Fi included. Pet Friendly with $200 nonrefundable fee and a 1 dog limit. Must provide proof of current flea medication prior to arrival. NO SMOKING.

Rentals are stocked with small ‘starter packs’ that include: toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, soap, dishwashing soap, and dishwasher detergent.

Only concern is condition of two single and one queen mattresses. Okay for kids, so noisy when adult sleeping on them, sleep is seriously affected. King mattress is great. Please replace the others. Great vacation spot

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house is great, the location is the best and the community pool and tennis/pickleball court are wonderful. The small but functional backyard could be enhanced with fencing on the two sides not already fenced by neighbors. Also the direct tv needs to include some sports channels such as ESPN. Observations: box springs on queen bed very squeeky, king mattress is broken down, water dispenser on frig not working, wet towel left in washing machine along with lots of sand when we arrived. Otherwise best rental ever!

A Rather Disappointing Experience

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Rented Beachside Drive 26 for last week Sept. Day before arrival, Island Realty advised refrigerator in home needed repair, but another would be in kitchen for use. On arrival, found a mini-fridge with little freezer space & no icemaker as sub for side-by-side w/icemaker pictured. During call, we asked if we could extend stay by day if desired. Rental rep said yes since unit was vacant our departure day. He said let them know up to the day before departure & we could add extra day. Sent email 2 days before rental period to end & requested 1-day extension. Did not receive response. Next day sent 2nd email & received a response that we could not extend because unit was booked. Called Island Realty & spoke to the same rental agent who said we could do this. He advised owners, who were coming in after us, saw the day available and decided to come in early. This created a problem for us as our 2 adult sons were already on road traveling to spend weekend at beach with us. We found it necessary to rent another unit from a different realtor at significant expense & lost beach day moving to another home. The rental is in a great location a short walk to the beach & outdoor shower was nice, lovely sunroom, nice master mattress. As to interior, property needs to be better equipped, especially kitchen, with upgrades. For us, additional appliance in kitchen made it difficult to use dinette. House needs deep clean: the coffee pot was filthy, bathroom & kitchen floors are quite dirty, utensils required good wash before use. Patio furniture too dirty to use. Most, if not all, of the ceiling fan lights are burned out & some of the lamps are as well. Kitchen utensils need upgrade, carving knife capable of peeling fruit/veggies. We were provided limited number of cheap, commercial grade linens for 3-bedroom home, requiring frequent use of washing machine which sounded as if it needed repair. TV service was by satellite rather than cable with relatively limited viewing package. <

The house was to be ready at 4pm. When we went to check in the house was not cleaned yet and waiting for cleaning inspection. When the house was ready, we walked into a very dirty floor and no sheets on king size bed. The washing machine had tons of sand left in it. Called the company managing the property they had some one out to clean. Cleaning was still dirty tons of dirt and balls of hair rolling around the floor. We will be looking at other places to stay next year.

A Great Family Vacation

We had a few minor issues during our stay that were rectified the same day that I notified maintenance team. This home is so close to the beach, pool and shopping that there's hardly a need to leave the driveway. Looking forward to coming back soon. Being pet friendly is a real plus for us. This is our 3rd time staying here and the tv in the room with two beds has never worked. We reported it the last time we stayed and learned nothing could be done about it so we didn't bother this time.

Great location but the house is showing its age

Reviewer Comments: Isle of Palms is a great beach, Island Realty a good company to work with, and the Seaside neighborhood a great location for quick access both to the beach and to local stores and restaurants. As for this specific house—it’s showing its age. It was well-cleaned for our arrival, and the exterior paint is pretty fresh, but inside, there’s a dinginess in the details and cheapness in various furnishings, such as: cheap sink and bath fixtures (with mold or mildew beneath the clear plastic on the tub handles), peeling caulk around shower stalls, rusty door hinges, corroded edges around the mirrors, barely functional vertical blinds of Dollar Store quality (these need to be replaced right away), a dryer that thumps loudly no matter how light the load, a motley collection of cookware that mostly looks like what the owners were ready to throw out at home (featuring nonstick pans that stick), semi-functioning outdoor hose nozzle (often refuses to shut off), uncomfortable mattresses on the queen and twin beds (the king is ok). If you like a bright and open-feeling place, know that this house stays rather dim. The enclosed sun-porch is air-conditioned but still smells strongly of mildew and some kind of intense cleaning agent. In general, this house was disappointing for the rates we paid. We plan to come back to IOP but not this house—at least, not as long as it’s in its current condition.

The gas grill is beyond its useful life and cannot be cooked upon. A charcoal grill would make a nice replacement at a reasonable cost.2. There is one board on the front entry steps that has raised up and is a potential trip hazard.

It is well equipped and dog friendly with enough space for 4 people to find their own quiet space. A big bonus is the access to the beach. It is a short walk without having to cross a major highway, and the beach is lovely.

Adorable little house

The house is adorable and just a few houses down from the beach entrance so it’s not a long walk. We love the private area and didn’t have to worry about much traffic. Check in was quick and easy as well as Check out. The house is just a few minute walk on the beach from all the shops and restaurants if you don’t feel like driving.

Perfect beach getaway!

Reviewer Comments: Beachside Drive 26 is tucked away in a quiet complex that's off the main road, but still very convenient to the grocery store and other restaurants. The walk to the beach is so easy and only steps away. There is ample parking in the long driveway - both covered and uncovered. The house was clean, well maintained and very well furnished -everything we needed was available. We will definitely return and would recommend to others!
