Beautiful Home just 25' from shoreline of Leech Lake just 5 minutes from Walker

Whether your dream vacation is boating, water sports, fishing, shopping and dining or reading a book on the shores of a beautiful Northern Minnesota lake you need look no further. This lake home provides the perfect setting for a family or several couples to take in fun filled days, relaxing evenings by the campfire, watching the sunset or dining at one of the area's great restaurants only minutes away. Walk 25 feet down to the dock and enjoy the beautiful sandy bottom beach, perfect for swimming and playing.

The house consists of an original red cedar log home with a kitchen, bath, bedroom, great room / dining room and a comfy loft with plenty of seating for relaxed gatherings. An addition was constructed in 2009 adding a full laundry, foyer, master bedroom suite with a gas fireplace and flat screen TV, walk-in shower and 2 guest bedrooms with a Jack and Jill bathroom upstairs.

The home accommodates 8 people very comfortably. You'll find northwoods decor, leather furniture and the ambience and amenities you would expect in first rate 'Up North' home.

The location is perfect. A short walk and you are on the trail system. 3 miles from shopping in Walker and only 5 minutes from the area's finest dining at The Boulders. You'll find plenty to do in the city of Walker with the historic and beautifully rebuilt hotel Chase on the Lake, Reeds Sporting Goods, area restaurants and specialty shops to appeal to all.

The house is uniquely situated only a few feet from the shores of beautiful Kabekona Bay. Access to Walker Bay and Leech Lake is a quick 2 or 3 minute ride East across the Bay. Don't miss out on an experience you won't forget!

The house is only .3 miles from over 100 miles of trails for snowmobiling. Put your fish house (rentals available - just message us for info) out from the cabin on Kabekona Bay where the walleye fishing is waiting for you!

We had a wonderful long family weekend at this VRBO! Stunning views, porch, log cabin gives a true up north feel, spacious, and well stocked with everything you could need! Incredibly clean and as described and picture. The owners were very responsive and helpful! I would definitely go here again

This was our third time staying at The Point cabin. Our family had an end of summer early fall get away. We brought our boats and had a good time on Kabekona Bay and then over to Lake Benedict. The weather was perfect and the cabin, as always, wonderful!

We have stayed at this VRBO for years and will continue renting whenever possible. The property is beautiful and quiet. The bay is great for our pontoon with a great dock. This property isn't secluded the neighbors house is so close...I've seen houses in town farther apart...it was dirty windows haven't been cleaned in awhile...I had to sweep the patio door handle didn't work on one door have to walk a ways to take garbage to the garbage cans not much fish in the bay...nothing off the dock, privacy was horrible...first lawn service and then surveyors and neighbor chain sawing 6:30 in the morning and parking was a nightmare if you had more then 1truck and trailer and also have cameras on you....the layout in the cabin was nice.

Perfect Ice Fishing Weekend

We had a great weekend in this cabin, it was equipped with everything we needed!!! Monica was fast to respond to all messages I sent her before, during, and after the trip. There was plenty of room for 8 adults for a long weekend getaway. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cabin to anyone.

Deer Hunting

We’ve been staying there the last couple years during Deer Hunting. We love going up there every year! The host are great and very accommodating. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a comfortable place to stay up north.

Summer vacation with kids and dogs

We loved the beautiful north woods cabin right on the shoreline with amazing sunsets. Our 2 English setters also had a blast. The kitchen was very well stocked, with everything you can imagine. Hope to be back another time!

Second year in a row - love it!

Our second annual Labor Day gathering for our family. We just love this place. Gorgeous point on a lovely bay of Leech Lake which is perfect for relaxing, swimming, playing bocce ball & Frisbee, and just hanging out. The lake house is beautifully appointed with everything you need. Highly recommended!

Old Crony Annual Golf Outing

We have stayed at VRBO listed properties all over northern Mn lake country for years. There is finally unanimous consensus amongst 8-70 something Yr old dudes that we have found our "go to" for future events. The pics and description of this beauty are spot on. It is a majestic place. The "extras" as far as provisions provided however are above and beyond anything I have ever experienced in 35 yrs of renting vacation spots. Finally, Monica is professional, responsive and a delight to do business with.

AMAZING! BETTER THAN THE PICTURES!

This is truly a very special place, perfect for any and all interests. Location is perfect. Fishing, biking, walking, shopping, eating, kayaking, reading, games, puzzles, movies, smores by the fire! We stayed there the month of September & would not hesitate to book again! It will be our 1st choice. Great communication with Monica! We cannot say enough good about this home. Lovely Family Weekend

We had a wonderful long weekend with my family. There were 4 couples and each family was comfortable in their own room. The kitchen was easy to use and had all the tools and equip. that we needed so our meals were really nice too. There were good hang-out spaces for folks to take a break when the hustle and bustle of the larger group was tiring. It was a lovely family weekend and the location and house were just right for us. The Point Cabin was purchased by our parents in 2000 after more than 15 years of staying at resorts on Leech Lake. Our parents restored the cabin to like-new condition and added on in 2008. Sadly, our mother passed away in 2010 and life took our father in a different direction. In 2018 we had the opportunity to purchase the family cabin. We look forward to not only our family continuing to make memories in our beloved home, but for your family to make lifelong memories here as well!

After vacationing in the Walker / Leech Lake area for many years, falling in love with the area and making many friends we decided we wanted to own a property here so that we could spend more time enjoying all that we had come to love. After much looking we chose a charming red cedar log “cabin”. It was a private refuge with a secluded, calm “up-north” feeling. Over the years we remodeled and finally added on in 2009 creating an amazing retreat. Life then took us in a different direction and we didn’t have the time to spend at the lake that we once had. We decided to maintain our family cabin and make it available to others as a remarkable rental property.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

The Point Cabin, as we call it, is uniquely situated on a small point of Kabekona Bay affording incredible, panoramic views of this beautiful Northern Minnesota lake. You will enjoy a 180 degree view of the bay. A mere 25 feet from the water the cabin provides an intimacy with the lake that few other properties can. Less than 10 steps and you are on the dock. There is also a beautiful lawn to enjoy lawn games, a fire ring for the marshmallow roast or relaxing and telling your favorite Minnesota ghost stories. Cast a line from the dock, take a swim in the sand bottom swim area or read a book in the hammock. A short walk and you can access the area's trail system or rent a boat/jet ski and enjoy fishing or water sports on this protected bay. Prefer shopping or dining? The Point Cabin is located about 3 miles from downtown Walker and even closer to one of the area’s finest restaurants, Boulders (Reservations recommended!). Whatever you decide to do on your vacation, this is the place to do it.
